Finally was able to complete & upload my long pending bus journey from Mumbai to Ballari. This is one of the second most requested routes after doing my Mangalore to Hyderabad bus journey by KSRTC Ambaari bus. I had initially thought of traveling by Citizen Travels. However, the bus front was still being rebuilt so it didn't look very appealing. Hence I decided to travel by Ocean Travels. The major operators on this route are Citizen Travels, Anand Travels, VRL BS6 sleeper/seater bus, Ocean Travels & Meenakshi Travels. Ocean Travels previously also had Volvo b9r running on this route however I believe that bus is not running as of now. Most of the buses on this route are AC sleeper buses apart from Meenakshi Travels. So, as usual, my pickup point was Sion and the reporting time of the bus was 4:15 p.m. However due to the weekend traffic there were a lot of delays and the bus arrived at 5:05 p.m. Most of the buses on this route were full. Our bus did some really good speeds to try and cover up the time lost due to traffic. In fact, after the fuel stop when I checked on maps it showed that we would reach Ballari by 9:15 am, which was the scheduled time. Both the drivers drove really well and the bus engine sound was terrific to hear. Abdul bhai was ripping the bus and we overtook many buses.
We reached Hospet by 8: 15 am which was on time. However, in Hospet there was quite a bit of luggage and the road wasn't any good. Hence, we reached Ballari at 10:05 am.
Eventually, we were the first bus to reach Ballari, in spite of the delays. And you must not miss the engine's raw sound which was like music to the ears.

Distance: 800 Kms
Time: 18-19 hours

@@kevinanand yes. Pune -solapur and vijaypura -hospet were 4 lane long ago. Solapur -vijaypura including solapur western byepass was completed post corona. I think beginning of 2022...

It’s Ashok Leyland but engine is not in good condition.

Bro high speed driven long time,this Omni bus engines runned maximum speed,so it's not like ordinary local bus engine sound,it's a purbashok Leyland old turbo engine sound,but it's got pickup maximum speed more than 100,the vistle sound is not an engine complaint sound,it's turbo sound.
Its struggling beacuse of low torque.... With weight they need to inprove engine power
