After School is one of the most iconic girl groups! I'm so happy & thankful to Kahi, Jungah, Bekah, Jooyeon & Raina for performing together again. 💖
Which other girl group would learn drumming and tap dancing for their comeback these days? Kahi really had an amazing group that was well ahead of their time. AS used to be beyond great and she'll always be a legendary dancer.
@@oanhnguyen-hp9pt true, every kpop group has now similar concepts and all are the same, it's just boring now but before every group had such unique styles and were always very distinguishable. girl groups like Wonder girls, Snsd, F(x), Miss A, T-ara, Kara, After School, 4minute etc... each of these girl groups tried sooo many different concepts each comeback and had so much variety in both concept and in their music as well.
I got into After School after Kahi had already left, and have always been obsessed with Nana. But watching their old performances has made me realize that had Kahi still been around I probably wouldn't have looked twice at Nana. Kahi is truly something else.
Alva Rosager that's cause everything was so Kahi focused. Not gonna lie, kind of glad she left because at least everyone got to shine in their choreography after she left. It got old when she was always front and centered in everything when Uie and Nana were the ones why people watched AS stages. Even internationally, everyone only focused on Nana. Only fake fans say that Kahi's absence was the reason why AS "flopped"(even tho they sold more albums and singles after she left lmao).

yeah...the key word is "used to be".........it's hard to find smth. really great and original in k-pop these days...especially if you have a long history with it that goes back to the era of groups like TVXQ, etc....
well obviosly things changed but it has always been like that and it had had it's time. I don't think the "new" kpop is as bad as you like to make it out to be (other comments as well). While there are many things I miss in todays kpop (but mostly certain groups tho) I also think it brought many new and interesting concepts that hadn't been done to this extend back then so I think it's just about taste and that you guys feel more nostalgia for the old era (which is probably also why you like it more). Please praise this great time in kpop without bringing the new one down, thank you
Pledis has such a great concepts in their groups. The problem is their strategy in fighting or keeping up with other competitors. Plus their members are come and go which is the result of bad management. Such a great talent after school.
Some, maybe most, but not all, there are the legends in my opinion that almost always sing live, Exid as an example, sistar was also pretty strong and B.E.G and perhaps mamamoo, but still there are occasions where you are required to lip sync in events because there’s no room for errors
Thats why SNSD and other 2nd Gen group are praised by the real live vocals with few or no background vocals. Like SNSD into the new world practice, they did not just practice the choreography but also live singing while dancing in the practice room but I dont mean 3rd Gen groups are bad cuz they do have harder choreographies than the 2nd Gen ones but still want them to perform real real live performance without any background vocals PEACE
It's also the fault of music shows since they have given the idols options regarding live singing. Now idols can choose whether to do 70% live down to 30% live. More idols choose 50% and for non vocalist, its 30% or total lipsync.
I'm actually impressed with how good their ghosting is. Following the snare part and not the super prominent tenor part, they're hitting close to every beat with the snare, but they leave out a lot of the rolls and harder stuff

Coming here again after watching their reunion performances in MMTG! 😭 They're still slaying the performances. Vocals, raps, dance, stage presence, charisma, aura, facial expressions! After School is one of the most iconic girl groups! I'm so happy & thankful to Kahi, Jungah, Bekah, Jooyeon & Raina for performing together again. 💖

I got into After School after Kahi had already left, and have always been obsessed with Nana. But watching their old performances has made me realize that had Kahi still been around I probably wouldn't have looked twice at Nana. Kahi is truly something else.
Alva Rosager that's cause everything was so Kahi focused. Not gonna lie, kind of glad she left because at least everyone got to shine in their choreography after she left. It got old when she was always front and centered in everything when Uie and Nana were the ones why people watched AS stages. Even internationally, everyone only focused on Nana. Only fake fans say that Kahi's absence was the reason why AS "flopped"(even tho they sold more albums and singles after she left lmao).

yeah...the key word is "used to be".........it's hard to find smth. really great and original in k-pop these days...especially if you have a long history with it that goes back to the era of groups like TVXQ, etc....

well obviosly things changed but it has always been like that and it had had it's time. I don't think the "new" kpop is as bad as you like to make it out to be (other comments as well). While there are many things I miss in todays kpop (but mostly certain groups tho) I also think it brought many new and interesting concepts that hadn't been done to this extend back then so I think it's just about taste and that you guys feel more nostalgia for the old era (which is probably also why you like it more). Please praise this great time in kpop without bringing the new one down, thank you

in this era we can hear they singing live. Girl groups now focus more to look than voice so when they live they're not singing but lipsync.
I agree. They focus having a perfect performance.
Some, maybe most, but not all, there are the legends in my opinion that almost always sing live, Exid as an example, sistar was also pretty strong and B.E.G and perhaps mamamoo, but still there are occasions where you are required to lip sync in events because there’s no room for errors
Thats why SNSD and other 2nd Gen group are praised by the real live vocals with few or no background vocals.
Like SNSD into the new world practice, they did not just practice the choreography but also live singing while dancing in the practice room but I dont mean 3rd Gen groups are bad cuz they do have harder choreographies than the 2nd Gen ones but still want them to perform real real live performance without any background vocals PEACE
It's also the fault of music shows since they have given the idols options regarding live singing. Now idols can choose whether to do 70% live down to 30% live. More idols choose 50% and for non vocalist, its 30% or total lipsync.
