Time of Plenty: the Big Rain - Go Wild

  • Nowhere else in the world is there such a natural abundance of large animals as in the savannah landscape of East Africa. But wildebeest, cheetah and gazelle are also vulnerable to the changing climate. The savannahs endure months of drought that kills many animals, followed by long and heavy rains that flood the land and cause dry riverbeds to swell into torrents. Arid, ocher land turns into lush green plains.

The intelligent and scientific comments on what makes the weather cycles in the tropics on both sides of the Equator was the most informed and clearly presented that I have ever heard. This type of information would have helped the people of Europe during the recent Heat Wave and lack of rain they have suffered through. The Mediterranean Climate is Sub Tropical and subject to drought and a lot of heat and sometimes this weather pattern moves north and stays over parts of Europe.
