Good ol' Don; I saw him on a re-run of 'Pop Goes The Country' and he was just BLAZED, the whole time. This is one of my favorites, particularly the second verse with the piano licks.
I enjoy listening to Don Williams, so thanks for doing another of his songs. Released in 1975 and written by Bob McGill it was the 2nd release from his album 'You're My Best Friend'. This was Don's third number 1 hit. It is a middle of the road song with a simple story line. I liked the song because it was the 'Gentle Giant'. His voice has a calming attribute about it . I couldn't connect to the song, as I never been there. Thanks for reacting to it. 8.7
the most soothing voice in country. almost got to see him in concert, he came to my town a couple years before he passed
Great singer and very enjoyable list to
This was the first Don Williams song I heard on the radio. Mid 70s and a time in my life that fit with this feeling.
