@27:00 Yes, they do indeed crow at all hours. I have one particularly large Maron and sometimes he will come into the coop while I'm collecting eggs in the evening before sunset and attempt to blow out my eardrums with his crowing.
The tritone paradox description that Sandi gave wasn't quite right. The first 'note' is actually two notes an octave apart. The second note is a tritone above the lower note and a tritone below the higher note. e.g. C4 and C5, followed by F#4 Notes that are an octave apart have a similar quality so some people just hear a single note. If the second sound isn't equidistant from the first notes then it would make it easier to hear both notes.
Its likely that when we feel different feelings like happiness or anxiety/tension dogs can smell the changes in our body chemistry. When we feel love (more oxytocin) when we feel stress (more cortisol) etc., etc.
I live in Reno, Nevada. I'll have to do some research with the casinos around here and see if they smell different. There's a sentence I never thought I'd write.
The whole thing about the dogs is completely ridiculous the idea that they can't tell by looking at your face what's going on is completely absurd I don't know where she got her test from but I've had dogs and that is not the case animals are much smarter than people give them credit for and it always sets my hair on edge whenever I hear people discounting the things that others may consider magical but it's just the way animals are they can hear they can see they have brains they can smell sure but the idea that they don't know when somebody's not in the house for a certain period of time is just ridiculous
@rickritman6913 I agree that this was a rather lame episode. Men (on average) are just funnier. The earlier days with the likes of Bill Bailey and Phill Jupitus were so much better. Sandi is awesome, but she has pushed too hard for more women on the show. However, we’re not allowed to say such things, so this is just between you and me. ;-p
I love it when the ladies are on!

I remember in the 80s when I was so addicted to shopping at Macy's and I couldn't understand why this show has shed some light on that

I can’t hear higher frequencies, so they all goo down to me. The low frequency note will always be dominant.

What the hell happened to QI ? this is so bad.
In what sense?
This is 3 years old lol
Filmed during covid, so no crowds, therefore less laughter. So perception is less funny.
Or are you just upset with 3 women on the panel?
