  • The queen of hearts is an iconic villain and recreating her outfit was so much fun and didn't require any sewing!! With pounds of tulle and some ribbon you have her skirt! Add a black shirt and you are good to go! Want to add even more fun touches? I'll show you how to make her crown, scepter, and even a collar made of playing cards! Enjoy the video and happy making!!
    Stay tuned for a DIY Mad hatter costume! I'll link it here when it's uploaded!

    Just realized I never told you how I did with this costume! Well I learned a great tip, spray watered down fabric softener on the tulle to make it smooth down...lifesaver! Anyway, I made the skirt, and glued some cards on a black top, and got 1st place! It was so much fun and everyone was really impressed. Thanks again for this video!

      That's amazing and what a great idea to spray the tulle with fabric softener! Congratulations on getting 1st place!

      Looks great and congrats on first place! Any ideas for the king who’s going to the Purim party with the queen 😉?

    This is so amazingly easy to follow. I have a company casino night on Friday for the longest night to end Alzheimers. I was having such a difficult time finding something that I would be comfortable in. I'm so happy to start creating. I will change the red hearts to purple. Thank you for sharing. Please continue to share.

    This is amazing! How did you get the collar to stand up in the back?

    • @AdventuringFoodie
      @AdventuringFoodie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because I glued the cards in a u shape they naturally stood up when tied around her neck. I didn't add anything special.

    How much tulle would you recommend

    • @AdventuringFoodie
      @AdventuringFoodie  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It will depend on the size of the skirt you're making, but we ended up using almost 3, 10 yard rolls.

    How much tule did it take to make this size dress? I'm imagining like a lot?

    • @AdventuringFoodie
      @AdventuringFoodie  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it definitely took a lot! We used 2 100 yard rolls of 6" wide red, 1 25 yard roll of white, and just a little big of gold.
