Solo in Russia's Most Criminal State

  • In deepest Siberia, on the border with Mongolia, there is a little known region of Russia that is called Tuva Republic. In Russia, Tuva is known as the most criminal region of the country. After the breakup of the USSR a number of crimes were committed in this remote part of the country.
    However, this video is not about criminal rates. It's about hospitality of people, beauty of nature and interesting urban sites. I traveled across Tuva by hitchhiking in summer 2022 safe and sound. I documented my journey in this "most criminal region of Russia" with the purpose to show real life in rural Russia, life in Siberia.
    Enjoy.

      Yeah tuvas murder rate was about 80-90 per 100k people per year for a long time. To put it in persepective the u.k. Is not even 1 per 100k andits likely many of those murders were never reported in tuva.. Russia records murders as a crine with a body and a foul play suspect...

      Only Native American people have substantial genetic problem. Differences in tolerance levels are also influenced by socio-economic and cultural difference including diet, average body weight and patterns of consumption.

    • @manchagojohnsonmanchago6367
      @manchagojohnsonmanchago6367 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@_robustus_ its nothing genetic that is nonsence and a poor excuse fir insabe behavior there only ethnicities of people in this world that show any genetic sort of distinct reaction to alcohol i can think of are some chinese japanese, koreans.. Vietnamese.. They get a sort of allergic reaction to it and becone very flused like a sunburn, in some parts of china its very common other parts not.. "asian flush" it probably also means they get drunk faster, but it dosnt make them behave in any unushal or sinister way.. Just turn red like a lobster

    I have an idea for you: i my opinion the "best" adventures you made are the rides on the big freight trains on trannsib BAM and to nishni bestjach... i just love those big trains, the sound and how you make the videos ... what about making an ASMR while you ride ... of course you cannot capture every kilometer on video because of night etc.. but you could capture the train sound ... just let a microphone run all the time ... this is awesome i think ... just hear the train da dam da dam ... may be you can try it 😉

    This is perhaps the best travel video I can remember watching. The Tuvan throat singing (I think) in the background with the gorgeous scenery which you captured so well . . . all just excellent. Surely I'll watch your other videos. What a treat to see a landscape that's not polluted with church steeples. Instead, a pleasant Buddhist environment. Tuva is something of a very special place which I've read and heard about in the past. The great Richard Feynman was somehow interested in and connected to this area.
