Thanks. I have a question: What do you mean by "When it is tied" in minute 4:59? What happens to the cards that got discarded from phase 1? Do you play with them in phase2?
great review. Just picked this up. Most games I play with 2. This one and Fox in the Forest are both great games. I can't help but feel, however, that Claim is less "serious" or "formal" than Fox. Gotta love the two parts as well. Both have a lot of depth and are quick games. I will also be keeping both.
Claude Bridges Name both are amazing very different feels but I kept both. Claim has higher highsAnd lower lows with more excitement but fox in the forest is more even keel and a more balanced game
Agree with what fellow commenter James said, it's certainly a pretty game, like Fox in the Forest. For some reason I thought you were going to give this one a bad review. Great to see another good 2-player trick-taking game. Love For Sale. Thanks Dan.
You're welcome. I have plenty of bad reviews up my sleeve on my shelf, but I'd rather spend many hours about games I'm excited about vs ones that are ho hum, or I don't like!

So it's German Whist with a couple special powers. I'm not knocking it, just wondering why it hasn't been done already.

I totally agree with you about the less serious aspect which is why both are great to have!
Man, I really thought this would take off right alongside Fox in the Forest, but I never hear this game talked about anymore.
Probably because it doesn't yet have wider distribution.
I notice a box for Gold Raiders in the back but couldn't find where you reviewed it. Is this coming soon? Curious about it.
Paul Mazzoni I'm working on a Rules School for it now but haven't reviewed it yet.
This game is pretty. Fox in the Forest very pretty as well.
Thanks for the great review. Curious which you prefer: Claim or Fox in the Forest?
