I lived in Stokes Croft for well over 20 years. The recently self-styled "Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft" are generally regarded with contempt by genuine residents & locals. They are just a small bunch of patronizing pseuds & hangers-on with no genuine connection to the area: hippies, layabouts, 'students' & other parasitic dross who, with no consultation of genuine locals, get funding to vandalize the area that should have been spent on genuine improvements for the hard-working taxpaying genuine residents & local traders.
