Honestly, even Kingston getting up confused as to why he's not dead and maybe even saying that it must've been a dud would've been better than sticking to the script where they just survived a massive devastating explosion. Btw, why _wasn't_ there a massive devastating explosion? Was it a last minute change that came in so late the boys had no idea how lame it was going to be? Did they initially have one but decided to not do it because it was too dangerous? If so, then why go through the story anyway?
Or they could have not had Mox and their Booker of the Year go into damage control the night of it and ran with a Kingston/Omega feud setup the Dynamite of it with some seriousness. Looking back at that exploding barbed wire match now I gotta give aew and the booking credit. They did the greatest pivot since Scottie Pippen in Chicago and were able to masterfully weave what happened into a storyline seamlessly. It was so perfectedly executed that now no one cares about that moment. A botch that everyone said people will talk about barely anyone ever brings up anymore.

Eddie's hand flopping to the mat after the "explosion" was a perfect visual for how they must have felt. Looking back at that exploding barbed wire match now I gotta give aew and the booking credit. They did the greatest pivot since Scottie Pippen in Chicago and were able to masterfully weave what happened into a storyline seamlessly. It was so perfectedly executed that now no one cares about that moment. A botch that everyone said people will talk about barely anyone ever brings up anymore.

Look at the Will Smith thing, it was for a week and now no one cares even though it was on live tv during the Oscars and done by two known celebrities. I read a few pages from that Moxley book since some were online and there was one copy at a bookstore I was in and it's weirdly written lmao. I'm curious if it sold a lot of copies or just a decent amount.
I think it’s written that way because he was in charge of most of it, the writing sounds like he talks irl.
afaik he didn't use a ghost writer nor was it edited much unlike most wrestling books, so it's kinda just Mox's exact thoughts on any given topic.
@@SoapyTF Yeah makes sense, was super unusual since reading other books (not just wrestling books but like outside of wrestling) then seeing that, it sticks out a lot lol. The only other wrestling related book I read was from Bret Hart and that one I think for sure he had someone help him out since I remember he thanked the publisher and maybe someone else for editing.
