It's nice to hear her say that she is friends with Ingrid and Lisa. There aren't many sports where opponents become friends again outside of competition.
I think biathlon is a special sport. All the biathletes seem friendly.
It's even better (I think so, at least😅) that they are all in Salomon now since Ingrid and Lisa changed to it before this season. I call them the Salomon trio

@@lecarnute Yes I agree. She's very driven also, not afraid to say what she wants to do and does it on the track. She's having a great year and yet has stayed very humble, poised and classy. There isn't an ounce of arrogance in her. I love our French team this year and she's a big part of it.
Best thing was when she say her best friend is Lisa Vittozzi from Italia. I love Lisa.
@@hannujehkonen2236 Yes she has said it before, too. 😊 She said that she and Lisa are close friends and that it was hard seeing Lisa always sad after races (before Lisa's amazing year this year). I love Lisa, and Ingrid, too so I love that all three of them are close friends.
De tous les athlètes français du moment Julia Simon est ma préférée. Sur la piste c'est une lionne qui ne lâche rien, pouvant même trouver des ressources physiques incroyables dans un dernier tour. Et puis en dehors de la compétition elle redevient une personne comme tout le monde. Top!

I think even with her success this season she is very down to earth. I like people who don't change after being successful. That's very rare to see. I wish her the best of luck for the rest of the season and I'm looking foreward to the next one!

Julia has the ability to warm my heart with her cute accent and make me smile. It's great that she works with Marie-Laure Brunet. I think Marie could help Emilien with his emotional intelligence as well. I really loved Sandrine Bailly and Julia will be the perfect successor of her in the history of biathlon when Julia wins the World Cup Total Score on Sunday. 💙
I could have not have written better words and i share the same admiration of Sandrine (she's my fav biathlete, yes, ahead of Martin, Raph, Corine Niogret, MDH, and of course Anne Briand). Also spot on about the comparison between Julia and Emilien, knowing Julia managed to change what she had to in order to perform while Emilien does not seem to want to commit to anything like this
But i still think the closest to Sandrine is Justine, even though the shooting is still up and down (but we will see, Tiril figured it out after a few seasons).
Assuming you are bulgarian (sorry if i am wrong), where it next iliev (and yes i notived some youngsters in junior competitions but who is the most promising ?)?
@@rogercoffeeaddict6926, yes, I am Bulgarian. I really adore Justine. When I met her in Pokljuka 3 years ago I got in her way in order to take a picture with her, although she was in a hurry to leave Slovenia, she stopped 😍
From our Bulgarian team: Vladimir Iliev's fiancee Milena Todorova is our biggest rising star. Amongst the youngers there are Blagoy Todev, Valentina Dimitrova and Lora Hristova.
I have to add that in December I went with friends to Le Grand Bornand and we managed to take a picture with our favourite Raphael Poiree. The other spectators probably did not recognise him but when when we did, we run to him, he got scared and shocked at first. 😆😆😆

A great weekend to come for Julia Simon in Oslo Holmenkollen
Je regarde presque toutes les courses de biathlon depuis 3/4 saisons. En la suivant, course après course, je pensais que Julia avait l'étoffe pour arriver à quelque chose de grand. J'ai vécu ses joies et ses frustrations et vraiment cette année c'est déjà ? enfin ? l'affirmation d'une grande championne ! Je pense déjà à la saison prochaine qui pourrait être incroyable avec Julia, Marte et Ingrid, les soeurs Oeberg, Doro et Lisa, Denise, et peut-être aussi des outsiders ou d'autres jeunes athlètes qui vont s'affirmer. Ce sport est un spectacle génial !

@@camilleancona112 Yup, just mentioned the ones you mentioned. But Anaïs is definitely the one whose retirement I dislike the most; she is one of my favourites. I'm especially going to miss her smile (not in an odd way) and what she brings to the French team😢 She's the 2nd best woman so her absence will definitely be felt

I like her a lot more after this. It’s kind of like Lisa Vittozzi where the more chilled out people that you don’t necessarily immediately warm to when you just see the athlete are the ones you really relate to, in my case anyway as an introvert. It’s easy for anyone with any personality type to gravitate towards people like Wierer or Roiseland who are especially outgoing and laugh a lot in interviews and so on. So it’s nice to see beyond what they do when in action. Otherwise you might never know which athletes are your kind of people. But it can also be a double edged sword. A lot of times I find out about athletes more personal lives and interests, and wish I had just remained focused only on their outstanding athletic performance and nothing else.
