If it hasn't been said yet, your FLT ring is from the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternal organization much like the Freemasons. If you have a local chapter, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that they would LOVE to have it as part of a display. FLT stands for Friendship, Love, and Truth.
@@roseamber7342 I have an Elgin pocket watch. My grandma gave it to me. Both of us can't wear watches on our wrist. They quit working with in a couple days. We both wore it on as a necklace.
I use those black tubs when mixing soil, on the plant table while repotting, holding soil when digging a hole to plant a tree or shrub. They are also good when you are soaking bareroot stock before planting and for giving potted up plant material a good soak in fertilized water. I love those things. I even use them to take junk out to the compost site and I don't want to mess up my van. You did well!
Hi Mike, relating to a scavenge a couple of weeks ago, the P.M. could be Passed Master as in the Masonic Lodge. The other pins and stuff could all be related to the masons, maybe !!! Cheers from Wales, U.K.
Mike your a real one. Trust me that as so much meaning. Much love and support brother God bless you, your family and all the endeavors you take on and all so your business and channel.
The orange stone gadgets are a clock/watch key and the flat one is a wax seal for letters. The stone is Carnelian. Very old and very cool. Worth keeping for sure. Nice find!
The PM badges are shoulder titles for military police. 2:56 is a keywind pocket watch key on a fob. Might be gold or could be just gold filled. I'd check over the jewellery and watches closely for hallmarks and gold marks. The watches will be marked on the inside of their cases. Got some good bits there! If I wasn't an entire country away from there, I'd go through the stuff for you and clue you in on whats valuable.
Get the pocket watches APPRAISED !!!! That first Elgin could be worth $1,300+ !!!! Some costume jewelry is worth something. Please have all jewelry appraised, bc some ppl just throw it out bc they dont want to take the time. Appraise by a jeweler then sell to a high end pawn shop. Cha-ching🎉 My husband and I love watching you.
Real nice finds Mike . It's always cool when you find jewelry and antiques. I recently found some Michael kors and it was a nice ring . Always a great day when you find cat wire too . Keep posting your videos and I'll always be watching. Love what you do to save filling up the landfill from stuff that can be recycled. Keep me posted on all your work. I also keep stuff out of the landfill by recycling it. Been doing it now for almost 3 years and I love doing it. Love watching you do your thing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love bins. I use bins to plant veggies. Why spray a whole garden and waste water? I use a black tote and fill it with dried leaves and grass and dirt and sand. I planted six red bell pepper plants in it. Each plant will give you a dozen peppers. Save your bell pepper seeds and every year the plants are free. I have patio pots and bins. My neighbors next door started using pots instead of digging up half their back yard. It's amazing. Every two days, go check the water and add some during the summer. Bell peppers are $1.25 here minimum throughout the year so having 50 or more free saves a lot of money. In a large blue bin like Mike has I plant three santa claus melon plants in them. WOW that is the best melon I have ever tasted. Watching Mikes videos brings the outside world in. It was cool to see him get that huge fan and find out it works. I've driven behind a few dumpsters locally and it's 99.99 % always trash. A few locals said stores tell them to stay out of their dumpters.
The Texaco anniversary pin is gold. Most likely 10k and yes the stone is a tiny diamond. Check the handles of the knives. Even with stainless blades the handles could be Sterling silver. They'll be marked if they are.
Nice haul on the cat wire Mike! Those Elgin, Waltham and Bulova watches are worth a look see given that they appear to have a good deal of age on 'em too. All in all not a bad day to say the least. I'm a disabled Vet without much to do and I really enjoy your channel. So much so that I've kinda put you into syndication and have been watching a lot of reruns. Thanks and all the best to you and yours.
Awesome score mike. The knife handle is the silver part but it is only sterling silver still worth it though thank you for sharing this with us six stars brother
Mercy is chillaxing by the fan... best spot in the Scavenger Den. That was a lot of wire. Congratulations! That dumpster was calling out to you, Mike. Those watch brands take me back fifty years, when I worked in the Sears Roebuck & Co Watch and Clock Buying Department in NYC.. Bulova, Elgin, Waltham, Howard! What might look old, might be collectible. Check with an auction house. Even if you can get a few dollars for the pocket watches. Howard might be sterling silver, and be the Howard Clock Company which was the top of the line in grandfather clocks. Elgin Clock Company made the cheaper brand of grandfather and grandmother clocks.
I own a Bulova, I love it, excellent time piece. You deserve the reward that those watches will bring you. Good luck finding the buyers for them shouldn’t be hard! Thanks for taking us along!
That has got to be close to a record haul on the Cat wire for sure. Really good score on the watches as well. Keep that Awesome content coming Brother!!!
Please Mike, take in the jewellery to be looked at! You have a bunch of treasure! The double red charmed thing is for one of the pocket watch chains, they wore the watch on one end of the chain, then the charm toggle on the other end of the chain. Usually warn on a vest. The Buliva watches are a good vintage make pronounce Bull i va The pocket watches are likely a gold fill or better. Old Gold filled is still valuable, not like today’s. The US compass could be Civil War! Best of luck on all the jewellery! Keep us posted!❤️
Elgin and Waltham watches are common, but valuable. The best one is the Howard. The back and front screws off. Holler if you need more info.
So are the wrist watches he mispronounced them.
The Bulova watches are good, he should check them all out.@@stubstoo6331

I thought that it was free masons too. Just by the eye.👍💚💛❤️
I noticed you had 33👍 just before I give you one. What a coincidence 🤣
compass
Scrap value of a Mercy... PRICELESS
Mike has leveled up... he's now the Prime Minister of Scrap...wear your pins proudly Mike!
If that's a genuine 1930's Elgin Watch you need to go get that appraised. You looking at a $500-$2000 watch there
And they are very collectible. It will have a serial number inside the watch you can look it up. It will tell you what year it’s from.
Whoot!!!❤😊
He said the first one was French, Longines maybe? He should really do some research on them.
Bulova watches are $$$, I suggest you take the rings and watches to a Jeweler!
@@michaelweems679 This is a very good brand as well.
The dangly bit you found in the box is actually a key to wind up some pocket watches.
The compass looks like a WWII issue compass.
Bulova watches are a pretty good find.
They can b. Have one that is rolled gold plated. Worth very little
I was thinking that. But I don't trust my memory enough to claim that as fact.
Thank you for clearing that up. 😄
@@dawndixon402they are have a automatic from the 70s worth about six hundred.
They had Bulova and Elgin when I was young, I’m 81. They were a decent brand.

The watches are from well known makers. Definitely not trash.
Big hugs to beautiful Mercy
Wow thats a lot of wire. Certainly proves you were right in picking it all out.👍👍👍
The Time Pieces are Sweet ! Wow - all that Cat Wire - LOTS OF MONEY ! Brilliant Follow-Up ! Many Cheers from Australia !
Look at the knives carefully. Sterling handled knives still used stainless blades. Look for markings on the handles.

Awesome follow up video that's a lot of cat wire thanks for sharing Mike
The thing you were not sure of looks like a seal for when they would seal letters in wax and on the same ring it looks like a watch winder.
Love the little pooch was so cute in the tub love the uk 🇬🇧 ❤❤
Awesome fallow up!! Thanks for sharing with us.
And to think, all that stuff was headed to the landfill! Good job, Mike!e.

The compass looks just like the ones they gave air crews surviver during WW2, my father was on a B17 bomber
My grandpa was co pilot B26 Marauder flew out of Mendenhall England 8th AAF
Wow that's a lot of wire. Glad you recused it from the landfill. People are not as caring as they used to be.

A diamond tester is very cheap. Also acid testers for gold and sterling is also pretty cheap. You should own both of those things.
Great haul.
Your pocket watches are very nice as well.

Fantastic run sir🎉
