If that's true, that was an extremely evil thing for him to do. It also shows how pathetic Marvel writers had become.
The Stark Maneuver from the cinematic universe is the most brilliant strategy devised by any Super Hero. He couldn’t get the Gauntlet off of Thanos, so he developed a nano tech Gauntlet to reabsorb the Infinity Stones off the Gauntlet. So smart it goes over WhatCulture’s head as they still don’t understand exactly what he did.

If you think that’s cool. Watch Infinity war when Iron Man is about to confront Ebony maw for the 1st time. He takes off his sunglasses, and they absorb into his armored glove on his right hand. Just like he’ll absorb the Thanos Gauntlet back into this armor at the end of EndGame. He says to Banner “Nano tech, you like it?” Foreshadowing. 😎

In Civil War(the comics)He downloaded data on "every punch Cap had thrown" in order to completely go toe to toe with Captain.
Wish he could've done that in the MCU CW but the plot was against that. Also it was a Cap movie.
He also did that in the movie (Civil War) towards the end of the fight

Superior Iron Man is the best version of Tony Stark and Iron Man. it shows how, with all moral restraints removed, Tony Stark/Iron Man could be one of the most dangerous characters in all of Marvel. He just typically doesn't put all his mental effort into f***ing everyone up.

The suit isn't iron. Depending on the armor it's a gold/titanium alloy. He also has suits with non magnetic alloys

Ferromagnetic* alloys. All metals can be magnetized manually. But, yeah in some iterations Magneto can only affect natural magnets but regardless of how his abilities were depicted in that specific case, their point was that he used carbon nanotubes or graphene which is non metallic

Green Arrow doesn't have super powers, and is a millionaire vigilante. However he's typically compared to Hawkeye.
Ok so some other similarities that they have can be that tgey both are considered geniuses in their respective universe, that along with dead parents (i dont wanna count the dead parents thing though bc that is basically a common poster for heros in general) and being prepared and willing to take down some people who they work with. I also can't forget that they both jave some sorta butler. So in my opinion, saying people who believe that batman and iron man aren't alike due to there not being many thing they have alike is kinda dumb, because they do have quite a lot of similarities.

Beating the Annihilation Wave, the Shi'ar Empire in Hickman's Time Runs Out is easily his most impressive feat.

Lets not also forget that in superior iron man when pepper tries to stop him in his endo-sym suit, she attempts to outsmart him by using a symbiotes weakness and totally fails because tony says "you think i'd build a suit like this without first taking out its major design flaw?"... in other words, tony was smart enough to make a technology that basically removes all the downsides of having a symbiote. And everyone who's ever worn a symbiote probably would have killed for that ability.

@@Humblemumble7 This is one of those side story comics of things going on during AvX.
Tony went to challenge Magneto and had suit specially made to fight him so Magneto couldn't use his abilities against the metal suit. So he used different materials and technology against him.
Tony got his shots in, but for the most part Magneto had the upper hand even with all of Tony's preparation.
Magneto then got distracted because he felt the magnetic field of a planet being destroyed by the Phoenix and he pretty much stopped fighting and Tony flew away. And even Tony in his mental reflection realized he got away easy.
Also, this was at a point where Magneto was weaker than he normally is.

The time Tony's brain started deteriorating so he became too dumb to use his cutting edge suits. Worked his way backward through his suits while Osbourne hunted him around the world until he finally got all the way back to the Mk 1 only to reveal that Tony had planned for it right back to this point as Osbourne defeats him wearing the Iron patriot armour only for the cameras and thus the world to catch him more or less fighting a vegetable ruining his credibility.
How did that end? Is that what got Osborn removed from HAMMER?

Tony is so brilliant, he even outsmarts himself! Honestly, that's what I always liked about Iron Man Comics. Sure, I liked the Mandarin (Even though he was a negative Chinese stereotype) Iron Man is so self defeating, he is his own worst enemy. He's the Brain, and plays his own Pinky too! If it weren't for him, he would have taken over the world by now. (Also, he's cooler than Reid, and Hank Pym, who also have that same critical flaw.)
You guys maybe forgetting mcu Tony was in a way kind and all but from the comics is more sarcastic and kinda in a mean way like when he had extremis he became very uncaring

I recently just became a huge Iron Man fan thanks to RDJ's performance portraying the character and I want to get into a few Iron Man comics but I don't know the good or the best one's. Whenever I read the comics I never trusted Iron Man. The MCU version is the only one I’d work with. What do some of you think?
That's kind of the point you want to listen to iron man because he is one of the smartest men in the world but at the same time he is also one of the most flawed. He also has a way of making the best decision with the smallest amount of moral thought. Like when he was the director of shield yeah he made these awesome super prisons but they were also hell holes that people rather kill themselves than return to

Bringing tony back my detract from what his sacrifice meant if he had a plan to cover it; going the 'detached AI' route might be a better compromise, like a guiding hand for the next generation rather than trying to come back.

The smartest version of iron man is the digital verion of him stored in the Hypervelocity suit, also called Tony Ghost. He is probably on par with Ultron when it comes to intellect. Read Iron man Hypervelocity. He would have become something close to a functional divinity but was (probably) destroyed by a nuclear bomb. Still his sofware keeps evolveing essentially making him capable of moving as fast as quicksilver and think many times faster than any human.

Two things: first, Iron Man would never be able to defeat Doctor Doom. That's ridiculous. Doctor Doom is on par with Reed Richards, and both men are more intelligent than Tony Stark.
Secondly, Dr. Doom would never need to steal from Tony Stark. Doom has created entirely new technologies on his own, has almost limitless resources, and his ego would never allow him to rely on someone else's ideas. So, that was a stupid plot point.

Tony Stark doesent just outsmart, he learns from his mistakes.
For example, in Civil War, Ant Man managed to get his way into Tony’s armour and disable one of his hand repulsers, making it ultimately useless.
In Infinity War however, he created the nano-tech suit, therefore learning from that moment in Civil War by creating a suit that no one can get into, big or small.
For people that claim comic knowledge, stating that Wolverine could take out his X-Men colleagues, is the dumbest sentence anyone at Whatculture has ever spoken.
The 2006 Invincible Iron Man run where he originally backed up his mind and deleted his entire brain was 10x better than the one in the 1# spot

I don’t think the Hulkbuster Armor debuted in Iron Man #300. I have that issue, it’s the issue where Tony debuts the Modular Armour that he uses for most of the 90s (and in the cartoon, MvC games, etc).
I think it was around #304-307. It was the one time the Hulkbuster didn't outright fail.

the only hulk buster that worked perfectly is the superior ironman endo sym armor bulked up to hulkbuster levels of buff. I mean, the base endosym was able to ko she-hulk in one slap so...

He's a king, with captain america powers, he's the 8th smartest guy under Tony but Tony consider him and Reed one of the best brilliant minds on the team. Black panther even beat Tony twice in comics, he stopped his heart. The other time Tony had his plastic suit and got beat. Tony's MCU version is far better then the comic book version.
