The days when Jessica Ettinger did “The Next Stop Is” and “This Is” announcements. Now it’s Diane Thompson that does it; synced with the 1, 2, and 3 train announcements.
Yeah, the MTA turned the IRT announcements specifically on Lexington Avenue and Flushing into a cacophony of different voices all making just one announcement.
They should bring back Melissa Kleiner’s announcements if they’re not gonna reinstate Jessica’s “The Next Stop Is” announcement anytime soon. Hopefully the MTA still has the Melissa and Jessica announcements sitting on a hard drive somewhere in their yards or offices.
Back when Melissa voiced the 5 train in the early 2000s, Diane’s “The Next Stop Is” and “This Is” announcements were used outside of Manhattan. So in a way the change in announcements is a throwback to how they sounded in the early 2000s, but still I miss Jessica’s “The Next Stop Is” and “This Is”.
It used to be so much fun while Jessica voiced the announcements. Because she no longer records them Dianne and Charlie have taken over and they make Lexington boring.
The NTT's were out of storage, so they had to take away such announcements. They even used Dianne's "The next stop is..." and "This is..." announcements before putting Jessica's station announcement.
I miss Jessica's transfer announcement.
Same
Me too my favorite station announcement she did on the 5 line is Morris Park she put her voice out on that one
kills me they got rid of them.

Jessica should do them all. She’s got the sharpest and quickest voice. She’s also louder and audible than the others.

that’s a possibility but nah they not doing it

They need to bring Jessica’s announcements back
Unfortunately, they won't. Theyve been erased from the IRT computers.

@@dollartree207streetyard2 I thought I was the only one who thought that I hate that Jessica’s voice is basically gone
@@pjay9875 No sir
@@dollartree207streetyard2 the mta is always messing something up sadly
Please do 2 train announcements
Is there a reason y the MTA took away Jessica's Grand Central and her transfer announcements?
I honestly don't know anymore
The NTT's were out of storage, so they had to take away such announcements. They even used Dianne's "The next stop is..." and "This is..." announcements before putting Jessica's station announcement.
So they can't just like delete some announcement they don't use or something?
2: this is a Manhattan bound 2 train⭐️🌃💐✨

Her “this is a Manhattan bound 5 train” is 🤌🏾👨🏾🍳
I love it but i admit I love "This is a manhattan bound 4 train" more. stronger emphasis on the 4 sounding like owns identity (sounds silly I'm sure)
