I think my favorite part of these dolls is the sculpt and makeup. This one or Harmonique might have my favorite face. I'm not that into mermaids but they are interesting enough where I would probably get just one. More lower body articulation would have been nice, or even a fabric tail over a doll with knee joints. With the way MGA makes clothes, I can imagine they'd do a great job with sequins, pearls, and all that good stuff to glam up a fabric fish tail.
these dolls just hit all the right spots for me. i literally couldn’t buy a single doll ever since they started dropping because i feel like no doll is gonna make me as happy as these. and god knows when we’ll get them in europe :(
My inner germaphobe is screaming in protest and rejection of this packaging! Especially considering we're just reaching the tail end of a two year pandemic (which I don't think we're quite out of the woods yet with, but that's another subject for another time.) They're pretty dolls with beautiful faces, and I was kind of excited to see these reviewed, but now that I've seen one, I'm a little disappointed. It's like, they put all the creativity into the color change element. I think I'll pass on these and continue to expand my OMG and RH collection. Great content, Dom! ❤

Waist up, I like the dolls. The eyes are especially gorgeous. The non moving tail part is weird to me. The hair is dated. I wanted to like this line but seems like a skipper.... I miss fashion dolls with no gimmicks. Guess that's why Integrity exists.
I'm still so unsure how I feel about these dolls, but I do hope they do well enough to get some more releases after this first series because I think they definitely have potential. I plan to get Riviera and probably get Harmonique since they're sisters, but I'll be passing on the others for the time being.

Yeah, that packing is a mistake, if that's the actual design that will be in stores. As far as the dolls are concerned, they would make FABULOUS fashion dolls without the mermaid concept. I'd like to see them as just regular fashion dolls with legs. I love the face and eyes! I'd really like to re-body the head. LOVE her hair and the hand sculpt. The tail is like a sculpted dress as a tail.........I'm not sure what that is about, but it's kind of disconcerting. The color change is probably cool for kids, but I'm kind of not that impressed. I know this is a very strange and unusual question but do you have a liv doll cuz I was wondering if you compare their eyes and eyebrows cuz to me that looks just like a liv doll I just get that very strange vibe from the face and nose eyes I'm thinking about buying one but taking her head off and put it on a maid to move or liv doll body
I agree with the comment left by kitties galore not a fan of the tail sticking out of the packaging not only because of a germ related reason but also worried that the tail could be scratched/ damaged love the upper half of the dolls, they're very pretty love the hair and eyes. Not a fan of the tail and no knee articulation. Also thought the tail is supposed to be part of the mermaid's body (like Ariel) but it seems that the tail on these dolls are more like a dress/costume.
I love how Kishiko and Riviera look, and I love Shellnelle also, but the only thing I dislike about Shellnelle is the color of her tail, the opening on her tail at the end, and the fake pockets on her tail. It is just a bit odd to me.
I see what you mean about the tail. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, it actually looks kinda cute! Until i start thinking about the biological standpoint and wonder how their anatomies function. I like to imagine how the mermaids are in Barbie: A mermaid tale. They make clothing specifically for their tails.
Let's not beat around the bush, they're recolors of each other when it came to the face. But after watching it I think I might buy Shellnelle instead of Harmonique. Her & Masquarade Bryden will look cute together.
I’m just not into the mermaid body they are beautiful dolls but I would love to be able to make them into human I wish that they would’ve gave us a choice so I am really interested in someone taking one of these dolls and removing the head and they be putting it on a different MGA body maybe like a rainbow high body donor are you so should do this?!!!!?
I don't think the packaging is needed... They can be destroyed during shipping. The purse looks kinda cheap. Overall, I don't like her outfit - she reminds me of Barbie Extra
The bow made out of hair is so outdated. It’s peak 2009. I feel like this whole line is kind of outdated. I don’t see them sticking around for a long time. I have a feeling they’ll be hitting clearance shelves sooner than later. Box design is garbage, if the world was made out of toy collectors those boxes would be perfect but we know that grubby hands will get all over those tails.
also they are more expensive than a normal RH dolls and have less articulation, don't come with stands or second outfits ,, they gonna flop hard ,, i won't be getting any
