A few days ago I saw a button on TH-cam to ask a chatbot questions about the video. It didn't work and seems to have been quickly removed. But I assume it's a new feature being tested and slowly rolled out.
I've also seen a ton of text and image posts appearing in my feed, instead of videos.

Listening to so many tangents and discussions is a classic. If we think of the games as the main story, the ramblings were a great filler episode.
Reading should be more encouraged; otherwise, people will end up like TH-cam, which, instead of reading user complaints and fixing their streaming section, decides to add games that look like ads.

Thanks for the stream Pips, I think it's safe to say yt games aren't even on flash game level yet; probably never will since they feel like they’re supposed to be phone games. For all the reading stuff, as one of those kids that hated reading I just couldn’t picture what I was reading and it was always the most boring book. They need to at least get fun books in there man, and don't make it such a chore. Nowadays all I read are technical documents which are a lot more fun to me. Thanks for the stream. Unironically, the main thing I read for fun is Wikipedia, even though it can be very biased at times. School is the worst place to learn anything past a foundational level, and I don't even know if school does foundational level well. I definitely learnt to hate reading from school. Ok, on the book thing. I only read non-fiction books. You're like 95% correct. I dont read that much and reading is not a smart oerson hobby. People come to me to fix shit because I am smart and usually figure things out lol.

She is not correct on the historical take though. The amount of crap being dumped out now to fill shelves is far beyond what it was in the past. People who were literate and had the time and ability to write books were better educated and the standards for writing in the past was higher. A good example for me is poetry. Can you point to people currently who make great poetry like the amazing works of poetry in the past? Beowulf, Chaucer, Song of Roland, The Divine Comedy, etc. The likes of Tolkien, Shakespeare, and Dostoyevsky are not around today. Even children’s books from 40 or more years ago are much much higher quality than modern children’s books. I think one of the biggest contributing factors is the far greater amount of distraction and far shorter attention spans that people have since the advent of social media and the smart phone. She’s not completely wrong about survivor bias, but modern literature is really not the same as it was in the past. I think there are a few really great minds in the film industry, perhaps in the past they would have been great authors.

Filler in anime is nice until it gets out of hand. Bleach's filler got WAY out of hand to the point that story arcs were being interrupted by filler arcs that made 0 sense. It broke any and all feelings of immersion
