People use the dumbest reasons to say why Tinashe isn't special, they will make baseless claims like "her voice is average" when she has a 5 octave vocal range along with one of the best vibrato control out here, they will say her production sounds like everything else out when she is one of the few that uses a bass-heavy, darkly atmospheric Alternative R&B sound in the same vein of The Weeknd and 6Lack, or that her writing sucks when she is one of the few female singers that can perfectly convey writing from the point of view of a woman singing to a man when she wants to be sensual (which is a huge 90s staple among female R&B singers of that time), along with writing metaphors dealing with government corruption, media manipulation materialism, and other political issues and also knowing when and how to write a simple turn-up song with catchy, confident and even comical lines. The girl knows various artistic lanes to take and when she aims to create one, she rarely ever misses the mark.
Y'all seriously need to stop with your claims that she is nothing special, even professional music critics have praised this girl and her potential over the years, which clearly they can view in her while you are too narrow minded to see it. You are no better than her former management team that constantly held her back and kept her from reaching her potential.
And here's the thing...... Lets just say that Tinashe REALLY IS nothing special, then by that logic, shouldn't she also be bigger than what she is now, since there are so many other not-so-special artists out now that are wildly more popular? Exactly.
