    Bought in clear and cover nude. When I apply, small fibers seem to stick up and create lumps. I’ve tried thick and thin coats. Even after finish filing with yn sponge file -small hairs stick up and create bumps in the finish. What am i doing wrong 😅? Tried to smooth things over with ultimate topcoat -it is so thick I cant get it smooth. Love your brand and want to love these products!

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Make sure you aren't brushing it on with a lot of pressure. If you use less pressure and more of a "floating" motion, this will allow the fibers to stay suspended within the gel. If you brush too firmly, you may get more texture and the fibers won't be sealed.

    • @boujeemama4972
      @boujeemama4972 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The main difference is this is one step and done no base or top coat needed. It also is meant to just help protect and nourish the nail not build any type of extension. Also they always recommend removing with an e-file but it can be soaked off ( if you do want to soak off remember not to use protein bond because then it must be e-filed off)

      Boujee Mama thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my question, I'm BRAND new to all this and am learning everyday!
      My intention is to just do my own nails and have fun but there's SO much to learn along the way it really makes you appreciate AND RESPECT the knowledge and talent you professionals have!
      May I ask a question re your point about needing to avoid using a protein bond if intending to soak off. I didn't know this 🙈 does this apply to ALL bonds?
      I use the ibd LED/UV BONDER (this one needs to be cured before applying product on top) or I've just bought but not yet tried the ibd power bond that air dries? Do I need to not use these products if I plan to soak off? If I do end up soaking product off and I HAVE used either of these will I need file them off?
      I haven't reached the point yet where I've needed to soak a full set off to know what they look like and to see if there's a substance still present on the nail after soaking.
      I'm SO sorry if this is an absolute beginner idiot 101 question, but like they say - you don't know what you don't know !! And I'd rather ask the question and look stupid once but then get the correct answer so that I can learn and do it correctly every time in the future. 😊 Thanks again for your time 🙏🏻❤️

    • @boujeemama4972
      @boujeemama4972 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not a stupid question at all and I'm actually not a professional just a nail enthusiast like yourself. If I'm not a hundred percent sure but I do believe the ibd bonder can be removed by soaking it but in all honesty not really necessary for this product. They created this product to protect but in a convenient way. Like Greg said you don't need the protein bond he just likes to add it. And with young nails protein bond being used it they say it a lot in their videos that once protein bond is used you can't soak it off it must be filed away. I hope that helps.

    This product was my first artificial enhancement besides using gel polish. Immediately after applying it, I loved how easy it was to use and how it looked coming out of the lamp. The second coat, I tried to build a bit more of an apex vs painting it on and that worked great. However, the next day, I noticed my free edge/tips looked lighter like it pulled a bit ( maybe it was the lighting that I didn’t notice the first day). It is because I put it on a little thicker than just painting it on? I followed the preps to a T and used Protein bond. Is there another product I should using to “build” a little more vs paining it on? I have flat nails and would like to make a little more of an apex. Either way, I’d keep buying this, please make this in a bigger bottle/jar ;).

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Fiber Gel works great on fingers or toes. The product itself won't dehydrate the nails, but if you are soaking it off with acetone at every appointment, this could be causing the dryness.

      Thanks! I usually actually file off the polish on toes, I use the diamond bit once I get the majority of the color off, and about every 6 weeks but the nails look white sometimes and I don't believe it's from any injury 🤔 definitely isn't a fungus either. After researching it looks like the keratin granulation though

    Can I use this instead of doing an acrylic overlay on really long natural nails?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can definitely use the Fiber Gel for an overlay. Depending on the client and their nails, the Fiber Gel may give them enough strength and flexibility. However, some clients may need the extra "hardness" of the acrylic, so it would depend on the client and their lifestyle.

    Can you use regular tips with this fiber gel?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are using regular tips, we recommend keeping them on the shorter, more active length and you may have to build a little more structure to the stress area. They won't have as much strength as an acrylic or hard gel nail will, so we don't recommend doing long enhancements with Fiber Gel.

    Question 🙋🏻‍♀️ if your nails are weak already and we apply this, would it make the nails harder or would they still bend 🤔

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Fiber Gel does work really well on brittle/thin nails! We would recommend doing 2-3 thin coats as a base before your gel polish color to build a little structure. If you are just using it for a base coat under your gel polish, you can use any of the Fiber Gel colors, but the original is a nice clean, slightly translucent color that won't interfere with the color you put on top. If you are wanting to use the Fiber Gel for a nude/opaque color instead of gel polish, the Cover Nude or Soft White are pretty options. They will all have the same benefit to the nail, it's just what color you prefer.
