I hear leaving a comment on videos you watch help them do better on youtube, not that I'm asking you to do that but what you do knowing that is entirely up to you.
Anybody that has the opinion "Streaming is harder than a 9-5" is so unbelievably out of touch with reality that it's honestly somewhat disturbing. Millions, if not BILLIONS of people, would KILL to be able to sit at home all day and play videogames or chat to a camera or watch TH-cam videos while being paid MILLIONS to do so. Some streamers desperately need a reality check. Quite honestly some of the most entitled people on the planet.
Then those 1billion people should just become professional streamers if it’s not hard. If being a professional steamer isn’t difficult then there shouldn’t be anything stopping them.
@@KentuckyBullrat32 Being a streamer isn't hard, but the barrier to entry is much higher than working a 9-5. Your take is that of someone who hasn't worked a day for anything in their life.
Streaming is likely easier than working a 9-5 but I wouldn't want to worry about being behind a camera all day every day or playing the same game or certain type of game all day every day.
I do love and enjoy your let’s plays, but hearing your opinions are down right refreshing. Never stop the grind wolf, love your work, all the greatest blessings to you and your viewers.
There's always a compromise to everything. Streaming is a heck of a lot easier than a 9-5, however, streamers have to worry about their privacy constantly, and the more traction a streamer gains, the more likely it is that they'll get crazies trying to find them in real life, or even swat them.
i keep putting your videos on at night because i actually want to hear what you say, but i always fall asleep after like 5 minutes! (and i mean that as compliment!)
... holy shit. I should stream my 9-5. I wash dishes at a Brew Pub. I could do both at once and get paid by both (if I get an audience and my boss remembers to do payroll)
The one you are thinking of from faze is “PlaqueBoyMax” (AKA PBM) he said this as rage bait for twitter because it started off as a joke within his community (5$TAR his community) and he knew pages on twitter would take it and run with it so hes been playing along with it this whole time, So basically he doesnt really believe that streaming is harder than a 9-5 he just said it as rage bait within his community and twitter ran with it so now hes capitalizing and playing along. As a former member of 5$TAR (his community) i felt the need to clarify because i am also a big fan of your videos. Anyways have a great day and keep the uploads coming!
I think most people would be more agreeable if the dilemma is framed as “being self-employed is harder than being an employee”. Any job that requires you to manage your own means of income, and having to manage the whole chain of operations than someone who has their operation laid out for them and other niceties and securities.
I feel like job difficulty is dependent on whether you like your job or not. someone who loves a 10h landscaping shift is going to feel like their job is much easier than a streamer who streams 3h a day but hates doing it. Me personally, I don't mind working 8 hour shifts because I find that I still have a lot of free time after my day, and I can find some enjoyment from my job.
It depends how popular you are, streaming at a high level takes more skill than the average job. It’s like saying being a standup comedian or actor is easy. Also popular steamers can’t go into public without being harassed or having people ask for pictures on top of having people who dedicate their lives to doxing, swatting, stalking and going to streamers houses. Popular steamers absolutely have more stressful jobs than the average 9-5.
@@EpicGamerMan he’s a top 5 most popular streamer of all time. You don’t get there through luck, he’s extraordinarily good at streaming. I promise if the average 9-5 worker tried to steam they wouldn’t be able to keep 10 viewers entertained let alone 50,000 at the same time. Steaming isn’t just playing video games, it’s entertaining. Streaming is a very skillful job. The average 9-5 is more physically demanding than steaming, yes. But steaming is far more mentally demanding.
@@Apekbro Lol what? He was literally just a gamer competing in tournaments for Overwatch. Id argue his position now is ultimately harder than it was prior for the reason being now he actually has to take into account what he says, what he does etc. With his current position in streaming he has constant competition, viewers have heightened expectations and not to mention he's got contracts he has to worry about. Back then he had less problems to worry about because of his streaming platform being significantly smaller and therefore leading to less pressure to keep up the same pace of content creation. While yeah, it would've been a slower process but that doesn't mean it makes it any harder 😭
@@bsn6e4 keep in mind, he had to be good enough at overwatch too have viewers in the first place. He was one of the best tanks in the world, which is extremely difficult.
I am commenting before watching this whole video, but I wanted to put my thoughts out there before I hear yours out. FaZe Lacy is the guy you’re referring to who went semi-viral. He’s what people call in the streaming space a “clip farmer.” Essentially they’ll do or say something for the purpose of that snippet going viral and it doesn’t necessarily reflect their views. Hasanabi I believe was referring to the mental aspect of streaming can be more difficult than a 9-5. The workload that a streamer of the 1% has can wildly vary, but I do strongly believe that it takes a whole different skill set to make a living off of streaming. I am inclined to agree with Hasanabi that streaming when it comes to mental health is much more taxing and difficult than working register at the grocery store. It’s not the hardest job in the world by any means, but I think it’s silly to look at the people who make a career out of streaming and think that’s it’s easy. There’s so many different variables that go into being a public figure that most people will never understand and by proxy it won’t be taken into consideration
I would argue that it is for a lot of people. Not everyone, most don’t try lol. But grabbing the attention, forming the connection to keep, and growing and audience are difficult and require decision making. Many low skill jobs are simply a grind, while the act of streaming is simple and require almost no effort, if you do not keep an audience your fired. Unless you can afford to work without pay.
Also Hi, I'm Wolf. LOL. 11 minutes 55 seconds in. That made me laugh so hard. Good video though. Streaming seems easy to people who know what they are doing. I am not one of those people.
As a fan of Hasanabi, I can confirm he was being very sarcastic when he said that which he has clarified several times since. 😅 But if we're talking about when he compared his previous job in sales to streaming for nine hours straight, he did say he personally found the streaming to be more soul draining. However, I do very much appreciate the nuanced approach you took to this issue. It's really refreshing and humanizing to see someone who's not blindly picking a side and defending it to the death. 😄
He wasn’t being sarcastic, thats the funny part. He doubled down after and then after all the backlash said it was sarcasm. He is one of the biggest hypocrites in the streaming space.
Id like to have a job being creative or entertaining I made TH-cam videos for a few years consistently as a hobby on another channel hoping it would go somewhere and didn't have much success and I don't really have the time to keep trying anymore as much as I'd like to growing an audience is hard it's a hard job to get and to keep considering how many people screw it up and get into trouble get canceled fall into obscurity ECT. but it don't beat you down like manual labor.
That’s not what Hassan was actually saying though. I think the point he was making was actually fairly valid. He just said that streaming and entertaining a chat is more socially draining than a typical 9-5
Socially draining? Give me a break. Try working in the food industry and dealing with the meanest most obnoxious ppl on the daily. That’s socially draining. You don’t have to look at social media or what chat is saying. Can’t avoid a customer.
yeah maybe being a streamer who talks about politics all the time CAN be draining, but that's his choice to stream about that. besides that, he has amenities others can only dream of from his "hard" career choice, and somehow he still has the balls to complain about the difficulty of it.
I hear leaving a comment on videos you watch help them do better on youtube, not that I'm asking you to do that but what you do knowing that is entirely up to you.
