Some random notes/things I can think of:
-WS2 stun can be escaped by holding f.
-There are oki setups where horns will catch a techroll and a backroll with the same timing.
-FC f+2 was jab punishable ON HIT. Thats why it wasnt really used.
-Had a terrible matchup vs Changs because no answer to elbow/shotgun combined with huge i8 CH launcher into ridiculous combos.
-Jack-2 and Gunjack can punish f+2 with f+1+2, d+1+2 for almost half his life, so you cant really use that move vs them.

There's tons more things, he's a really unique character, propably the most dominating character ever in the way he can steamroll you once he gets a knockdown, but at the same very vulnerable to all sorts of shenanigans due to his size.

I remember your name, by any chance are you one of the guys that came to Luton in 2002 and stayed at the shannon hotel for the TTT1 Absolution tournament where they had pad ports on the cabinet. I remember i randomly came from my hotel room downstairs to the austrians room and played TTT1 with them. I remember Kreaper of the cain and bohensuppee, there were some other guys but i dont remember their names

True Ogre having a long ass range attacks and absurd damage is something else. Also waiting for you to try out tekken characters in Street fighter X Tekken (Just imagine playing them but on 2d environment)

i learned all this stuff in the arcade lol. ff+2 in my arcade was gotten out of all the time cause the guys there were really strong and it was because of getting beat up by them that i wanted to get that salty runback finally. the jin and bruce combos i ate all the time but when i started getting tricky doing combos and dropping them for the big unblockable or doing ogre stuff tag into true ogre fire unblockable things started cooking

True Ogre was a neutral monster in tag 1 but he had some weaknesses that put him behind Jin , Devil (and Kazuya tho both him and devil are kinda the same with minor differences) or Heihachi. for starters, Ogre's combo damage wasn't nearly as good as heihachi or Jin's combo damage, however, They had insane mini combo damage, in addition to that True Ogre only had positive netsu with himself (Ogre) and he had the worst movement in the game by a margin (tho despite that movement was overall insane in tag 1) , Bruce is a character that is good against true ogre because he was so safe on his stuff so he could Brawl out ogre really well due to also having fast and safe counter hit tools that are fast enough to brawl True Ogre, True Ogre has probably the best tracking in the game overall because of his wide hitbox so he is hard to step but the only character who could step him well to some degree was Armor King, Armor King has the best sidestep in Tag 1 and also Ogres have of the highest amount of health in the game , what puts both Ogres closer to heihachi is his life bar and better lows. Heihachi's, devil and kazuya. punishment was far superior to both Ogre. Heihachi had an i13 twin pistons from standing and a flash punch combo in i8 (or i10 I don't remember to the fullest), same goes for devil and what's more is that devil's twin pistons is safe at -6, kazuya had an i10 ws launching twin pistons so Ogres were pretty risky against kazuya on that regard but True Ogre specificly was more consistent against kazuya in the neutral . The actual top 5 characters in Tag 1 are in this order:
1.Jin
2.Kazuya/Devil - Tie
3. Ogres
4. Heihachi (I would even say that he is on par with both Ogres because both have related short comings)
5. Bruce
According to me Top five in tag 1 are
1 - Devil
2 - ogre/True ogre
3 - Jin
4 - Kazuya
5 - Heihachi
Or I say top 4 are
1- Ogres/Devil
2- Jin
3- Kazuya
4- Heihachi
I ranked in this order because I played tag 1 for many years and in high pressure matches devil and ogres perform very well because they required less execution and are Low risk high reward player. Ogres and devil also have very good range on most of their moves.ogre have huge sidestep and backdash in tag 1 True ogre due to his big size doesn't have very big sidestep but his overall movement is good in the game with very large backdash.True ogre took more damage in combos that's his disadvantage but he also can eat your player lifebar in a matter of seconds due to his high damaging moves which also has god like range. True ogre also has best okizeme in tag 1 and best techroll and bankroll catching moves in the form of his horns. Ogre is more well rounded than true ogre because he didn't have any major weakness as true ogre but also he does not have the capability to Kill you in seconds like true ogre so they are almost even. In my opinion ogres and Devil are almost equal but devil is on 1 because he also has wavedash / crouch dash movement which ogres don't have. jin is also very good maybe he deserves to be on top of this list but he required more execution and at high level people easily beat jin with ogres or devil.Also devil and ogres have more health and are very good to play as a turtle. Heihachi has low health and besides his EWGF and twin piston and high combo damage he don't have anything special and he is also not easy to play at high level and required execution.
I put kazuya above heihachi because I think he is more well rounded overall and can be paired with jin very well.

You guys are forgetting about the Changs! They were mad insane, especially against Ogres and Jin.
My tier list is something like:
1. Devil
2. Jin
3. Kazuya
4. Changs
5. Bruce
6. Ogre
7. True Ogre
Cheapest tag 1 character, that's for sure, but imo the cheapest tekken character ever has to be tekken 1 King/Armor King, you simply cannot get more broken than having a move that's +93 on block.

There hasn't been a lot said about the two characters and I have no idea which versions of them are considered the best and the worst.

their first iterations are def their ''worst'' as namco only expanded their move set and gave them new tools.

He was cheap but bruce made him look honest. Even with his fly bruce players would just use that as a free reset. The range on his demon god fist though lol
Bruce had a good matchup vs him (CH 1,2,1,2, lol), but overall TOgre was cheaper, IMO. Bruce cant put you in a mixup loop like TOgre.

Jin had pretty much everything except for a consistent flash punch combo, True Ogre had the worst movement in Tag 1 and even despite that his core tools were enough to put him and regular ogre in top 5
