I love this series, you are really portraying the diversity in England, and have hit the nail on the head with these builds. I think a lot of people shy away from council estates and flats because they're not as glamorous as the London townhouses. This is the reason you're my favourite builder; you are not afraid to show these different communities and builds, within the UK, that others may not be aware of and you represent them perfectly. You're also one of the few builders that accurately portrays our English homes, (I've tried and failed in my own game lol. ) Love your builds, love your humour, love your channel!
Love the teen hangout area, I can just imagine it with an old mini fridge and a grim sofa at the back! Also, I'm loving how accurate the whole build looks
Yeah I spent quite a bit of time in someone's nasty garage in my delinquent youth (read: like three years ago haha) and the mini fridge was absolutely ESSENTIAL (Edited bc I thought I should move anecdote to my own comment oops)
Yep. In my experiences, it was always a dank couch that someone pulled in from an alley (or swiped from their family when they got a new one), a mini-fridge, and then random-ass lamps, posters, and usually a pile of magazines somewhere--and definitely one of those old TVs often with a gaming system that eventually got stolen by someone
i have a super short attention span so long videos are really hard for me to get through, usually gotta take a couple of breaks BUT i can always watch your videos without a problem at all. and i absolutely love let's build newcrest!
Viki Pollard won't go to Carly and Gaz's wedding because, *ahem* "Yea but no but yea but one time Mandy Moore and Carly totally tried leszzing me up but I didn't sleep with Harrison so SHUT UPPP" 😂👌
I'm glad you're doing a disabled flat! I have an in law with CF and the only thing in her ground floor flat out if the ordinary is an oxygen tank in the bedroom (which I feel is easier than making a wheelchair accessible styled flat) and there's also the barriers in get to work if you want to use them for a blind or mobility compromised sim or something. Also it's hilarious you mention little Britain as we've started doing saying "call me bubbles darling" round this way, definitely not a sign were going mad 😂
Ooo nice and yh in the carpark behind my flat, the garages are used more for storage than actually holding cars 😂😂 I only saw bikes in them so its more realistic to have cars outside the garages 😂
Lmaooo when I was 15 and went to Kiev with my friends the “hotel” was pretty much this, one of my friends was bit by a bedbug and still now 2 years later she still has a scar, sad but it was an amazing city with a lot to offer!
I spent some teenage years in someone's disgusting garage, looked quite similar to this one except a large percentage of the space was taken up by the nastiest couch in the world, like a weird rust colored fleecy material and if anyone ever didn't have a lighter on them we could just lift up the cushions and there would be like 3. And two of them would even work! Some interesting things of a naughty nature took place on that couch...not with me! Not with me! But people I knew... I have a little Timothy on the landing-esque anecdote which was that a dear friend of mine had an *encounter* with an individual named Wil with one L, and she told me later that he counted down to his own...*completion* like "three, two, one, @#*&%. If you catch my drift. Is that inappropriate to write here lol.
Yesss so good! I look forward to seeing the sims who'll live in it and hear their stories. I hope you'll add a rebellious teen or two that hangs out in that garage. I feel the only thing missing on the outside if I think of such flats where I live would be satellite dishes and maybe some bicycles?
I just realised I was getting emotional invested in your characters I caught myself saying “man Karly deserves better! She’s trying to be her best self, and he doesn’t even really care about her!” Like I even know their lives haha they aren’t real!
You might be doing this later in the episode, but I'll forget if I try and save for later... Anyway, you could use the dine-out rug with the rubber holes for the entrance mat. I am very excited about this. Do with it what you like. I am also very amazed how you sit down every time to build the next one in this world. Thanks for the content.
Can't wait to see what kind of characters you move into this build! I have ideas but honestly I'm excited to see what your beautiful creative mind conjures up! ❤
The teen hangout spot gave me an idea of something you could maybe do for a future build. A family home with a teenage son who plays in a garage band so you could put some guitars and microphones and maybe a keyboard in the garage
Oh!!! Since you're gonna put a disabled sim you could raise the building a bit, put some stairs at the entrance and make a ramp with roofs for the disabled sim, so he can enter the building! That would be lovely and very realistic too.
As always, such a good build!! For the basket ball court: You could make your own flood lights using columns and the "flood light" wall light from get to work (? I think it's from that pack). For your residents, one flat could be one of the parents of your previous builds which would tie in the story lines potentially. Also love the drag queen apartment idea!
Aiden - do you remember Grange Hill? That's the theme tune that comes to mind when I see this build! You are a wee part of my day that really lifts my spirits during this weird time so thanks for the laughs!
My sister just walked up to me to ask me something and I just stuck my hand out and went SHUUUUSH. She looked at me like I’m mad... 😂 love the video it’s kind of weird to see buildings I see everyday be built in the sims!
these builds are so uncanny valley for me ! the 70s home looks just like where my dad grew up, these flats look just like where my mum grew up, and the modern/show home looks exactly like the house my brother just moved into lol
The Speed Build is a Lie.... :) This brings back so many memories from my childhood lol, thank you for that. Can Gary have a best friend called Aaron, they call each other Gazza and Azza and even have matching license plates. lol
I am absolutely loving all these videos... I feel very spoiled and it's glorious. I made a very unattractive noise when laughing at the fingering by the bins story and the boyfriend just stared at me like "wtf is going on over there" which just made it all the more funny to me
As an architecture student with a lot of ~feelings~ about the state of social housing in the uk rn, I'm so happy you're including a council block in your builds for Newcrest! Thanks so much for the daily videos, I can't even imagine how much work it represents for you :)
"Brun" is spelt like that in Swedish, Norwegian and Danish but is only pronounced that way you say it in Swedish and Norwegian, I chuckle everytime you say it as a Dane 😆 I love this build since it reminds me of the building I live in! 😍🥰 xx
Yesss! I always love your builds because they are always so realistic. It's really nice to see, especially now since we can't really be out and about right now 😂
For the floodlights in the basketball court there's a wall light from I think get to work that you could level up to go on the sides of the court fences (they sort of look like floodlights just without the pole)
Maybe in some of the flats the can have the balcony closed? I see that a lot, they put come archway and use it as more space, more likely on the ones on the back.
We all know a Sharon! I imagine the camera links to the AV channel on everyone's TV so you get a grainy image of who's at the front door. My nan used to have that and she'd sit for hours nosing on Agnes with the knitted slippers 😂 I'm making suggestions out loud and my husband is hating. .. "you know he can't hear you.." rude.
Two suggestions: What about the wooden outdoor retreat light as a floodlight in the basketball court? And maybe you should change the fence in the back to a debug one so that it doesn't block Sims from using these clotheslines? PS: you make my quarantine days bearable Aden, thank you
Broon is Scottish for brown. Surely you've heard of The Broons from Glebe Street in the Sunday Post? I am thoroughly enjoying this series, the back stories are fabulous. I would love to see you do a play through of these characters, especially Carly and Gaz (aka Garly that's their star couple name ;P)
OMG Little Britain 😂 "yeh but no but yeh but no but" I read somewhere recently That David Walliams & Matt Lucas are going to bring out another series of it! 🤪
the amount of nostalgia i gleaned from these horrid little garages is actually hilarious... they're definitely true to life, especially the visibly unusable doors, and that shit little CRT sat atop a crate. good lord lmao.
Those doorbells are WAY too low down LOL! Sorry I could not resist. No'bothered! About allowed outing ... I am convinced a friend is trying to kill me. I ended up walking 14 km today, and a lot of it over bloody boulders and pebbles on the beach. He is evil. When you said, nice little play area for the children, I was expecting, "A nice place for the little sh*ts." 🤣 What might be great, is a name for the block. 'Loyo Heights' on the central core over the door hehehe. Instead of building stuff myself, I'm now watching your videos each day. You know you can't possibly ever go back to work now.
Me 5 minutes into watching: Whelp, that's an image that is going to haunt me to the rest of my days! Super excited to see the apartment videos, especially the drag queens, I know you won't do CAS for this series but it would be interesting to see how you would style a drag queens hair and make up :)
God, I need to binge watch Little Britain again. Love this build! (Edit to say: Brun is Brown in Norwegian, which means it's probably in Swedish too :D)
This block of flats combined with wicked whims and basemental drugs would make a bloody awesome series as it would be realistic as certain sketchy things happen in a block of flats like polygamy, drug abuse, drug production and prostitution all of which come with the mods. I'm aware that these examples aren't always common place and that some of the greatest success stories have come from the council estates of Britain including Lord Sugar and many footballers.
I can just hear “CHAAANNEEELLLL!!” being shouted from this particular lot and I blimmin LOVE it

Awe thanks mate. I love building places I know well. Not everything in the UK is a Grade ll listed villa ya know? Lol
Love the teen hangout area, I can just imagine it with an old mini fridge and a grim sofa at the back! Also, I'm loving how accurate the whole build looks

Carly is such a queen. Selling weed to kids getting fingered by the bins, what an absolute icon. We stan
LOL
@@DevonBumpkin i love u and everything about this series.
I need someone to make a compilation of Aden going "because, you know, sims..."
Yesss! I’m here and I’m ready for my daily dose of Aden’s hilarious commentary 🤣
same hahahhah
Bumper sticker merch idea "I was fingered behind the bins for a packet of prawn cocktail Walkers"
YES! lol
I haven't got to that part yet but I can already tell I'm going to enjoy this episode
Also its better without stairs outside so the elderly or disabled can live on the ground floor 😊
Story time, this build I’m feeling it.I could not do this stay indoors without your content.
i have a super short attention span so long videos are really hard for me to get through, usually gotta take a couple of breaks BUT i can always watch your videos without a problem at all.
and i absolutely love let's build newcrest!
The kids could purchase weed from Carly and Gaz.....
Omg yes 🤣😂
Resident idea: an ultra hippie, flower crown and all
Carole Baskin? 👀😂
Are they in competition with Gaz and Carly's business?
This build is giving me skins vibes, especially with the teen hangout.
Lara Lauterbach yes, and skins was ‘trashy’ enough :)
Lara Lauterbach awww skins. The first one though.
@@sogno_di_carta6430 yeah right! Love generation 1
If only we could make it work lile apartments, this build is so nice.
Love how you have a play area for everyone, playground for kids, garage for teens, and bin area for Carly 👉🏻
Viki Pollard won't go to Carly and Gaz's wedding because, *ahem* "Yea but no but yea but one time Mandy Moore and Carly totally tried leszzing me up but I didn't sleep with Harrison so SHUT UPPP" 😂👌
LOL
Love it
Idk if you’ll see this, but watching you legit helps me when I’m having anxiety. So, thank you so much for existing!
Yesss I just watched Part 1 and was excited that I didn't have to wait long for part 2 😁
I really love that you thought about a disability accessible apartment!

Same but in Barcelona

I just added this build to my game. I am loving going through all your builds. Especially the UK ones. They are so beautiful!!!
I just realised I was getting emotional invested in your characters I caught myself saying “man Karly deserves better! She’s trying to be her best self, and he doesn’t even really care about her!” Like I even know their lives haha they aren’t real!
I’ve been waiting for this all damn day 😍 just came home from an evening car ride and can’t wait to finally watch it 😍 lots of love from germany
The doors irl would probably only open out as there is a push bar on the inside. So the placement of the mail boxes works! :) love this!
You might be doing this later in the episode, but I'll forget if I try and save for later...

No problem! I feel representing all aspects of the UK way if life really shows people how diverse we are and why it's important to us. :)
idk if this fits but some fairy lights in the hangout/garage could be cool.

In one of the flats you could put some of the plants you hid out the back of Carly and Gary's house that one of the residents have bought
Gaz getting sticky fingers behind the biffa bins 😂
LOL
perfect timing! i just made some tea! STUNNING
Carlie is the talk of the town. An ICONIC queen.
So so excited to see your CAS videos!

“The slight smell of weed” i was thinking that as you said it 😂
I thought he said wee, though... lol...
PinkJuniper loll yeah he did i just didn’t fix my typo, it could be both tbh my old complex smelled like both hah
I look forward to your videos every day, you crack me up!
I'm Loving This Build Can't Wait For It To Be Finished
Love watching your videos. You are a sweet funny man and you are a huge inspiration.
i think a cool build idea could be a run down corner shop owned by a local family, theyre so iconic in british culture
I’ve been excited for this build all day

"no ball games!" that cracked me up!! if you cant take the mick out of yourself, you cant take the mick out of anyone else, that's my motto!
Just what I was waiting for!
teen hangout could have been like Eric Forman’s basement from That 70’s Show, it looks great anyway
This looks so accurate. Can't wait to download it 😄
huge fan of little brittan here! I love your Carly and Gaz..
You should put antennas out on the balconies!! In sweden most of these houses has that
love this ♥️ maybe add a prepper stash to one of the garages with the stranger things items can't remember the name of them.
You can just size down the spat painting thing and it won’t affect the result of the painting/mural
Just switched off a Netflix documentary when I got your video notification... dedication... SHUUUUUUSH!
SHOOOSH. Thank you Abi

I'm english, and can verify people do get fingered by the bins in a council blocks, its quite common actually
‘Fingered behind the bins’ hahahaha sooo chav-tastic I love it...typical british love story
i love ur builds and ur personality so much
Carly & Gaz behind the bins 😳😂😂
As soon as you said packet of prawn cocktail crisps I knew what you were talking about haha
Use the doors from City Lving, where there are numbers on the actual doors. Would look really well! Love the build 🙌🏼
No, I'm happy with the doors. The City Living ones don't suit this build for me :)
@@DevonBumpkin Fair enough! Your videos has definitely helped me through the quarantine... love from Denmark😃

(Edit to say: Brun is Brown in Norwegian, which means it's probably in Swedish too :D)
You can use the „rugs” from Strangerville to make the bins area a bit more... smelly and dirty. :)
Yes, yes it is brown in Swedish 😄 and I cackle every time you say it. Might very well be in Norwegian as well, we like to say things similarly
Just an idea. How about a small sand box for the kiddie area? We always buried coins in the sand for our grandkids to find. They loved it.
coming home from school and playing infection with mates, ah the good old days . enjoy your halo nostalgia tonight !
You could also add the bubble blower to the gross teen garage
I’ve been waiting for this all damn day 😍
I loved this one, you just keep killing me with laughter. I need to remember not to have a drink with me while watching so I can save my screen!
Pretty sure the no ball sign wouldn't have stopped Carly!
