      Yea I got stung by a Tarantula Hawk while living in Texas... and how he fell screaming, thats how it is lol. Dude is a legend for doing all those stings for the Schmidt Pain Index.

    A lot of people may have either heard or known about this. But Army Ants are one of the few types that can be used as makeshift stitches in a survival situation. The key is to pick out the soldier ants, have them bite down on a laceration and pinch the body off to leave the head behind. It isn't recommended to try this unless you literally have no other options and your life depended on it.

    Thanks to Coyote Peterson from Brave Wilderness, I fear the Executioner Wasp. He said the sting was worse than both the Warriior Wasp and than the Bullet Ant.

      I'm convinced that the majority of intelligent alien life is insectoid. Most of the animal life on earth is insects. On other planets with difference atmospheric conditions, it's not inconceivable at all to think that there's countless races of giant ant people things. And that terrifies me.

    I'm normally not creeped out by insects but some of these look like small animals. If I had to pick my favorite insect it would probably be the Praying Mantis.

    I had a praying mantis land on my table in front me a few weeks ago. He didn’t want to leave. So he’s our pet. Did the research and got the stuff. He’s so awesome. Wife loves to watch him feed. :)

      i had a baby land on me years ago. i tried to gently remove him n place him on a bush (he couldnt live on me) guess that idea pissed him off cause he bit/pinched me before moving to the bush XD

    Assassin bugs are also called kissing bugs cause they bite people sleeping on the lip and they can carry chagas disease which is bad for people

    Considering you had several Coyote clips, I'm sorta surprised the Executioner wasp didn't make the list - it not only looks bad-ass as all Hell, but Coyote said that its sting was more painful than that of a Bullet ant.

    I won't be the first (or last) to point this out, but neither spiders nor centipedes are insects. Also, most assassin bugs won't bite humans under normal circumstances, but some can transmit illnesses such as Chagas' disease through their bites.

    The main reason I know about the Weta bug is that the behind the scenes videos of Lord of the Rings taped about some of the cast and crew poking fun at Peter Jackson’s phobia of them.

      Weta is also the name of the special effects team that did the special effects for a lot of Peter Jackson’s films such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong. They’re named after the insect of course!

      "Wormy" that episode from SpongeBob SquarePants has a footage of a real horsefly, when I was a kid and when I saw that footage, I was honestly not that scared, but I was creeped out when I found that that a horsefly can bite.

    3:33 i actually have seen one of these, and i was a toddler so i wanted to touch it. i barely touched it with my bare foot and thankfully nothing happened, but eventually my mom told me it was venomous and i freaked out 😭

    While living in Lubbock, Texas i got stung by a Tarantula Hawk.... Yea what happened to Coyote Peterson, how he fell on the ground screaming and writhing.... yea thats what you do... probably the worst pain I ever felt... Even having my appendix nearly burst wasn't even close
