Have you noticed that Jesus didn't say "Feed my sheep" three times? He first said "Feed my lambs." Whether that's little people or new followers - I don't know. Next, "Take care of my sheep." Perhaps "shepherd" fits, guide train, protect, I don't know. Lastly, "Feed my sheep." Did Jesus ask him the same question three times to match each of the three times Simon Peter denied Christ? Or did he ask Simon Peter three separate and escalating questions for three different commitments? Remember, Peter was selected to build the Church on Earth.
