    I mean PSA just graded and authenticated a Pokémon card that had a penis drawn in it….how reputable is that?

    • @PokeThrillz
      @PokeThrillz  ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean I am not a person that will talk good about PSA ever lol but I hope that it was at least a good drawing. I always recommend TCGC but if someone requires a big name then go with Beckett or SGC.

    I am frankly tired of hearing about PSA and their inferior slabs, drab labels and ambiguous grading standards. Why the following? Nothing wrong with a company like this especially with the most trusted man in baseball, Derek Jeter

    • @PokeThrillz

      I can’t stand PSA and I mention that in the video. However, there is a lot wrong with this company with everything I explained and showed in this video. They are many other companies to use who are credible like Beckett, SGC, TCGC, HGA, and so on.

    My guess is a 10 and three 9.5s average out to a 9.6 and therefor rounds up to a 10. Had you got a 10, 9 and two 9.5s they would’ve slabbed it a 9.5 overall.

    • @PokeThrillz
      @PokeThrillz  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I get that part but just seems like a slimy way to give a card a 10. So that’s why I say don’t use decimals at all if you’re going to run it this way. This is exactly why CGC got rid of decimal scores and sub grades. That way they can give out more 10’s to bring money in.

    • @jasonnicholson508

      They do, do 9.5s on the front.. I usually go PSA but I've sent in gem mint and got back 6s on ultra modern cards, multiple things that don't make sense..I think their all a money grab but it is what it is... I know your on tcgc but no different

    I'd look up grading rules before making a video and calling it a "scam". A 'gem mint' 10 is not a perfect 10 as per the grading rules explained on their site. It means at least 1 out of the four subgrades are a 10 and none of the other subgrades are under 9.5.
    A 'perfect' 10 is the highest possible rating, all subgrades being 10s.
    As others have commented, PSA is really dropping the ball and Arena club is poised to become the most reputable / reliable grader if the trends continue, given the fact they leverage AI and digital scanning so that human error is further minimized.

    • @PokeThrillz
      @PokeThrillz  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m not sure in what world one 10 qualifies a card being “Gem Mint”? I have not seen any other company grade by that standard. To tell people a card is Gem Mint but only have one 10 seems little scammy. It screams “we are going to do everything we can to give your card a 10!”.
      Also, it’s incredibly funny that everyone that comes from Arena Club ignores the fact that they gave a card with multiple creases, messed up corners and edges, and non-perfect centering an 8! That the biggest SCAM of all and makes this comment laughable 🤡! You all seem to ignore that.
      The biggest joke is that you think trends are showing Arena Club becoming the most reliable company. I’m still laughing about that. What trends? Where the heck is that research??

    • @SheerForce66
      @SheerForce66 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lmao! How crazy can you be to think Arena Club will take over the grading card industry? These people coming to stand up for this company are most likely working for them. I'll never grade with this scam of a company. I've seen and felt their slabs in my hands. They do not have any business grading cards. ITS A MONEY GRAB! STAY AWAY!

      I just don’t think you understand. But I respect your opinion. I watched my 10 year old get crushed by seeing what he gave up for these cards to just get screwed over. You also have to understand coming from someone who is minority owner for a smaller grading company who is busting their asses to put out a fair and great product. Just to be grouped with pop up shops doing stuff like this to make a quick buck. It makes companies like TCGC, Diamond Grading, HGA, and so on get put down and loose business. This is a much needed video to educate people and to stick up for the little guys. I am watching amazing people at TCGC trying to keep business afloat to just get passed on because companies like Arena Club are giving good smaller companies a bad name. It just takes kids who don’t know much about grading to use a cheaper small company like Arena Club and get a “9” and then be told to they got scammed and lied too and never trust a smaller company again. I want to prevent that.

    Do not listen to this guy, this company is not trying to be a money grab, they use AI and Machine learning to grade your cards, and will show you every blemish online in your account on why something was graded the way they were graded(This youtuber didn't want to show you this apparently). An if you're baffled on why 1 of your cards got a 10 because you got a 10,9.5,9.5,9.5, is because its not a perfect 10, but still counts as a 10. Look at how the other grading companies grade their 9.5's vs PSA's 10. If you are trying to say PSA is a better company, you are getting kickbacks from them, I have seen man people regrade and send the same card to PSA multiple times every time coming back with different grades. Yes PSA is the most well known, but if they do not catch up with this technique and getting your cards to you faster, they will lose market share. You have to be dumb if you would rather let a person with their eyes grade your cards over an intelligent machine that can actually see and learn everything wrong with your card.

    • @PokeThrillz
      @PokeThrillz  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Your AI machines must be terrible then. TCGC used machines as well. This is the biggest money grab if I have ever seen one. The card has 4 creases. It’s complete bullshit that this card would get an 8 other than it’s a money grab or the people working there are the dumbest people in the world and have no idea what they are doing. Nice try buddy but the proof is in the pooding on your shitty company.

      @@PokeThrillz but like what about that doesn't make sense? How would you put a decimal grade on a card, without averaging the sub grades? Like I'm curious what actually doesn't make sense about how they score?

    • @PokeThrillz
      @PokeThrillz  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@NtroVrt919 because if you take the average score (sub grades: 10, 9.5, 9.5, 9.5) it comes out to 9.625. With basic math rules you then round to the nearest value, which means you round down to 9.5 for the overall grade. The average would need to be 9.75 or higher to make sense by math standards, to round up to 10.
      I know every company can be different but that is not a qualified 10 with any other company having those sub grades. It would either be a 9.5 or 9, if the company doesn’t use sub grades.
      But with them not following basic math rules and giving it a 10, makes them shady in my opinion.

    • @NtroVrt919
      @NtroVrt919 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PokeThrillz I see the issue. They're (like many other) are using a 1-10 with a .5 increment decimal system to grade. Anything above that .5 gets rounded up by .5 anything below that get rounded down .5.
      I mean that extremely basic, I don't see how that's any different than SGC, BGS, HGA. It makes sense, if they were to do what you're talking about, they would be giving out 9.7's and 9.85s. I'm not understanding the discrepancy, unless you know something about other companies that give .5 decimal grades I don't.

    • @PokeThrillz

      @@NtroVrt919 I wish I could upload photos but if you find any other company that use decimal points and shows sub grades and when the sub grades are 10, 9.5, 9.5, 9.5 not one of them has it as a 10 overall.
