YOU’RE A PRINCESS The ballroom looked like any other stereotypical ballroom for a palace, marble floors and gold-plated walls with pillars all over. You swing unenthusiastically with masked disappointment, the man that has your arm is so dull, just like every other prince your father has tried to set you with. You step and spin to each strum, knowing this song with muscle memory at this point. As you let your mind wander, the music slowly fades and morphs to your own beat, own rhythm and suddenly the room is distorting with each added beat. You feel the music pick you up, as if you were in the air, you feel weightless and suddenly you’re in your own world. You can feel your body dancing, but you can also feel yourself slowly being released to the ground. You’re back to the lilac field, the endless field of different shades of a brilliant purple, where the sky is always blue and the sun doesn’t burn. You can feel your stress and anxiety fade and you feel weightless, as though a burden has been lifted off your shoulders You feel the urge to run, run from this life. Run, and just keep running. Your Gown sways as you take off down the field, and you don’t see an end, you can keep running for as long as your can. Until you feel tired, until you need to drop down and catch your breath. As time goes on you can feel your heart racing, and you let yourself slow to a stop. Breathlessly, You let yourself drop down into the lilac field, listening to the wind sway the flowers. The music plays in the background of your mind, and you lay amongst the lilac filled with an odd sense of calm and content. This is beautiful, and you feel beautiful. The violin fills your senses with a rush of happy, and you let yourself let out a giggle, that turns into pure laughing. Suddenly you are pulled, and your body suddenly gets crushed with its own weight and the ground you were laying on mere seconds ago disappeared and you’re falling down. You blink back into focus, and you realize the song has stopped and your happy place is gone, and you’re back in his arms, in this boring ballroom, dancing. Your world is gone, pulled away from you so heartlessly. He lets go of you and you feel relief wash over you, to finally be free from his grasp. You excuse yourself from the room, and make your way up to the balcony. You walk up the steps, holding the gown above your steps. You can hear the music playing, your father’s calls for you growing more and more distant as you leave. You open up the doors to the balcony, however, instead of being alone, there’s someone there. You can’t help but notice how this someone is so utterly breathtaking.
POV: You stand on the hill as you watch your kingdom burn to the ground. You turn around with a tear in your eye to see them standing there a sinister smirk on their face. You wanna hit them but kiss them at the same time. They put their hand out. Either you keep fighting for nothing or join their side. You turn back to your kingdom then back to them. (Take their side 1st paragraph) (Fight to the death 2nd paragraph) 1. You put your hand into them and feel the power and fame. You smile as they smile back. They pull you into their arms and spin you. You dance until the kingdom is nothing but ash. You are now not on a queen/king/ruler but a villain of your own people. Was it the right decision? No. But it sure did feel right. 2. You pull your dagger from your pocket. Then own your lover had given you before you watched them burn in the fire. You would fight for them and for what this person has stolen from you. You stabbed them in the side. They stared at you and slowly tried to grab you. You pulled away and watched them fall to the ground. You waited until you saw them take their last breath to pull your dagger out. You looked at the reflection of your eyes in the blood covered blade and saw the kingdom burning behind you. This was truly it.

One opponent was named Coda, and the other opponent was named Peter. “Are you... sure about doing this?” Coda was having doubts about this as he gripped the dagger in his hand. “If you want the truth out of me, then no. If you want a lie, then yes.” Peter quickly twirled the dagger in their hand, and the other started to feel their heart rate rise. “I know that you’re not ready, but... people have been waiting for this duel for ages. We don’t want to disappoint them, do we?” They started to circle around each other while Peter had a smirk on his face. He had a plan, but it all depended on his opponent. “I think I have a way to please them. Do you know how to act well?” Once Coda began to get quiet, Peter carried the conversation with a question. Taking a deep breath,the boy stared at the mirror. A hand traced the intricate vine-like designs of the frame of the smooth surface as he stared into the mirror,contemplating with nervousness pounding in his heart.
Through the mirror,he saw the strange yet familiar face staring back at him. Soft blue hues glinted an alluring shade,with his left eye turning a shade of deep navy blue for a brief moment.
'He's listening .'
The boy thought,hearing a faint chuckle linger in his mind.
' 𝐼'𝑚 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑏𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔.'
A ghost-like whisper echoed in his mind as his reflection spoke on their own. The reflection remained still,mimicking movements of their human counterpart,yet their eyes were navy blue,a drowning abyss filled with mystery.
“ You know what's coming tonight,Hyde."
The boy spoke softly. Tonight was the night for the War between students and those that overstepped their boundaries from the Depths of the Sacred Woods.
The East Side of Eden,as people called it.
A war of magic and capabilities beyond any human's imagination.
“𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒,𝐼 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤.”
Hyde scoffed,the reflection's lips curling up into a cold sneer. Through Jekyll's eyes and experiences,Hyde could see the events that had lead to such an catastrophic situation. He found those decisions rash...but there is no time to lament upon past decisions,for now there is a more important matter to deal with.
“I...I am scared to be honest.”

Hyde motioned as the reflection in the mirror vanished. Instead,a ghost- like presence was felt behind Jekyll,back-to back.
Jekyll smiled lightly,the nervousness easing.
“Just like old times...Jekyll and Hyde.”

There were weapons held in each opponent’s hand. Two daggers each in hand. One opponent was named Coda, and the other opponent was named Peter.
“Are you... sure about doing this?” Coda was having doubts about this as he gripped the dagger in his hand.
“If you want the truth out of me, then no. If you want a lie, then yes.” Peter quickly twirled the dagger in their hand, and the other started to feel their heart rate rise.
“I know that you’re not ready, but... people have been waiting for this duel for ages. We don’t want to disappoint them, do we?” They started to circle around each other while Peter had a smirk on his face. He had a plan, but it all depended on his opponent.
“I think I have a way to please them. Do you know how to act well?” Once Coda began to get quiet, Peter carried the conversation with a question. Coda responded to that question with a simple nod.
“You’re not suggesting what I think you’re suggesting, right?” Coda reluctantly asked this question, and Peter began to laugh at that response. Cunning, was he not? More like... confident.
“It depends.” Peter was always donning a smirk with these sorts of things. He was always confident around crowds, which was how he became a musician.
“Then, yes. I am good at acting. What do you need me for?” They circled around each other while having their conversation.
“How about we... put on a little show for them?” Peter held out his dagger by the blade, and he held his weapon out for Coda to grab. This was all part of the plan, after all.
“...Deal.”
“Let’s give them a show.” Peter was left weaponless, and yet... he felt confident as ever with this being his greatest show.

So I have a new D&D character who is a chaotic neutral tiefling bard. She is a violinist and she uses this homebrew spell that is basically shadow clone jutsu from Naruto. Her attacks are music based so I’ve been trying to find as many modern songs with violin covers as I can so I can use it in the D&D sessions as needed. This is super cool btw, I forgot to say!

The bright room gleams ever so slightly with the chandelier on the ceiling. Everyone is dressed up, everyone is having a great time, dancing in the large ballroom. Your dress swishing below you, air blowing in your face. The music behind you is blaring, yet you pay no mind.

Your trying to assassinate your target
They have taken so much from you. Your friends, family, home. No matter where you go, a sinister feeling follows you, wanting revenge for having everything ripped from your life.
You feel nothing as you gracefully move across the floor, a dagger in your hand. Several times you try to pierce their skin but they dodge in the most elegant way possible. You have to focus where their right hand is, a small device held inside, that will put you through endless amounts of agony if touched by your bare skin.
The song only grows louder as you try again and again. Your team watching from the sides as the attacks become more and more aggressive and obvious. Others start to look at you as the music grows near the end. (2:39) Memories of your family flash.
