How they going to sort this out? Even if they grow trees. How they going to stop houses from going up between the trees? The eviction rules are weak. The trespass rules are weak. There go thousands of jobs. Free land free trespassing free squatting chaos will reign as this sets a dangerous precedent. Especially for business investors where thousands of jobs are being stopped by illegal squatters.

People need land to build their homes...if planting a forest is going to displace people...then don't plant the forest..build what is going to improve people's lives...

@@truth-Hurts375 I think the solution is planning. We have enough land. The government owns enough land to build houses on and give to people. But it needs proper infrastructure and roads. Then the people also need title deeds to say they own their own land. This was done I think during Mbeki s term quite successfully but I don't believe the current government has the will, the organisational skill and don't think there are skilled trained people to do this and the money. It feels quite hopeless because the government owns alot alot of land.

What an ignorant fool, how dare you place jobs above land! What’s the point of a job if you don’t have the most basic need such as water, electricity, roads, schools, clinics, housing, etc these people are suffering and they need help, you’re out here worried about white investors are you insane!

This idea of improving a country by building infrastructure and not improving people's living standards is not working...you end up with infrastructure that has more value than people...buildings and bridges are supposed to give value to people...not the other way around...

Ya ne go an do that and see how it turns out. Played by a coloured leader for self gain. Now they silent
Also I see no stats about foreigners being land invaders except if sleeping in mines now go as land invasion... Most news report locals saying they get rent from foreigners as locals say their entitled to land. Having a Zim gardener while permits allow it he stays in a decent place with even a self study room that's no invasion. Weird to defend foreigners but reality over superstition.

They got backing to commit illegal stuff by politicians who now stay silent since their votes are not required anymore. Killed by a coloured leader IRONY!... Reality is they were illegal and now that illegal activity will stops job creation. Sad to trust politicians COVID desperation

@@Gee7470 No I disagree. I don't have land, never have. If i want land i have to buy it not just take it??? What is wrong this country's mindset. Have had to get jobs all my life to pay bills as in rent, electricity, food etc. etc. And when there is no money or job then you have to make plan, but illegal land invasion, unacceptable. If people are entitled to free land then that should be applied across the board. This is pure illegal land invasion nothing more nothing less

I don't think anyone is really opposed to what they wanna do, but this isn't the wild west however where you just do as you pls. We live in desperate times, no thanx to this government and those who vote them in. It would just be better off, if these people just negotiated to come to agreeable terms to make it easier for everyone. But instead we today in SA now fight and fuff over things we claim is historically ours. I don't mind that, but it isn't any less primitive and regressive. Like we are evolving, but just backwards. I for one could care less what my people used to own, we focus on what we build for the future.

whatever jobs available here or created like they so say gets filled by people mainly from eastern cape and limpopo, just like universities and schools, anc left the eastern cape in a bad way due to corruption, now they coming over here but its also a strategic move from government, majority government jobs here are filled with black first and from other provinces so to get a majority anc vote in the western cape
