It sounds need but there is nothing that will beat an W211 straight pipe V12. That thing sounded like a cigarette boat and even at 20 yard's it vibrated my whole chest. Took me 10 years to find out it was not the most mental V8 i have ever heard.
I'm a fan of V8 N/A from Mertz but also the 6L v12 is a must have one too. Mercedes have something special with exhaust pipes that makes sounds alot different from other cars which is a unique thing .

If you want it to sound more like an F1 car you should see a custom fabricator about getting equal length headers. It's pretty pricey but damn it makes it scream. I got a quote for a W220 S65 a decade ago and it was around $4k usd plus I'd possibly need an engine out so I decided against it and I also like the sleeper feel of the car but it's definitely a super sweet option if you're going for loud and crazy.
It's awesome that you're enjoying the fruits of your labor...good for you. I will say that to me the Mercedes Benz S63/S65 AMG represents elegance, prestige, exclusivity, and refinement (suit and tie) with plenty of power on tap. Now...not so much (jeans and T-shirt), obviously it's only my view. Enjoy your car.
I feel the same way about my car (S63AMG Cab), but I respect what Mike is doing - he is doing what he likes (and his viewers) and that's cool. But mine is practically silent for a lot of my driving, until I decide to drop her in sport and let it rip. Funny thing is that the car is so used to me being super chill that the tranny has learned that and expects it. I have to go into manual and get some revs going if I want speed.
