Erin, you were correct. The video that features Butterfly is called 'On Stage: Prologue'. It is a major part of the Bangtan Universe (BU). You will see the truck there. The Butterfly choreo was one of the best gifts we received for Festa. It's one of my fav choreos.
The truck is from the on stage prologue which is storyline based and incorporates Butterfly and other songs into it. (its around 12 minutes). There are versions with English subs.
Oh yeah I for sure suggest the dance pratice😀. This is definitely one of my favorite choreos from them, the details are so delicate and intricate yet powerful (just like the song and lyrics themselves💜😁)
I love this song. I think this is one of my favorites BTS song. It takes me to HYYH era the moment i hear it and my heart melts instantly. RM's rap towards the end is like a rapture.. intense like when a butterfly is about to detangle itself from the cocoon and finally flying away. The performance/choreo is so gentle, almost magical to me.. i just truly love this performance 💜💜💜
This song is so beautiful I was just streaming tears at Yet To Come in theaters. The emotions but gentle emotive way the song and choreography flow amaze me. A perfect song.
Yeah, the "video" for Butterfly is the "onstage: Prologue". It features the song, but not all the way through. It fits in between the M/Vs for "I Need U" and "Run". I highly recommend, even if you've seen them already (I can't remember if you have) to watch those three in order, because the storylines are closely tied together and it will make a much bigger impact. And make sure you watch the original unedited (longer) version of "I Need U".
Recommend the Dance Practice when Yoongi Rapping, the members made a Butterfly out of J-Hope as his Wings. It's really impactful when you see it upfront. Butterlfy is also the Theme Song of the BU, it's a huge part of the Storyline it's related to Jins Character and the Butterfly Effect.
They might be referring to when JK puts his hand up and curls his fingers around his eye at the beginning of Yet to Come. He does that in the HYYH Prologue - an instrumental lead in to Butterfly starts when he does it and then the song comes in. Or they're referring to the butterfly in Suga's verse. I hadn't picked up on the first until you mentioned it, and it tickled the back of my brain enough that I had to check the prologue MV to see if that tickle was right and, yep, there it was. Either way, I can see why people see it as a reference because, as we know, pretty much everything in that MV is one.
This song is simply gorgeous. It is certainly one of my favorite songs by BTS. It's almost... ethereal in it's feeling and texture.
