    Keep in mind this is just what I look for and I may be missing a bit, so feel free to share any other items to look out for when thrifting 🤍

    Beauty and fashion is never complete without your own personal money. I am a 28 year old girl, I can proudly say that I earn passively. it's the best thing a young girl can do

      There are many ways to make money online, I make about 4500e a week from the trading market. Mr.Larry Kent Nick saved me a lot of embarrassment financially. Larry made me realize that trading is just a gamble if you don't have a profitable strategy. with his strategy, putting money doesn't feel like betting to me, I call it a successful investment.

    Hi! Love the vid there are some really good tips there.
    As a Stylist I always tell clients to wear either a full or half slip under dresses & skirts. First, it avoids the see-through effect & second, a slip helps any textile on top of it to sit smoothly & give a more feminine look. Hope this helps ☺️

    that white dress was sooo pretty on you!! very 1940s sportswear which is my aesthetic lol. maybe consider thrifting or buying (online) a vintage nylon or silk dress slip just in case you come across a similar situation in the future. they're usually very affordable too! i wear mostly vintage pieces and a lot of the dresses you come across are made of more see-through materials because undergarments were worn differently back then.

    For thrifting online, in addition to knowing your sizes for your favorite brands, I found it also helps to just know your measurements in inches. Bust measurements, the most flattering length for shirts and tops for you, waist measurements, and preferred pant and short inseams will save you so much time!

    It’s really important to Thrift and the right areas. The church mouse in Palm Beach is the fabulous store and they have wonderful home things. I wouldn’t say their prices are Goodwill level but it’s a worthwhile and fun place to shop. There’s some great places in New York City. Again the area means everything. Good job!

    That Goodwill you were at looked nice and clean. The Goodwills where I live makes one look for a fumigation station. 😷 The thought of trying on clothes there gives me the shivers. 🙀

      one of them was decent but I did have a pretty traumatizing experience at one goodwill though and now I refuse to buy pants used from anywhere 😭

    The sporty dress you show at 11:20 in white or navy - I immediately see the 50+ years old French lady going out to a fashionable "resto" for lunch with her banker husband. You are right, it stinks money, but you are too young :D The linen dress is perfect!!

    2:00 Sorry, why do you think tweed is more unsustainable than wool or cashmere? Tweed is a weave, not a fiber, and it's usually made from wool, sometimes from cotton. Wool can be unsustainable because of methane emisions, and then so is tweed.

    • @justlanchen
      @justlanchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just basing it off of the 2022 articles I read online

    • @justlanchen
      @justlanchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think its because an increasing number of tweed now consists of blends of wool and rayon, or wool and man-made fibers.
      Again, just basing it off of what I've read but I'd love for you to share any helpful articles to inform me further!

    • @LisaOuwersloot
      @LisaOuwersloot ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I wondered about this too, tweed is just wool (or wool blends) in a different weave. That’s like saying a satin weave cotton is less sustainable than a plain weave cotton. And wool blends (or other blends) aren’t a new invention, we’ve been blending fabrics since the 12th century.
      Blending is done to make a fabric either stronger, softer, more pleasant to wear, easier to wash, warmer or cooler, and just for prettiness.

      My fave is a wool/silk blend, but you rarely see it any longer.

    Yes very helpful. Great video and great tips. I really adore that wide striped top. I love the old money asthethic look. I love your style. How tall are you? What is your Kibbe Body Type? Do you know your season? Are these things that you consider when shopping? I am a True Spring and have such difficulties finding my colours when out of season. I find neutrals to be so boring when I wear them. Keep up the great work.

      Same here hahahaha I love my palette, and you know, the thrift store is perfect to find our colours, because they're not influenced by fashion now, so you can find any variation of colour :)

    I would just call this classic style or pieces without getting into inherited wealth, especially if one is buying them at the thrift store... literally opposite ends of the money and approaches to life spectrum. The white dress was beautiful on you... just needed a white or beige slip.

      I agree with getting a slip; it's a simple fix. I've noticed over the years that I guess many young women don't wear skirt or dress slips. This is coming from a young woman btw.

    It is much easier to thrift great things when you are tiny. Most women were a size 6 sometime in their lives, but gained weight. There are slim pickings in more average sizes.
