- Montel Williams meets up with Adam in Florida for a special 1-on-1 interview. They chat about Montel’s history on daytime TV and his extensive military background. Montel also discusses how the use of cannabis has helped him as he recalls being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999. The two also talk about various FDA and pharmaceutical regulations. Montel then chats about briefly dating Kamala Harris before the guys dive deeper into discussions about technology, PTSD, and what the government can do to help veterans.

Man, I really enjoyed this interview and getting to know Montel better. I had such a limited impression of him as just a daytime tv show adjacent to Mauri or Jerry Springer. His life resume is admirable and can carry a conversation with insightful content, unlike some other tv personalities that are disappointing outside of their tv studio where producers tell them what to say so they come across smarter or more interesting than they really are. Great interview.
He’s pretty special, actually. It’s like he’s managed to not age for like 30 years! I think his use of cannabis products has something to do with that, that and actually using skin care products, no diggity, I do myself. Who tf wants to look old?
Ikr? Some TV personalities just want to get into the spotlight and they don’t care why, it’s all ego pumping for them, they hardly have a personality to speak of. It’s like an interview with an answering machine, nobody’s home!🤣😏

I remember as well from back in the 1990’s, some time from between after school and when my parents got home from work, Montel would be on TV, my grandma would be watching, she used to have such a potty mouth and taught me naughty language in Ukrainian, talking to the TV, she’d be, saying out loud what we all knew young women were doing that got them pregnant, in such great detail and with hand gestures, among other things discussed on the show, that and other shows, like Maury and Jerry Springer, especially that, because of how wild that last show would get. Good times.☺️😆
Wasn't even going to watch this episode, never knew much about the man, but good, interesting interview. Respect for Montel

Hundreds of daytime TV talk show hosts came and went but the one who always lasted was the military plant. Good way to start the show.

I built my house 2200ish sq. ft. over a 2 year period with, (we're talking about the frame, getting it in the dry) about 90% scrap/salvage lumber. Then spend just under 2 years building, pay as you go for material to finish. So just under 4 years, very nice house no payment. We did this in large part by living on the property in a small pull behind camper, and operating day to day on a very tight budget 15 year's ago. I understand it would be beyond difficult for a young couple to replicate that now... I have a small construction company and I mean small, myself and 3 full-time employees. Every week I get at least one call from someone who will to be moved up on the waiting list offer to pay me at least double. Sadly the list is what it is and your place on it is written in stone. If you wonder why I wouldn't just hire more. I am not willing to give up the time required to keep them working

Montel has fought off a lot and is still dealing with a lot of serious illnesses back in the day and now. He's still out there fighting, looks great, has his head screwed on straight, does not fall for the latest political fads and tells it like it is, unlike a lot of the mushy go-along-to-get-along mush-brains we see on daytime TV today. He is to be commended and respected.
I went into the Navy as a Boiler Tech..did my time, got out and worked in large pharmaceutical manufacturing, which requires lots of boilers. Large sign on bonuses, cash and stock awards, large annual bonuses. Was able to retire, in Southern California at 48..now living the dream on a large homestead in North/Central Florida!🤙🏽🤙🏽

@Petebootyfudge5312 yes it produces more than a high. It makes oils,papers, textiles, look up and do some research. It helps prevent diseases and addictions to opiods and big pharmaceutical. Listen to what Montel just said. It's more than something you ingest. It creates plastics and paints and it's natural. 1 acre of hemp produces more than 4 acres of trees in just 3 months. It has history.

Montel thank you so much for opening up and sharing your experience with the doctors and the opioids. Sometimes I forget the doctors did that to everyone and not just my generation, old school millennials. And I’m so glad you were able to recognize what was going on with the addiction and doctor shopping to where you broke out of that system. Many many of my friends and loved ones were not able to get out and unfortunately they are not on this earth anymore. You just talking about it and sharing your experience helps more people than you could imagine. It’s a very hard system to break out of so I’m glad you were able to. So thank you THANK YOU Montel for sharing that with us!!! Amazing show as always Adam, thank you and keep em coming.

I was part of the Youth Conservation Corps during the summers starting at age 15. it was first started by lottery…anybody could enroll…it was a melting pot of kids. It payed minimum wage for 30 hours of work and 10 hours we got to learn from rangers about our parks and the environment. It changed my life! I then became a youth leader for 2 years and at age 16 and 17. Those two years it was based on need. The program changed dramatically because it was mostly teens that didn’t want to be there. I think it was still good but drastically different and rough. I think the first year was an example of national service and it opened up my world to other kids, rich to poor..etc. I truly believe this is needed but done right. As a woman of 62, I can build a shed, understand fire trails needed for fire control and more than I can list. Every teen should go through something like a nation service like this…but would it ever happen now?
Not while kids are being raised to be allergic to everything.

the pot issue is , If you use pot for medicinal purposes most people are fine with it. The problem with pot is it stays in your system too long to tell if you're high at the moment and you have had an accident, unlike alcohol which is easier to tell if you're drunk. Also, Big pharm doesn't like anything if it works too well because there's not enough money in it.
Same reason many med schools only really skim over the nutrition/metabolic curriculum these days and dispensed with the Hippocratic oath.

There are several doctors in the US that have been looking at MS, along with several other conditions, through a whole new lens. It may seem out there to people because it's something that the rest of the world recognizes but it's strangely absent from American medicine. That thing would be parasites. For MS specifically, they have done autopsies on a number of people who had MS and they found parasites in 100% of them. It's not a huge number so far, a couple dozen I believe but the fact that they all had them is significant. US doctors are taught that we only get parasites if we travel to certain places outside the US and that's simply not true but since that is what's taught in our medical schools, doctors never consider parasites . If you try to talk to any doctors trained in the US about them, they will almost always completely reject the idea. Obviously more research needs done. There are several ways to treat parasites, some are natural and none are too costly. Anti-parasite drugs are also some of the safest drugs ever produced by pharma. The doctors that are in this arena believe they could be what's behind many conditions and if they are correct, a huge number of people will be helped.
