My heart goes out to these families. I understand their pain, grief and need for dignity . . . because military families are suffering it too.
I just want to share another terrible truth with you in the event Earth Justice might be able to help the thousands of US service-members and their families who have been and continue to be poisoned by undisclosed, hazardous levels of organochlorine pesticides in and around their assigned homes on US military bases. Contamination levels confirmed are 100's if not 1000's times higher than EPA safety recommendations, but still our country's protectors and defenders . . . and their families are assigned to lease and live in these contaminated neighborhoods without any word or precaution or warning about the much higher rates of cancer and other diseases to which they, their spouses, children and pets are exposed. IAnd when they develop these diseases caused by chronic exposure, their military turns their back on them. t's a terrible truth and one that deserves attention, as our military service members and their families deserve access to safe housing.
Instead, US taxpayers are unwittingly paying billions of to multi-billion dollar real estate corporations to profit from poisoning our troops and their families in and around their own homes on American soil. This was made possible by MHPI legislation Congress enacted in 1996. Although it provided for the privatization of military family housing, it did not require any environmental, health or safety oversight of these private contractors in these contaminated military family housing neighborhoods on federal lands. EPA deferred oversight to the states, who have no jurisdiction. As a result, these wealthy real estate corporations are making billions and not even fulfilling the obligations of their contracts. They're not removing, remediating or even disclosing the hazardous contamination in these neighborhoods that are home to thousands of unsuspecting service members and their families.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Links below share 100's of official reports and evidence proving these claims. I can be reached at carabarber@earthlink.net.

When more priority is put on the welfare of animals than human beings, we know our country's leaders have lost their moral compass completely.

@ 4:36 Shame on Gov Scott. How did it come to be that our society values the welfare of an alligator more than that of a human being? My heart breaks for these farm workers. What's worse is that It's not just them, it's also the long term genetic affect that could also develop in their children, grandchild, etc... More proof that organic is the way to go.

They've been cleaning it up for 20 years and it's gotten much better. I don't think they're still polluting it.

They have been cleaning it up but from what i see theyre still polluting it. Two eagles almost died recently from the lake County side of lake apopka but were rescued.
