Carbon Based Lifeforms completely changed my life. Ever since the first time I heard Interloper, it was a very long and deep rabbit hole for me. It consumed my world of sound - and totally overhauled my tastes. I partook in different activities, I surrounded myself with different individuals. I became a different person. I have no idea where I would be had I never hit play that day.

I have stated this on many other videos but good to repeat here.
Many will often say this music sucks. This type of comment is usually made by someone who is still mentally immature.
Not all music needs to jam and rock. After experiencing a long hard life you tend to want to chill out and relax the best way possible.
No need to take drugs even though some who do would also listen to this but this music is pure escapism.
Forget your name,title,rank,job duty, Let this guide you to dream or totally chill out. Even better with headphone.
Totally relaxing is healing and is self love.

What comes to mind when I listen to CBL is planet earth, I keep imagining how beautiful this planet is, the mystery of unknown places. I am a future geographer, there is nothing more rewarding than studying everything on Earth.

At first glance, this is ordinary electronic music, but there is something in it that makes it special
they capture a specific feeling of eri , alot of spacy sounds, and repetitive harmonic scaling that get forgoten.
after many earing you can still discover new melody that our ears havnt focused on.
At NO glance whatsoever do they sound as ordinary electronic music.

Помню, как гулял с собакой по безлюдным просторам вдалеке от города. Исходили с ней километры по лесам и полям. В наушниках играли Карбоны. Было какое-то странное ощущение спокойствия и правильности происходящего. Я осознавал свою ничтожность на фоне происходящих во Вселенной процессов, но мне не было от этого страшно. Наоборот, как-то спокойно и комфортно. Наверное, смысл жизни в том, чтобы смириться с собственной ничтожностью. Сейчас я есть, а потом меня не будет, и глобально от этого ничего не изменится...
вот у меня похожее от DreamState logic, похожие ребята, но более эмбиент...
на фоне музыки масштаб всего что делаешь кажется мелочью, ничего не значащей для вселенной... и наоборот, хочется сделать что то лучше, чем до музыки

This is not Post Rock.
The first Post Rock album was made in 1988 by Talk Talk, CD: Spirit of Eden. Then in 92' they made Laugthing Stock. Very underrated albums and the real Post Rock!!!

Been listening to CBR since 2019, here is what I found. This type of music is hypnotic AF. Every time you listen to CBR you'll be in a different zone. Hands down the best ambient, space music artist.
PS: Try FLAC format in high-end headphones.

I first heard one of CBL's songs in a utube video about a year ago and I decided to check them out. I think I listened to derelicts and loved it. I guess I was a little late to the party but better late than never huh. I think that there from Sweden or something like that and their awesome 👍🏻

People who enjoy this may be interested in music by artists like Ott, Phutureprimitive, Abakus, Shpongle, Enthenogenic. etc. CBL really create such a canvas for the mind's eye to travel to. My all time favorite by them is, Supersede which you can hear @35:31 . The version here is one of the older ones (there are at least 2 I have heard). When you search for this on youtube, you'll see the remastered version which has a somewhat different feel altogether. But with either version, the second it starts I feel as if I've traveled though time and space into the Akasha. I spoke to one of the members and asked him if they wrote their songs using certain frequencies that correspond to things like chakra tuning, sound healing, Solfeggio Frequencies, pineal etc... He laughed and said they didn't think about those things. So it must be synchronicity that made the song come together.
yawn... discovered in 2000 what... i can link you to stuff from early 90's just as better and powerfully design to expand inner realization... one is not ready for pineal if one is running to ideas given
