I feel like in their debut they had so much swag.Then they kinda went into cute concept. In recent comebacks it is like a little mature like fancy or feel special!! I have been following twice for a while now.I love their recent comebacks.It's like the experienced, improved version of twice! And Flo I feel like Momo would be your bias wrecker!!
They were very young then, and a cuter concept for title tracks suited them better and was also well received. Plus, they are naturally cute. As they grow up, transitioning to a more mature / elegant concept make sense. They had done various concepts very well in their B-sides and concerts.
LOA was meant to be "wild and edgy" concept but it flop because of the bandwagon hate towards TWICE when they debuted. SIXTEEN's TV ratings was only 0.4% ... their Debut song LOA first sales was only 700 copies. It means, for a group from JYP who is one of Big3 companies, they were FLOPS. Almost everyone in kpop community called them so. Haters called them untalented, cant sing, cant dance, lipsync, walking flowers(means just beauty but no talent)... their MV took 5 months just to reach 50million views. And the MVs that followed are one of the most disliked MVs in kpop bec the haters were actually doing dislike projects. Big3 privellage? No. They went to schools and performed in small stages for free. Their first fan meetings with few fans were held in parking lots even when it was snowing. After LAO, for 6 months, TWICE worked really hard and showed their their charms through performances, reality TV, and Vlive live streams. The fandom started to grow here. And when the song "Cheer up" came out TWICE's popularity blew up.
