I've been watching documentaries about people who were born on my birthday. the common factor is the ability to not take no seriously. also, there is a family aspect. but most importantly, visionary. Estee Lauder, Missy Elliot, Princess Di, Dan Akroyd. all people who said no, I'll do it my way, thanks.
I was close to my grandma, I once gave her a ReNutriv lipstick and a small bottle of Youth Dew when I was a teenager. My dream was to be a cosmetic chemist for Estee Lauder when I was 14. I became a chemist but I work in environmental compliance.
The one aspect I would like to see Estee Lauder (and companies like it) take a step into reality in terms of their ad campaigns, especially fragrance. These weird, alternative reality fragrance ads haven't evolved in 30 years. I also would like to see a switch up of real looking people in their ads, the tall, ultra slim models are so passe, outdated, out of touch, etc. That seems to be the only area of their companies they constantly fall short on and can't seem to evolve.
I am very disappointed in my experience working for Estee Lauder. I believe that if it was a storefront on its own it could be amazing, combined with Macy's brings in the customer and the god-awful experience that I've had so far. I believe they have me doing the work of at least seven people by myself we do have others that rotate and help out but we all help out everywhere so my experience for working for Estee Lauder has been that I am the counter manager and have many responsibilities and duties along with that I have to work at Mac impulse Lancome Clinique women's fragrance men's fragrance I've been working 6 days in a row 54 hours a week and I'm thoroughly exhausted. I started off loving my job and now I hate it this video makes it sound so glamorous and wonderful and if there were other people there to help maybe it could be glamorous and wonderful but let me tell you I've definitely put in the hard work and doing it the way they have it set up now is just treacherous
I worked for them for many Years… I always asked my managers to ask for them to stop the horrible and cruel animal testing ….the greed was an eye opener … beautiful and Innovative products and amazing product designers … sad that they never cared about the animal testing that they endorsed and they had other methods but just to save a little money they would not … poor ethics maybe they have had to make some Changes now due to so many other smaller companies with a fraction of the money having better ethics …
A friend who once worked there told me a story that is famous and even possibly true. Estee continued to make unannounced visits to the headquarters even when she was quite old. On one of these visits a young male employee passed by her. She noticed he was wearing a fragrance and she asked him what it was. He responded "Calvin Klein's Obsession" to which Ms. Lauder said "You're fired. Get your things and get out."
I just interviewed with estee ladder district manager in the bridge water new jersey area Jennifer. I have 36 years of Estee lauder experience I am hoping to be hired. I am passionate about this line. I am 62 and I don't think I got it! Instincts tell me, you need to be young.

Estee's iconic product that put her on the map. Very disappointing. I believe Mrs Lauder would be rolling in her grave if she knew. Shame on you ALL!
