    Thanks Bryan.
    I have a PM 6 a part now.
Both sides are opposite from what I'm used to.

When the carb is flooding and the needle lever is level w/body and the stack-up is diaphragm/GASKET/valve body (impressions of the needle lever can be seen in the welch plug and the diaphragm rivet), I reverse the stack; GASKET/diaphragm/valve body. Now the carb does not flood but the engine won't start.
So - am gonna try shim-gasket/diaphram/GASKET/valve body to lift the diaphragm a tiny bit (~0.010") away from the needle lever (bec the lever is level with the body). Hopefully, this won't keep the needle open for flooding, and will allow the engine to run with reasonable jet screw settings.
    Comment?

I went with what the IPL showed and not the ahip manual on my future ones I did and zero issues. I'm not going to over think these little saws.

I guess I'm going to have to try switching the gasket and the diaphram position I did a rebuild on my late fathers Power Mac 6,because it was leaking fuel out the muffler. So I got a rebuild kit and followed the provided instructions to a T and after putting it back together the way it came apart, it does the same exact thing.I did get the saws to run for a few seconds, but then it floods out,and pulling on the starter cord just loads it up even more and runs fuel out the muffler.. I will report back if switching them around solves the leaking issue.

OK thank you I’ve got some of those mini Macs since you put it like that I was hoping it would be a big saw it doesn’t sound as cool as I thought it would be will see what it is

Mini mac first came with a 2.0 cubic inch engine then later got a 2.3cubic inch. The pm6 has a 2.0

Got to love those little saws. I had the same problem on a Tilly hu10 last year. Never got it right. Had to but another one. Any idea on what happened to Jereme?

No idea why he suddenly got re mlm over from TH-cam, I've been in contact with him about it. He sent in an appeal and is waiting to heat back. He will continue videos, at least live at 5pm, on facebook if not back and up by Saturday.

Theres the mini mac 30 and it has a tiny engine like this one. A mc30 is a kart engine but can be fitted into a chainsaw body.

Wow that's a weird one, I've never seen on be RIGHT with meter right next to the body. Took me a while to get that in my head and then I see this saw is backward!? Ha! And you said the IPL showed it one way and the service manual showed it the other!? That's pretty crazy. Where did you get that giant Mac manual anyway? That was pretty cool.

Well I switched the diaphram and the gasket around, and it still putting fuel out the muffler ! Guess I'll just regulate it to being a door stop in the shop.

I have a saw I’m gunna send u some pics, no idea what it is it’s old, has the 1/2 inch chain( I think) it’s all taken apart needs a rebuilt motor, I ruined the crank taking it apart, might make for a good motor swap saw

Just in my possession is a well-used McCulloch Power Mac 6. Took down the carb to soak. During disassembly the diaphragm was closest to the carb body. Then gasket. Good runner. Great starter.

Goes against everything i know and the IPL but shop manual says diaphragm first and that's what i did.
