Why are the Union Pacific's number boards blank? Are they still lighted on these UPs? I saw this also on the Rapido E8s. Is there a reason for this? Thank you for your help. 🙂
Similar to other roads at the time, UP put train numbers in the front number boards on many locomotives instead of the unit number and as such it could change on a daily basis. This practice ended in the mid-60's.
@@rapidotrains, Indeed, and I would personally like to see a video with the Alco PA/PB & FA/FB units side by side. Hopefully, I could one day start modeling. I really would like to have some of those cool Alco Engines.
Oh dear, but I wanted an SP Daylight PA-1 with snowplow...I model Western Division where the Sacramento shops had applied snow plows to Western Division PA-1's by 1951.
the hobby needs more representation for the GM&O, I legit gasped when I realized when I saw it in the thumbnail
The 5 GM&O modelers agree with this statement
I may not model the 70s but the those Erie Lackawanna units are tempting!
Awesome! Hope they show up in N!

Have you guys considered doing more electrics? For example the PRR E44, New Haven EF-3a/b, Milwaukee Road Little Joe, etc.?
Waiting for the 3rd run where I hope they will be NYC with angled number boards and NDEM / FNM units...
How long until the CN H6 Ten-Wheelers finally come out of pre-order?
The conditional order deadline is June 17th. If the orders strengthen, we'll continue development.
Hey...what's that undecorated caboose thing sitting there?
That's the 3D printed sample of our SP C-40-3 caboose.
Epic 😎

Because it's a 3D render, not an actual model.

Thank you for letting me know.
cant wait for my MKT and MOPAC.
Stupid Question Box:
What is that sign-off at the end of the videos, Klingon or German?
That's Michael Gross calling us lunatics.
Hi Rápido Trains, will you tool a San Diego Trolley set?
The PA/PB’s and FA/FB’s of Alco truly were great locomotives, despite being over shadowed by EMD’s E & F units.
They were!

Possible for a future run.
