Last year I finally got around to exploring the capital wasteland in Fallout 3 which I had neglected in favor of 4 and New Vegas. This side quest I found pretty charming with how new slaves look to Lincoln as a symbol of hope and also being greatly disturbed with how the slavers offer to pay you caps in return for giving them anything relating to Lincoln so they can be destroyed
One of your videos came up on my recommendations, really enjoyed it. I've spent most of today going through your back catalogue and got this far. You made me wish I still had my PS3 to play fallout 3 again! And got a new subscriber! Great work!
Still binging all your content since finding you a week ago - quality videos, please don't stop making them hahaha I need to get F3 working on my PC so I can relive my childhood
I had to reload a save one time because I jumped out the window, not realizing it would actually let me do it, and I couldn’t get back inside. Glad I’m not the only person who’s done that now 😂
I really dislike Lincoln, I also really dislike this faction. In short they basically try and make you a slave- if you value your word, and demands you join their faction... then instead of finding a actual safe place they make it a symbolic place to live. Bad leadership, betrayal of premise, laughable idea and actions since the civil war was a war of independence of the state and the Supreme Court of the union and constitution allowed the states to leave when they wished. The civil war was more of a war for the Tariff tax which basically nuked the south’s economy and Lincoln more than doubled the taxation- which the south was already complaining about before. Lincoln also implemented income tax, media censorship and jailing of anti war journalists, executed the largest number of citizens in the union to state- never abolished slavery... only limited it to the state which now pays its legal slaves 14 cents a hour... so they can say it’s not slavery (yes, the state can enforce slavery in being in prison labor) Also maybe look into the slaves on the border of the north and around there. This being said it’s in the light of having more accurate view of history than what the Union has in fallout 3. Also I HATE that fallout ignored Russia and America teaming up against China and just made it ‘McCarthyism’ myth bullshit. I would pay to see Uncle Sam and Uncle Joe (What FDR called Joe Stalin) on a war poster, needless to say China would’ve hated that. Also everyone seems to forget Keynes was the guy FDR had as a economic adviser, and praised fascism as a wonder of urban planning.

This game will always resonate with me. It’s one of those things in your life that build an immediate connection forever.
If only Bethesda cared as much about the world and the games, as the fans seem to...
I completed FO3 & Broken Steele, consulted the online guides and your video was the first time I learned about most of what you discussed here

The slaves also pay caps for Abraham artifacts, as well as the guy in Rivet City who runs the museum thing.
So many people don't comment on these awesome videos
I know 🙁 receiving comments is the best part about making a video!
@@Synonymous101 thats one way of looking at it :D
I could watch these videos all day, not too short but to the point. And I get to learn more about one of my favorite games
