If you get ultra high fps cap it at double or triple of your monitor refresh rate because having it that way will have sync timings and give you the smoothest experience (always use fps cap)
I cannot agree here. Playing cs go with 200 fps and 400fps is a completely different feel. Doesn't matter you see only 144frames on your monitor. Games feel smoother and more responsive since you are seeing the most recently generated frame. Not to mention the input lag you feel with your hands. Even your testing proves you don't gain much with locking your fps except maybe on Apex.
Agree, I’ve tested this with a person right at my skill level. When I capped it was slower, uncapped could beat him, only trade off is, you miss more edits it it slightly unstable but you are slightly faster. So you pick
i have ryzen 9 5900x + radeon 6700xt gpu with my 144 hz monitor so im playing pubg PC and im wondering what should i do capp it to 144 fps or put unlimited fps dont say to me its your prefference pls need answer because some ppl said to me ' no you should put unlimited' and some ppl said 'no you should capp it' so please i need help i dont know what to do and + this vid is awesome keep up the good work. thanks.
You're not even measuring input delay these tests and results and absolutely pointless. Do not listen to this guy check out someone's video who actually measures the input delay clueless wonder. How can you say these are the best settings with no measurements it's also known rtss gives the worse input delay.
Totally agree useless video where is input delay capped uncapped dsnt matter u cap frames from settings it will definitely lower your fps compared to uncapped Whats the point of thiss mann
Is it really necessary to activate that "async" for "Enable framerate limiter"? I mean, shouldn't it work without that? Maybe that is a secondary thing if you want to specify which one is the software using, but maybe the default is already that. I really don't know.
You are just measuring fps, not input latency. Hardware Unboxed showed that RTSS was always worse than the in-game fps cap and in most cases capping your fps resulted in higher input latency. There is no blanket recommendation but I would avoid RTSS if there is an in-game cap and in most cases avoid capping all together in competitive titles. In singleplayer it doesn't really matter or rather I would always cap fps in singleplayer games to save power and reduce noise.
Another fantastic video, definitely worth looking into. Thanks man.

this channel is way underrated.
I have a Ryzen 5 5600x and RTX 3060 with 180hz. I just cap my games 70 fps. I'm grateful just being over 60 fps as my first pc.
i'd say capping it at around 10 or 20 fps more than your monitors refresh rate is the sweet spot
@RagingBuddhist this is the best and correct way to cap your fps th-cam.com/video/_73gFgNrYVQ/w-d-xo.html
In newer versions of RTSS you can use now NVIDIA reflex in the FPS limiter for RTX 40 series, that is by far the best option, halves the input delay.
I have 60hz monitor and i cap all the time cause i get less usage, less power draw as you said and tons more
Reducing won't affect graphics of the game right?
@@spartan04801No it's just your frames per second

CSGO doesn't' work
Literally doesn't matter if it feels different 😂 keep coping
but it does reduces power consumption on power hungry GPUs ( like rtx 3080ti )
@@slaydog5102you have never played csgo

I never comment but dude ur fkn god tier! Calm and amazing info
What where the MW2 in game settings set to? Ultra? Basic? Minimum? Just curious.
I used all low mw2 settings to see how it would perform for competitive players

Could you do a 2023 Nvidia control panel and profile inspector walkthrough?

2023 Apex settings plz
yeahhhh lets goooo
Thanks
Soo chamber if i use rtss and i have locked 300 fps on apex
But screen is 240hz
Capping fps with rtss on 235fps and GSYNC OFF or ON is best ?
What do you think G-Sync is worth to turn on ,or it's increasing input lag /latency?
Gsync is def worth it. Slight latency increase yes but you get significantly better image quality because of no tearing
@@ChamberTech Thx
Any sync sucks if your in it for competitive. Turn that sht off
