Test pulled MOV and FET to see if they match specifications or if they have been damaged by spikes. Find out what that FET is with manufacturer number on it. Essential for parts from China on ebay because of the abundance of fakes. I've had FET with gate capacitance four times what it should be and on resistance five times higher. Link to pictures of inside and further details in header. Recharges with USB.
the device arrived very quickly, has 2 functions, the capacitor discharger works, the high voltage device for radio components seems to work, but a problem arises when measuring polar capacitors, with a capacitor voltage of 70-100 volts and microfarads greater than 1000 microfarads, it starts to act up and gets stuck at a couple of volts and that’s it. I tried a bunch of capacitors but the problem is the same, small capacitors the device still shows voltage and simple capacitors also produce voltage. The problem of polar capacitors is not solved in it. An error in the microcircuit or a defect.
I would never measure capacitors with this unless they were rated in excess of 4500V. Puncture of the film will damage damage the capacitor. With electrolytics it is just measuring leakage current at best. Not a good practice.

Can this device measure a chopper transformer?
Up to 2700V. That really isn't much electrical insulation.
