I am a paid bloxburg player and have been for a few years and I had no clue about the lightning strike trophy! In fact I didn’t even know this game had lightning strikes
Fun fact: the people who didn’t pay for bloxburg and joined a few mins after it went free got the exclusive stuff for free, that means they got the couch car, the title and the trophy without paying for bloxburg I tested it with two accounts, both of them got the exclusive rewards
honestly I’m not super upset bloxburg went free but I’m just worried about people getting unbanned like money glitches/hackers/exploiters and people begging for money. At least there’ll be more role players but at the same time some might be bland because (in my experience) people like livetopia and adopt me players may be more inexperienced in roleplays than say Brookhaven players which imo aren’t too much better, I just hope people won’t be too rude to new players like I saw someone doing earlier..

2017 player here. I think it's a double edged sword. Sure, it's nice to be able to play with *all* of your friends now, but servers are more congested than when the game was paid for. Also, you mentioned that you were an early bloxburg player. PLEASE tell me you remember the crazy colored houses that had really basic interiors, and how if you had the paper hat, salad crown (ifykyk) and the bloxington mansion, you owned the server and everybody flocked to your plot?

It was literally less than a dollar, don't hate on them because they were able to obtain access without paying the tiny amount of money that was required before. I used to not want Bloxburg to go free but I'm okay with it now. Yesterday I baked a new player a pie, which is something a random stranger did for me all the way back in 2017. We need to be more kind to our new neighbors, they're all humans too.
More like they equalized job earnings. Except instead of bringing everything up to the wages of Pizza Delivery, they had it all meet in the middle, bringing Delivery down.
also the nice thing is when they updated the bloxburg like gameplay page in the front its the house from awhile back that was being constructed but now its finished :) cute detail and also so sad😭

Bought the game in 2017, and lemme tell you something. A LOT has changed since then. And let's not forget the fact that if you had that Bloxington Mansion back in the day, you were THE guy on the block. That, and if you had that one paper hat and that one salad hat (I think it was some leaf crown or something), you owned the server. Hands down, no questions asked. Also I remember when there were only 3 floors available in build mode and basements didn't exist yet.

Newer player here, is there a way to remove items from your house without deleting or selling them? I payed for Bloxberg and got the trophy for it and when I upgrade my house I don't want to lose it but I'm not seeing any obvious way to put items in any sort of household inventory
I don't know if anyone has said yet, but the assets is like people's decals. On their paintings, so basically You want to have that on no one just in case cause you never know with the f2p players Cause someone may have an inappropriate decal.
Personally, Bloxburg being free isn't bad, there's more people. The thing that I could see being people's problems are annoying people, which I struggle with ignoring, but if you already have one, a neighborhood will be super helpful for that. I have access to my friend's neighborhood and it's so peaceful. It'd be nice to help them out, but I can understand why people don't like Bloxburg being free.
I honestly feel bad for people who never had robux and never got the chance to experience old bloxburg. They could have been playing roblox since 2006 and watched bloxburg videos all the time and knows everything about it but when they finally get to play it everything has changed and everyone thinks they’re completely new to bloxburg. I didn’t even know they changed the observatory until I decided to go to it yesterday. I sold my early access trophy and I regret it because one day it will probably be very rare as new players join :/

i am kind of mad at bloxburg because of all the progress it had with us beta's and it felt good to play with your friends. ik they envisioned more rp's but it ended up being barely any rp's and to many new people. it's kind of annoying, but it's so cute seeing the new players, and how roblox adds a tutorial and not just throws them in
I knew about the button color changing because of Club Roblox, still kinda prefer Club Roblox though because most of it's free and there's tons of really good roleplayers
i am kind of mad at bloxburg because of all the progress it had with us beta's and it felt good to play with your friends. ik they envisioned more rp's but it ended up being barely any rp's and to many new people. I have been playing for about 4-5 years and it feels like its no longer a place to go when feeling like you need a break.
The only thing that bothers me in bloxburg when someone ask for money too me it happens to me so much even today 😢😅

I miss the old suburban house it was my favorite pre-built house I bought it several times sense I first played and sadly deleted it before the catalog revamp
