My go-to song when I was depressed. Genuinely thought no one cared about me and that I was better off dead and to no longer exist in this world. In the end, I'm glad I held it out there and found the will to get the right help because now I have found a purpose for myself in life. Always remember that there is someone out there that cares about you.
Smile used to be the perfect picture of victory, happiness, joy, achievement and all those good things. But since I know people can fake their smiles, I don't really trust them when they smile... I'm so used to fake ones that when I see someone smiling, I search what pain it tries to hide, and if I don't find, instead of admitting this is a true smile, I search even deeper what it could hide.

And these guys had a lot of music I could and sometimes still can relate to. And amy lees voice is so beautiful. There isnt anyone ive heard that I enjoyed more then hers.
You can feel pretty lonely even in a big crowd of lonely people if you can't feel connected. You need like-minded people (and a proper mindset) But if anyone will do, I'm sure there are tons of meet ups already being organized in your local area. (try meetup.com for example)

Same here. My mom died 7 years ago. I am a strong confident person now and have come a long way from who I used to be. I realized after she died that she bipolar and there was nothing I could have done to be good enough.

+Megan Pons I never wanted to be a loner coming from a large family but other than my spouse I am alone. Tried to fit in but I never could as much as I tried. Gave up on my family. Learned to trust a few who like me the way I am. Learned to love myself and my own company. My spouse is now as independent as I have become and we are okay. We are seniors and leaving the past behind tightly closed doors is best for us. Megan, you will find inside yourself to survive and create your own happiness. It is no fun to feel apart but it is manageable and in the end find/create your happy dance to just feel alive.
Most aren't saying how this music saves them, most is just them wanting to die. Very few say that it saves them. I find that sad, there's so much to live for.

Some of us are reaching out because no one near us actually listens. Evanescence has done a wonderful job of making songs that people can relate to. This reminds me of the place I was in when I was married. The depression I was in. Reminds me how my ex husband used to make me feel like I could not get out of it without him. After leaving and asking for divorce things got so much better. A few years after I look back and see how much I grew. I feel like nothing can break me again. Once I got back to my feet alone I can keep on going.

This song expresses how I'm feeling now. I am surrounded by people, but I may as well be on my own in the Delta Quadrant. Instead of moping around feeling sorry for myself, I'm working at my life and rebuilding it from scratch. This song will always remind me of where I started, so I'll be able to look back to this moment and see how far I came.

My mom she hates me and even though she sees me get abused mentally and physically she doesn't do anything. My dad he left me a year ago leaving me with those hating me for liking him my family. Indeed, i have gone over my depression 15 years ago, i learned a very important lesson. Just do whatever you like to do, hobby or sport DO something!!.. In many stages of depression you learn to deal with situations a lot easier, but that also depends on the persons mindset.. If people relate themselves to this song, then it's their period they're in right now, I consider this song just a pretty song though lol :P.

I had a friend with a family of children. She and I had a fall out years ago and I lost them. This is the song I sing about her and the family I lost. Depression is just a psychologically forced *_austerity_*. We cant all be soaring all the time. for every smooth sailing person there is another person(s) doing the unpleasant work. Sometimes a person can even do their own chores. That's not a disorder (bipolar). Its just normal. Dishes/clothes get dirty and need washed. Someone's gotta do it whether they like it or not, depressing as the work might be. But remember this is capitalism. Dont work for others unless they work for you. Then again, "thank you"s can be used as currency too if you let them.

For so long I've been feeling this way,but I kept telling myself it was just my depression speaking. Four days ago i turned off my phone. Today I turned it on and find out that in four days none of my "closest" friends had texted me once. Zero messages. Zero everything. And now I really know that it's not just my depression. Favorite Evanescence song. Its nice to come back to these types of songs I used to listen to years ago when I was in a bad place and see how far I've come. I'm not entirely better and probably never will be but I now listen to artists like Linkin Park and Evanescence because I enjoy their music and not just because I was feeling sad and alone like in the past.

This reminds me of the place I was in when I was married. The depression I was in. Reminds me how my ex husband used to make me feel like I could not get out of it without him. After leaving and asking for divorce things got so much better. A few years after I look back and see how much I grew. I feel like nothing can break me again. Once I got back to my feet alone I can keep on going.

My mom she hates me and even though she sees me get abused mentally and physically she doesn't do anything. My dad he left me a year ago leaving me with those hating me for liking him my family. This song reminds me how lonely I am. But this song is why I am still alive. Because if there's something as beautiful as this song then it's worth enduring all of this pain it's wort crying like a baby left in the dark with no one who cares for it. Because I know there's something beautiful for me out there. My life may suck but that is what helps me make others a little bit brighter.

I had a friend with a family of children. She and I had a fall out years ago and I lost them. This is the song I sing about her and the family I lost. I wonder if, not my friend but others, if they miss me and still love me. I doubt it but I still wonder and will keep asking no matter what. I looked after my friends children years ago when they were babies and I still have memories that haught me. Please bear with me and pray that I'll move on from it all.

Depression is just a psychologically forced *_austerity_*. We cant all be soaring all the time. for every smooth sailing person there is another person(s) doing the unpleasant work. Sometimes a person can even do their own chores. That's not a disorder (bipolar). Its just normal. Dishes/clothes get dirty and need washed. Someone's gotta do it whether they like it or not, depressing as the work might be. But remember this is capitalism. Dont work for others unless they work for you. Then again, "thank you"s can be used as currency too if you let them.

Favorite Evanescence song. Its nice to come back to these types of songs I used to listen to years ago when I was in a bad place and see how far I've come. I'm not entirely better and probably never will be but I now listen to artists like Linkin Park and Evanescence because I enjoy their music and not just because I was feeling sad and alone like in the past.

It's ironic how close you are with someone for 5 years long. Then one day he suddenly decides your not on the first place anymore.. Seems the dreams and hopes I had, are nothing but a wish.. And wishes hardly come true.. God I miss you :(
