I totally agree, I have 4 years of experience and until past year I never took part in a roll-out project. Since then, I'm learning a lot with consultants of more than 15 years of experience in the client and SAP, implementing across Europe, so it is an ideal situation to start.
@@AbdullahGalal well, I guess it's always a matter of being luck where you end up, but I think rollouts are a chance to learn a lot and to take advantage of it!
I have done 2 role out projects By taking one of the company code where SAP already implemented and extended to 6 company codes in two sets 4+2 This is very good experience when you have SAP knowledge, full enduser experience and your first two projects are rollouts and completed them in 1 year on top your are leading one or two topic like asset accounting and open item upload Also back to back clearing UAT queries
We are doing a rollout in South America using the North America template...or at least that was the initial idea. The project changed from rollout to implementation due to the processes were 100% different from the headquarters.
Unless you work in consultancy, you can't really pick and choose between Implementation or roll out projects. For newbies, first understand end to end business processes, learn how to agile methodology works in general and you will be 75% there.
Even if you work in consultancy, you usually don't get to choose, it's a match done by the consultancy management that considers resource availability, experience, best fit ..etc
Hi, I am learning about SAP. Your videos are super informative and helpful. Can you help me to answer this 2 questions that I don't understand :( a) Company is running SAP S/4HANA implementation project with external consulting company and willing to go live 1st Jan 2023? From timing perspective, when to create such master data in the SAP system? b) Company is using SAP S/4HANA since 2 years and planning to have organisational restructuring having impact on the cost center definitions starting with 31th March 2023. What is your recoomendation as an SAP consultant to manage such a change request; when and how to create new cost centers, what to do with existing cost center master data (delete?) ?
Abdullah, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’d say you actually had an exceptional situation when you were a junior consultant which had opportunity with precious & previllage situation which I believe your case is just 1 of 1000 sap Project implementation on earth. I have been delivering sap solutions for about 20 years now and deploying solutions in 3 continents incl. at least 10+ countries, BUT never had that privilege situation which you had, getting Knowledge Transfer from a matured Global consultant and shared the matured solution for global rollout team. Given for people who never had that chance/opportunity like you had - the path to success unfortunately much for complex and difficult, but with perseverance there is always a way to reach your goals which I believe I do that path, incl. meeting you and subscribed on your channel. Thanks a lot for making this channel. However, I also meet too many people, especially the social media generations mostly wanted an instant results
Agree, It's a tough career to grow in (correctly) , many people just keep doing same mistakes and implementing same outdated solutions giving bad image about SAP abilities! In any project there's always a lot to learn and a lot to gain, I want people to know that rollout projects give very valuable experience same like implementations, some people just underestimate them!

it depends on the business process ... many cases, the roll out has different BP than the HQ ... other things, most RICEF have a specified requirement for each roll out .... the most issue is each team have agendas (BPO HQ, BPO Roll Out, IT HQ, Local Cons) ... for me, it is better do implementation that roll out 😀
It's true everyone has a different agenda, too much politics 😄, what I like in Rollouts is the company already have some knowledge about SAP, helps getting things right from the first time
@@AbdullahGalal as I said, that i like more implementation on a new company than roll out, coz it takes less agenda and no involvement of HQ ... an for me, it is easier to drive the user, as it is a new system ... sometimes HQ with knowledge SAP is too much involve and coz confuse for the local cons and the user roll out it self ... it happened in my only roll out and it coz a mess ... 😅

Looks like we're both very lucky! I see from the comments that rollouts were not very useful to others

great experience! you have both the sides here, a full new implementation but with a business team that understands what's SAP and how it works
لو سمحت كنت عايزة اسال حضرتك ايه مواصفات اللاب اللي اشترى علشان استخدم عليه نظام الERP ؟؟ سواء كان Oracle or SAP
Crisp and clear explanation, nothing more to say 👍🏼
Much appreciated!
