Joe is such a wonderful and down to earth guy. I never even think of jealousy. I’m thrilled he has been able to build up this property. It is beautiful!
Love watching your older videos with little Johnny, since I purchased my little Johnny last week i absolutely love this tractor especially coming from another brand tractor, and your correct when your on Facebook or tractor forums and ask a question you have a few that never has nothing good to say.
Caught the like as soon as you said "the sermon last weekend was on jealousy...". Amen! Beautiful landscaping and great little tractor. Very satisfying to watch and see. Thanks y'all!
Boy that was FUN!!! Joe has done a wonderful job on his beautiful property!!! Change the title! You never want to lose a customer like him!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!
Awesome place! Nice work! Mine is being delivered tomorrow 7-21-18 @10:00AM. Then my JD rep goes over all the bells and whistles with me! I'm counting down the hours! Hope everyone is doing well!
Congratulations!!! I would not have sufficient attention span to listen to the salesman attempt to tell me how to use the tractor! I’d be in too much of a hurry to get started.
Thanks!!! Yep it arrived at 10, I was in the operator seat at 1010! Spent a lot of time operating the backhoe today! Dug up 12 snake eggs!LOL! Wife says I have to do better than that!
I have taken to watching your videos and i must say i have learned SOOOOOOOOO much! It is awsome that people with your ethics and values pass those on to others.
Tim I know exactly what you mean about johnny's rops we have hit a many of tree with ours forgetting it was up it happens a lot. LOL Christy you did a great job in this video Where is Christy when we need her to help with the last load of dirt or rock. One thing we do when we have a load of dirt or rock delivered we use either large tarps or sheets of plywood to have the load dumped on so the final cleanup is easier and we dont get stuff al doen in the turf in the ground. Joe does have a lovely home and property reminds of several of our customers places we take care of the rock and stone he has done is really nice. Great job guys as always. Have a great weekend. God Bless!!!
Thank you for taking the time to explain getting stuck and loaders. I have this issue on job sites with guys thinking the loader is a save all. His place is very nice and the ditches you dug out with Johnny look good. Take care.
well, i mean you can do a lot with a loader, id rather have guys calling me back as regulars. it helps build up your client base. honestly the customers that i dont like workin for are the ones that try n rip you off or are too controlly. other than that everyone is welcome, more the jobs the better.
That video title was an eye catcher, but I'm glad to see there was no dissatisfied, problem customer, rather a beautiful home with an ongoing work that helps it look even better. Joe seems like a great customer too.
Yup, done that. I can honestly say, I would have been dead by now without my tractor. I started out with a wheel barrow. Love that stuff, dump it, move a few around by hand, almost builds a half decent wall all by itself. Great work.
@@TractorTimewithTim I've been watching all night almost and into the morning and still can't get enough should have slept but unfortunately I sometimes can't sleep anyway so instead of stewing on hardships I've been getting uplifted by the stories
It’s not hard to bang the rops or the lights/lenses on the rops. Knock on wood I’ve only cracked a light lens, but damage can happen in an instant! Btw, Joe sure has a pretty piece of land.
Joe I love your place, it is a credit to you. And I do think that instead of a larger tractor may be get a John Deere Gator for Christy to supervise / film and direct yours and Johnny's work from Tim!
Completely agree with you Tim on the "can't get stuck with a loader on" comments. I had my 2320 with the loader and the backhoe so stuck while crossing a pond drain before, that it took my F250 sitting on the opposite bank and two lengths of chain to get it out. That was only after myself and the homeowner had dug around all 4 tires, threw stumps and blocks of whatever we could find under the bucket and outriggers, so that it would have something solid enough under them to even attempt to lift it up, then throw more rocks under the tires. The job I was doing only took about 2 hours. Getting the tractor out took another 2 hours. Great video as always and really enjoy seeing the progression on his yard!
Jealousy is a funny thing, like the home owner I am afford the “things” but I too am jealous of the things I see you get to do. It’s all perspective. Love my tractor
God has blessed me with many things, including a wonderful wife. I'm about your age, the back hurts and that section where you spoke about doing things by hand and medical intervention really hit home. I rented a mini skid steer and the work I'm doing this week would be impossible without it. However, Christy's comment about envy also hit home because some of that was creeping in these past few days. Funny how iron sharpens iron, even though I only know you guys through your videos. I thank Christy for that comment, and I also thank you guys for the verses you sometimes put in your videos. You never know how those may touch or help someone. I'm new around here, but I've seen enough to know that you are a really nice family. I'm currently working on the finance committee and did visit a few dealers last week:-)
VeeDubJohn We ALL "Grow" a little more each day ..... Sometimes things hit you like a brick .... And suddenly you are just that little bit "wiser" for the experience ...... :) Now ... Let's get Tim into a Beetle .... A REAL one ... And NOT one of these namby pamby modern ones! >8^)
Sadly, I don't have my beetle anymore. You know, they made them just like the 60's, all the way up till 2004 in Mexico. I got one of those 2004's, it was like a brand new 1960's car. I was the first owner, however there were "issues" with having a Mexican car in the United States. Ultimately conviction won out and I did the legal thing, which was to get rid of it. My dad passed away and left me a 1966 Corvette, so I get my old car fix from that. Taking care of an old Corvette can be a lot of work though. I live in the north east, which means salt on roads which means that this poor car, having been exposed to salt back in the day now has a cracked frame. That's gonna be a process to fix! Regarding tractors, since my back isn't what it used to be and I'm still in the middle of restoring my Victorian house from 1895 with a lot of work to do on the property, I have decided to get a small tractor, once I figure out how to pay for it. It won't be a Johnny, but an LS. Do you remember when Tim went to visit that nice man with cancer? There was a blue tractor in that episode, and that's what alerted me to the LS brand. I like the color, but more importantly it is about 8K cheaper than a Deere and has more lift capacity, same engine and gets good reviews online. It's really fun watching Tim and his family get things done with the small tractor. I wish him well with his new bigger one, but I wonder if part of the appeal of his channel is that his tractor is small and he is getting things done with something that many of us non farmer types can picture ourselves doing with the same tractor. That said, it may not matter since a bigger part of the appeal is just that they are a nice family. You can tell a lot about people by how nice their kids are! Thanks for the comments, and God bless you today!
VeeDubJohn Mate .... You summed it up .... Tim and his family are good people ..... And also .... I wish YOU well in your endeavours .... I hope YOU get a channel and do the same as Tim has .... For you are a good man also ..... All from the heart .... And many mental tears are being shed for you .... :) Best wishes ... :) JIm
I was working for a farmer that has about 2000 acres of corn and soybeans and i was picking up rocks with his son and putting them on a 20X8 feet steel platform wagon.Aneighbor came to ask us what we are going to do with these rocks. We said ''oh it s going in the corner of the field on a pile!''He said''i ll help you pick up and you bring them to my home so i will do a retaining wall with them'' ''No problem ''we said.So we brought him 3 wagons full of rocks and i went back one week later and the wall was finished and it was gourgeous!
Hey Tim and Christy !! Beautiful area you all worked in on this video !! I appreciate you all allowing us to tag along !!! You all work for some of the nicest folks !! I am a little concerned about placing the rip rap in the drain way ! Looks good for a while until grass and weeds grow up in it. Also will make it a little tougher to clean the spill way out later on. Just my humble opinion !! Not meaning to be cruel and pray it is taken that way !!!!! Please be safe and may God continue to bless you all !!!!! Eddy
I got my 1026 stuck with the loader on and it was of little help. I ended up having to use a handyman jack to lift the back end high enough to slide some old sheets of plywood under the rear wheel and used the loader as a sled and slide out of the mud I was in
Let me tell you about hitting things with stuff you don't think about. My uncle and I were going to meet my mom in Los Banos CA and we always met part way at this hotel and cafe place. Well we pulled into the hotel entrance and sheared off my bike and bike rack that was on top of his Jeep. For whatever reason, you just forget about stuff. So the saying out of sight out of mind really does apply in these situations. The bike had a bent front wheel and the bike rack was destroyed.
As you continue to get more popular on TH-cam you will find more and more negative comments unfortunately.... stay true to yourselves and know that a majority of your followers truly enjoy watching! Keep up the good work! And keep those videos coming!
Very good video, If you do convince Joe to purchase a compact tractor or a subcompact I'm sure you will suggest he get one with a front end loader and a backhoe. He at least needs one with a loader. I recently bought a 2015 Yanmar with both for my 10 acres and still have my old compact with just a loader which I will put up for sale sometime but it really helped to have it over the years and now I don't think I could get along without a tractor with a backhoe. Oh yeah, thanks to your videos I bought the Yanmar which is considered a subcompact but doesn't look the part.
My 1025r had 5 hours on it when I bought it because the first own caught the rops on a tree and the tractor popped a wheelie. It freaked her out so much that she traded it for a 700 series.
The Heavy Hitch Tooth Bar I was sold 50% on how much it improved digging by watching how you could dive that bucket into those chunk rocks now I am sold 100%. A regular non modified bucket that jsut would not happen that easily.
I was mowing with my 1023e with the rop up I went under a tree and it knocked a lim off it lit on my head and put a three inch gash on my head so I don't mow with my rop up any more
That was a hard job for you all and the tractor really works well and is still performing like it did when new. I know you didn't like that job and would hate to do it on a regular basis with that tractor.
Tim and team you touch on a topic I have been thinking might make a good video. Stability. I have the same size red brand tractor and sometimes the pucker factor gets me. I’ve been thinking of purchasing a set of hubs for the rear and maybe front wheels that will move them outbound 3 inches per wheel. So I would gain 6 inches of width in the wheels. Do you think that would help much with the pucker factor on slopes? They cost around $200 per axle. Thoughts? Thanks and I’m already looking for the next video!
Eric Van Nostrand when you said hubs, it made me think about the bolt on winch device for off-roading. It’s a drum that bolts to the rim. With cable or strap you can then use the wheels action like a winch. While it might not be as good as a winch and can produce other issues, it could be a life ( tractor ) saver.
Great video, that is a great property! Do you have any videos about leveling a slope as in making a road or path for a vehicle parallel with with a hillside? I plan on doing this soon to three places on my property, but come short finding any success stories/videos. I would use a rear blade, pull the soil away in slow passes, then use medium sized rocks to prevent erosion problems. Let me know if you can. Thanks!
We worked on this type of road once. We did not build it, but we were attempting to repair erosion damage. I’m not sure that we ever published the video. I think the key is to have a good ‘ditch’ alongside the road to keep water from running over the roadway.
Thanks. That is one of the purposes of the videos. I think you get a good view of the limits of this tractor. For some that shows that it is more than adequate. For others, it shows that they need a bigger tractor. If you can clearly see that the 1-series is too small, yet you like the small frame size, then I would encourage you to jump to the 3R series.
OK... maybe YOU can get stuck with a loader! lol! Just kidding! I've been stuck with loaders before. It may be harder, but It's not impossible! That looked like a pretty good job for lil Johnny! Really nice property you were working on there! Thanks for the video!
Tim I think Joe likes you and would just as soon hire you for jobs as to run a tractor himself. Seems he has a lot of money considering the projects with the rip rap. I don't think Joe will be buying a tractor ever. Personally I never thought I would have a tractor. I now have one and enjoy it immensely. I know you know the feeling. The only thing different is I have a Kubota 2501. Nice video.
As I watch more and more of Tim's videos I see that there is very little wheel spin from the back wheels everytime he picks up a load with the bucket even when he gives it a few revs. The tyres seem to be the same. When I pick up a load, my wheels want to spin like crazy even when I feather the bucket so it doesn't dig in. Are you running lower air pressure in the rear tyres Tim? I'm not able to get a tooth bar in Australia unless it's welded to the bucket so that is one difference. I have this issue even when picking up bulk mulch delivered by truck. Maybe it's just my grass?
Lol I've got a little organic ballast myself! But thanks for the tip re water. I do think they already have some water in them because they spluttered when i checked air pressure. I forgot to drive along to rotate the valves to top. So the difference must be the extra weights.
Water ways always change with Mother Nature, the mud there is probably new sediment from the water movement. With all the money for the rock, I’m surprised he didn’t lay down weed block fabric first. Something we will need to do on our property in the next year. Ha Ha Ha on the Cheese Burger comment.
Once again, nice video. But with your videos, I always have questions. Can you fit Johnny and Casey on your trailer at the same time with a little creative parking? Or will it overload the trailer?
This has definitely been a pleasing video and I will take you up on your offer. Christi, I need you next week so we can move some rip-rap rock. Hello Christi.....Christi....are you still there? Great video Tim and Christi. Thumbs up.
John C. Pepper I turn 68 on the 7th ..... Ya GOTTA be tough to be old! >8^) And .... "Old age and treachery will ALWAYS overcome youth and skill ... " ROFL!!!
Hi Tim. I’m really enjoying your videos. Did you make a video of the stream rehab? I can’t find it with keyword searches. If so can you post a link? I have a seasonal creek I’d love to get looking as good as your customers
Im curious where this is at. Im in ND and looking to sell 4800 acres and moving somewhere just a smidge warmer but still have some snow and hunt pheasants. let me know TTWT
Yep, anything can get stuck....friend of mine who was a seabee and could run a CAT loader to amaze you got stuck....another friend got his dozer stuck.....I have been stuck with tractor which had a loader and had to be pulled out...things happen and it only takes a split second....moral to those who make such comments is Never say Never.
shoot I got stuck with the loader and backhoe on. I did finally get out but till after really working at it and it made a real mess where I was stuck. those comments typically come from people who don't truly know.
I'm doing ok my friend. had a few hick ups with health issues but I'm still here. hoping to get a few videos done this summer. always enjoy watching you all doing what you do. stay blessed and continue being a blessing to others my friend.
This is crushed limestone. They grade it by size. I think this is the 6-12” size. We call it “rip-rap”. It is often used for stream banks to stop erosion. Check out our videos of Shirley’s creek bank from a year or two ago for another use of this material.
How long would it take to remove the tooth bar on bucket ? This job dident need it, but most do. Just wondering if it comes off easy. I have larger jd with out teeth but removable cutting edge
Tractor Time with Tim You chose the teeth over the edge protectors. Was that to get closer to the soil? By the way, nice skill with the teeth. You have got me hooked on the teeth. Already got the edge protectors. Heavy hitch is on the wish list. What’s the cheapest source for the suitcase weights?
Lots of q’s. Honestly didn’t think about the edge tamers. Didn’t know I would be picking up rocks off grass when I left the house Cheapest place for weights is heavyhitch.com with TTWT code and their efficient shipping.
Why i like large tractors. The small are nice, but i wouldnt trade my Mahindra 4535 for anything. Its done just about everything we asked. As for moving a brick pallet, not so much. Then again, i only have clamp on forks, so what do you honestly want? Works great for logs or picking trash out of weird places. Do need a stronger bucket. between 3 different operators, 2 owners, and 250 hours its trashed. Bowed upwards from ground preassure and bent down in the middle. Didnt help brush got caught in the canapy smacking. Also grabbed the steering wheel and put me up agree. Ag tires dug 5inches in a few seconds and stalled. I put it into nuetral grabbed he tire and rolled it back as the PTO bound up with the thick grass.. Amazing how a 7500lbs tractor rolled 4ft so easily by hand. I only have 1 leg with strength to do it as my other clutch leg replaced bone with rods and moved muscles too weak to do anything if the sort.
I found a company called Bro-Tek wheel spacers in 2" and 3" for hilly grades. I'm going to install a set this year. Yes, you can get stuck. Ask me how I know Beautiful property he's got a good eye.
Wednesday was my first bit of gardening for 4wks as here in UK some parts had no rain for 7wks so most lawns looking dead and sandy also not been cut for 4wks looks like we got at least another 5wks of no grass cutting or Rain i used mini Johnny house owner 20yr old JOHN DEERE 455 with 400kg dump cart on back filled it up 10 times with Laurel tree branches next week we chipping it look up on here Prestige Lawn Care he showing video what UK Grass looking like

I recently bought a 2015 Yanmar with both for my 10 acres and still have my old compact with just a loader which I will put up for sale sometime but it really helped to have it over the years and now I don't think I could get along without a tractor with a backhoe. Oh yeah, thanks to your videos I bought the Yanmar which is considered a subcompact but doesn't look the part.
friend of mine bought a new kubota B 3350 compact tractor with a 6 year warranty and $4,500 off on it
Norman Blowers what size Yanmar did you get?
we have proveinst snowblower wich is the greatest $2100 snowblower from kubota dealer
A SA221 the smaller one in the SA series but it is four wheel drive and does okay.
Really sharp estate . worth every hour of work.
Nice place! Good job!
Thanks Fred. Yes, Joe’s place is beautiful. Even better after we get to know Joe, and see is down to earth attitude.
He like to visit you two and help out. Your customers know you are good people that why they alway call back
We really appreciate Joe.
Beautiful property
Yes, Joe has done a great job.
Yes, 6” would help dramatically, as would fluid and wheel weights.
Iv seen lots of golf course streams and that’s kinda what they do but they use natural colored rock and from very large boulders to rock that size
I think the key is to have a good ‘ditch’ alongside the road to keep water from running over the roadway.
i didn't think a 1 series would serve my needs but after seeing your videos i know that is not the case
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video!
I have fluid in the tires and the wheel weights. ...I’m also carrying lots of ‘organic ballast’ :-)
Lol I've got a little organic ballast myself!
But thanks for the tip re water. I do think they already have some water in them because they spluttered when i checked air pressure. I forgot to drive along to rotate the valves to top.
So the difference must be the extra weights.
Be sure to use rv antifreeze, windshield washer fluid, or RimGuard. Plain water will freeze.
Rear ballast. Nice one.
How did it survive the edit? :D
Joe has done a terrific amount of work and his yard loOks really nice!!!!
Tim, I got stuck like that and I am not good enough with the loader to push out. I lost what ever I gained by sliding back down.
Once again, nice video. But with your videos, I always have questions. Can you fit Johnny and Casey on your trailer at the same time with a little creative parking? Or will it overload the trailer?
I do not think I can fit both. I think I would have the weight capacity, but not the physical space.
puts my landscaping design to shame, great job!
I can relate!
on slope side loading bucket that where 4 in 1 bucket be handy to load it
Maybe someday.
Amen to Ephesians 4:29 we all could heed that. Great video you two!!!
This has definitely been a pleasing video and I will take you up on your offer. Christi, I need you next week so we can move some rip-rap rock. Hello Christi.....Christi....are you still there? Great video Tim and Christi. Thumbs up.
Hmm...I thought she would have replied by now!
Thanks Tim. We both better stop or we'll both be in trouble from Christi. Both of you have a fine Sunday.
Build her a carry all with a seat lol
Nice job and sweet yard
I have a plan on that...just no time yet.
Is that limestone? Very nice looking rock.
Yes. Limestone plentiful here.
If you need a new roll bar I have a brand new one 2018. Took mine off for cab. Also have you seen the new two series line up?
Not aware of the new 2 series lineup. Please fill me in...
I find it funny that you and Joe were joking around about age since I just turned 48 on Tuesday
John C. Pepper
I turn 68 on the 7th .....
Ya GOTTA be tough to be old! >8^)
And ....
"Old age and treachery will ALWAYS overcome youth and skill ... " ROFL!!!
Should have put a tarp under that load of rock. You'll be years getting that out of the grass.
Hi Tim. I’m really enjoying your videos. Did you make a video of the stream rehab? I can’t find it with keyword searches. If so can you post a link? I have a seasonal creek I’d love to get looking as good as your customers
Yea, we made several. Search for ‘Joe’.
Your Edge Tamers may have helped you skim more of those stones out of the grass without damaging the yard.
You are right.
we have hit 2 trees, my brother hi a big branch so hard we had to cut half the tree down it was so damaged.
Im curious where this is at. Im in ND and looking to sell 4800 acres and moving somewhere just a smidge warmer but still have some snow and hunt pheasants. let me know TTWT
Dont leave !!!!
Im in ohio . no pheasants .
We are in Indiana. Sorry I missed this.
"a lot of rear balance"
Oh boy, careful fella!
“Less cheeseburgers and less donuts” that crazy talk
I was probably over-worked, and delirious!
I've seen tracked vehicles get stuck so it's not uncommon. The challenge is to figure out how to get unstuck, which does take knowledge and skill.
shoot I got stuck with the loader and backhoe on. I did finally get out but till after really working at it and it made a real mess where I was stuck. those comments typically come from people who don't truly know.
Good to hear from you, Dave! How ya doin?
I'm doing ok my friend. had a few hick ups with health issues but I'm still here. hoping to get a few videos done this summer. always enjoy watching you all doing what you do. stay blessed and continue being a blessing to others my friend.
I have to say if my little plot of land looks half as good as his..... lawd have mercy.
My L2501 with Ag tries would demolish that beautiful grass.
So are you going to put tracks on your 3046 with the cab? When you go get it.
Hmm.
they are good size stones. what kind of stone is it??
This is crushed limestone. They grade it by size. I think this is the 6-12” size. We call it “rip-rap”. It is often used for stream banks to stop erosion.
Check out our videos of Shirley’s creek bank from a year or two ago for another use of this material.
How many hours on Johnny now?
How long would it take to remove the tooth bar on bucket ? This job dident need it, but most do. Just wondering if it comes off easy. I have larger jd with out teeth but removable cutting edge
Takes about a minute. I install/remove it quite frequently. Set screws on the top ‘clamp’ it to the bucket.
Didn’t know I would be picking up rocks off grass when I left the house
Cheapest place for weights is heavyhitch.com with TTWT code and their efficient shipping.
Tractor Time with Tim Thanks Tim
how many hours you got on Johnny now Tim?
370?? Not sure
Where abouts was this project? Currently living in Chicago, but making a move to the Indy area in the next 18-24 months.
Steven,
All of the properties in and around the Indy area look just like this one!
....
Well, ALMOST like this one :-)
Tractor Time with Tim rub it in rub it in.
Nice video tim
Thanks Benjamin!
Quite a story!
I found a company called Bro-Tek wheel spacers in 2" and 3" for hilly grades. I'm going to install a set this year. Yes, you can get stuck. Ask me how I know Beautiful property he's got a good eye.
Nice
Tim how you getting on choose Large Tractor figured out what make you going to get
No progress. Distracted for now. We will update as we have progress.

Remember Tim ..... When deciding on a plan of action take your time and act wisely! :)
Nice project!
Do you guys film with a Go Pro?
Yes.
I’m extremely confused on what I want to buy! 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Tim on his knees pitching rock ?
Can’t be. It must have been ‘special effects’ added by Christy during editing!
carry the load low but I wouldn't have called that a load. even I safety Sally can see that. 😁
Ha! Well, there are plenty of folks who get riled anytime we lift the bucket....even an empty bucket.
Oh well!
Thanks for your comment.
what a beautiful property they should do wedding there
about what is Joes property worth ? It looks good
Have you wondered how the Ventrac would have handled this?
Yes. We think the Ventrac would be a great fit for Joe.
Now if you can only get him to carry a camera around with him... Ventrac Time with Joe?
