So, with a couple of MODS, I'm going to find out: You already answered your own damned title = No. No you can't. Because you think you have to use mods to do it. >.< Would have taken Fast Shot instead of wild wasteland. I think there's a perk that has something to do with cowboys that would suit him... but I believe it requires melee. There's also shotgun surgeon if I recall right. I might also have gone small frame, for the extra agility and ap. Howard was never the brawny type. He's not good natured by the point he's known as the ghoul - though there's a fair argument for Skilled. Maybe even twice over. Dude, the north route ISN'T about being a "bitch." They literally put all that shit in your way to tell you NOT to go that way, as you miss a shit ton of things that will give you exp to get through the rest of the game IF you take that route. You CAN take that route... and die badly about a hundred reloads later maybe you will make it to the strip, but you're NOT supposed to. It's the devs being massively heavy-handed. Imagine that. * Wants to roleplay as The Ghoul = puts all of his points int Speech & Medicine. Fuck me... At least take Survival and Thems Good Eatin'. : / Again: Shotgun/ Cowboy/ Knife. He's a COWBOY!!! Not a politician, or a fucking doctor.
For more challenge I will try this with Hardcore Mode and only get healing with cannibalism because "Sometimes a feller's gotta eat a fella." Also iirc there was a MTs-255 mod on Nexus which is The Ghoul's sawed-off shotgun using with slug rounds makes it better too. Thanks for the idea, good video too.
Two other ways to get into the strip is you can take the ncr monorail or you can get a fake passport from mick and Ralph’s, I believe it costs 600 caps which is easier to pay but the easiest is just take the monorail for free although you have to be dressed as a ncr member
there is another way to get into the strip. Either put on some NCR armour and use the monorail or just book it through and fight some of the ncr soilders
I have a theory, In Fallout NV the main character gets shot in the face and survives, so he might de a ghoul, like what happened in the fallout show with the DOS member.
There’s a path you can go in the deathclaw highway that uses blacktop mountain as a straight shoot to NV, when going up black mountain there’s a little path with bear traps and boulders sent to down Indiana jones style. If you dodge those you get a straight shot right into new Vegas. And if you have NCR armor you can wear it and use the monorail skipping freeside, tho I still do the quest for fun
Not trying to be a dick, but this run definitely could be better in some places: 1. The hat choice was on point, but the Bounty Hunter Duster you can get from killing Caleb for Francine (something the ghoul would totally do) would've been better. Or the Sheriff Duster from the former Primm Sheriffs house. It's just not the Ghoul without the badass duster coat. Taking Toughness to offset the lacking armor would've also been in character. 2. Playing on Hardcore and speccing into Survival/using Cannibal would've made it more interesting, surviving by any means necessary is a huge theme in the show. 3. Sticking strictly to Cowboy perk affected weapons, and speccing into things like Shotgun Surgeon and some VATS/Limb Damage perks would limit combat in a fitting way. Dude probably wouldn't roll up on a deathclaw with a grenade launcher. 4. Honestly, the House ending fits better. No way Coop would've gone through all the trouble to sort out Vegas of his own volition. Doing House's work, getting House to pay him and then ditching Vegas would've made more sense (again, bounty hunter mindset). 5. Not sure why you bothered with Speech. Sure, he's got 7 Charisma, but he's way more of a "shoot first, ask questions never" type of person. 6. Not doing the quests to track Benny and going the Deathclaw route is hugely out of character. Bros LITERALLY a tracker. Plus there's plenty of opportunities to do in-character stuff like threatening Jessup or killing/stealing from Manny along the way. Huge missed opportunity imo. Again, not trying to be mean, and you make good vids for sure, but this ones just kinda not great. I mean, if you're doing a character run, go all out!
@@MoodyBlues2077 Honestly I agree with this. I’m not as familiar with Fallout NV as I am with other games like Skyrim so my knowledge of what options I had was definitely lacking. I appreciate the feedback!
Torture Me is such a great song. I was borrowing a friends bass for an afternoon and couldn't quite get it consistent and up to tempo, I should've just got a backing track and done the guitar bit haha I'm better on the 6 string.
Obsidian has literally never made a complete working game on time and on budget. Everything they make is an incomplete buggy mess, or it's delayed to the point that all hype has died. And, fourth option: Buy a fake passport from Mick and Ralph. Fifth option: The Monorail in Camp McCarran.
Tbf, they only had 18 months to make New Vegas and it’s the best 3D Fallout game ever made so I’d say they earned their reputation. Yeah it’s a buggy mess but it’s literally so good you can look past it, in my opinion at least.
Obsidian made a buggy but incredibly in depth rpg in 18 months Bethesda made a buggy and boring loot and shooter with years of development behind it Yes Obsidian has a reputation of Over promise and delivers JUST enough but Bethesda chugs out mediocrity after mediocrity with absolutely no excuse for their unpolished state and instead of learning from Obsidian they just copied without knowing why it worked You don't even need to just look at their fallout games, starfield is another if not even better example
takes a hit from a deathclaw in leather armor what difficulty was this on? In Elite Riot Gear, a DT implant, and rank 2 toughness I can't take more than one to two hits from a deathclaw on Very Hard
No you can't due to the TV series and its retcons you will require a constant supply of a new chem to keep you sane which you must take once every 24 hours. And there is no way goodsprings has enough of supply of that chem to keep you from becoming feral during the early game. In other words you are guranteed to become feral if the retcons the show has made to ghouls and how they function are to be taken seriously as well.
To be honest, i hate special stats that bethesda released for Ghool. They are totaly wrong. His highest stat should be luck (survivad apocalips and 200 years after that), then goes agility (gunslinger), then endurance (did you what he survived in the show?). Everything else is mid to low. Charisma is dub stat. People conflict real world and in universe with that one. From our perspective he's really charismatic, but in universe he is shunned, so 1-3 max.
Stop Using Rudy enb. New vegad Reloaded is much better it has better shadows and it works indoors you dont need the sun for shadows. Just dowloand the file and drag and Drop it in your mo2
Thanks for this! After doing some research half way through the run I found out that ENB's are very buggy for 3 and New Vegas, so I just deleted it entirely. I'll try out Reloaded next time

You dont need to actually pay 2000 caps, you just need to have 2000 caps to get into the strip.
Ah that makes sense!

Pretty sure the ghouls revolver is a sawed off revolving shotgun,so basically a magnum that packs 12 guage rounds.
It's a Mts. 255 shotgun

Playing as the Ghoul makes you feel feo, fuerte y formal.
Every time I see a New Vegas video it reminds me that it’s such a good game
Bounty hunter's duster will suit you more
The Jschlatt video at 9:56 lol, Schlagg is holding on for dear life
Why does no one ever use camp mcarren train to get to the strip sure you have to fight 2 NCR but then you can just get in the strup
The Ghoul has an interesting story, excited to see the second season of the tv show.
I have done Fallout 4 as a challenge run as a ghoul over using a console mod for PS4. it was extremely useful over the glowing sea.

Nice vid . Keep up the good work and just watched some of the skyrim videos an i got to say you sir is a very honest man .
Thank you :)
The description of the ghoul is just a description of Dutch Van Der Linde
In my headcanon Coop knows Raul from his vaquero days
Pretty good guitar solo there
I'll be streaming very soon! Should be starting by the time you finish watching this :)
you know its a good day when zeke uploads
you can also use the railway to get into the strip
"up in the air if ghouls have to eat or not",doesn't he kill some dude to eat him in the first season?
Yup he does, either he forgot or he didnt want to bother playing hardcore which is understandable haha
Maybe woulda went survival as a starting tag skill, but otherwise this looks fun!
You can get in through the ncr monarail if you are on good terms with them
There's a sheriff duster in primm which is similar
If you went that way
Worth the spoilers
Fun video. I like playing Fallout but never watch Fallout videos.
This was really fun to watch. Nice job 👍👍
thank you :)
Bro, was just listening to chuckle Sandwich while recording this video lol 9:55
This is a welcome to another fallout channel ill be binging
a 4th option to get into the strip is to take the monorail from the NCR base.
You can also get a passport from mick & Ralph’s for 500 caps
Proceeds to show a video of someone playing bass
There’s a mod for the ghoul's gun, I’m using it rn in my play through
Oh really? Damn i should of got that
Seems pretty viable actually, for a non-Legion playthrough at least.
I've never used the mod but maybe it could auto set you to vilified with the brotherhood and legion and fail their quests
