By coincidence, I happen to be reading the artist's way at the minute so when I saw you were doing this video series I got really excitied ! It's nice to see others going through this process too. I might talk about my experiences on my own channel, you've inspired me !
Art galleries make me so anxious... I always end up feeling like less-than, like I'll never master art to the point where any of my creations are *that* good.
In Girl Scouts we would put peanut butter on celery and dot it with raisins. It was called Ants on a Log. 🙃 I've done The Artists Way three times and I always learn something new. I love artists dates. There aren't a lot of places around here to go to so sometimes I just go on a walk and take my sketchbook with me. I've never been in a big gallery with a lot of people in my 61 years so I can just imagine it is overstimulating!
I just started the Artists Way this week and I stumbled onto your video. You said something about thinking other people would hate your art even though no one has said anything negative to you. That hit me so hard. I talk myself out of making a painting or whatever because my inner critic says, people will hate it. Blah blah blah. I am glad I am not alone in that but I will fight it ow .thank you
Stroopwaffle on a hot cup of tea so the steam warms it and softens it up 🤤 and loop earplugs to help with super loud spaces ❤ both of those pieces of information have saved me more times than I can count (mostly the loops)
You’re comments about over thinking and beating yourself up resonates with me so much. Thank you for narrating your thought process. It’s honest and I like that. Your art is also really sweet and colorful.
I have thoughts lol: When you said if you want something to happen, you have to put yourself in a position to help that along…so true. I also agree with ‘new thing anxiety’. When I was in college I avoided using the campus bus that literally when to my apartment building, just because I didn’t understand the stops, etc. I think it’s great you are pushing yourself but also understanding that sometimes you won’t always be like ‘great that was worth it’. But you may be grateful for having done it. I really enjoy the heart-to-heart videos where you make it okay to be human. To be scared….
I've been doing The Artist's Way with a friend for the past 5 weeks so this vlog series is coming at the perfect time! I initially picked the book up because you mentioned it in one of your earlier videos. Can't wait to see you do week 4 (media deprivation) because that one is ROUGH. Good luck! Stay strong! 💪✨
When you spoke about shame I felt like I was hearing my thoughts read aloud back to me. It was a really intense feeling! I’ve never heard another artist speak about it quite like this, so thank you. Your art and videos are beautiful~☆
It took the majority of my life to get into writing. Growing up I tried so many times to keep a diary to no avail until I think things I kept bottled up really needed to be expressed in some way. My thoughts, good and bad, poured out onto paper. I even learned that I love making lists like a list of my favorite things or my dislikes or my favorite TV shows, etc. It helped so much and while I don't write as much, I still keep it up. Writing helps a ton and is a great way to get a break when you're burnt out on art.
I’m so happy you’re doing this it wasn’t until I started doing a mental health routine-journaling in the morning, then walking and seeing a therapist that my art started to thrive. It sucks how much trauma and other things can hold us back creatively and I’m happy you’re giving yourself space to breathe.
Just borrowed the artist’s way from my artist studio mate as she swears by it. Did two days of morning pages already and will ‘officially’ start tomorrow!
I'm enjoying this series, I saw a lot of the later episodes but need to watch the rest. Thanks so much for sharing. I love the idea of artist dates to help inspire us. Thanks for showing that paintings change and evolve, that most of us don't instantly create a perfect painting. I like how your painting turned out. ❤🍎
I feel like I need to revisit The Artist's Way, it's been a couple years, and I just love this idea and treating your child self to all the treats and fun stuff that you loved. And you need to treat the little kid self especially after revisiting some more painful pieces of your past. And this painting you made has so much wholssomeness and heart, I love it :)
I'm Autistic and I hate driving to places I've never been before as well as busy places. I have a pair of loops which I keep on my keyring to help with the noise in those places, although they do make noises inside your head really loud so I hate trying to talk with them in. But I prefer to travel in my car as it's like a tiny box of comfort outside the home, like a traveling safe space.
my boyfriend is going to law school at UNLV and I'm going to move out there with him once he gets settled, and it's been terrifying me. But you make me feel like there is a calm space for people to live and exist in vegas without partypartyparty
I just found your channel and binged a bunch of your videos. I really appreciate how genuine you are and all the little moments you share of your daily life. Love this series by the way, will definitely be watching more and may check out this book too! 😊
What an adorable painting! Love the blushies of the girl on the bottom. I'm a loner, and have solo-(art) dates 99% of the times I do something outside of my house. As for you feeling overstimulated in crowded places, I recently learned that my favorite museum, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, offers a room for people who do get overstimulated, to de-stimulate for a while. I don't know when someone is allowed to make use of that room. But I think it's pretty cool that they think to do this. Perhaps more museums do this as well.
that's so cool! I wish we had that here, I think next time I might just bring headphones or something :') I go on a lot of artist dates myself too, but it's usually not as intense as that day
Loved seeing this second part to your journey! Your artist dates are a fun idea and I’m sure refreshing and inspiring, especially when you find an artist you love unexpectedly! Thanks for sharing. 😊😊
I used to be a jeweler, start with copper as it’s cheap enough to practice with! Start by learning soldering basics and go from there and please PLEASE get proper fume control if you’re DIY’ng it! Specifically for soldering ❤️❤️
Your last video about this inspired me to finally get back into the book, I tried in 2017, didn't get very far. I only just started reading it a few days ago, but I've been back into my morning pages for a little while. Trying to think what I want to do for my artist dates.
I genuinely love this series so much! I've been loving your work so far and this series has just been the cherry on top. It's full of motivation and reality but in a good way, and I love it sm. Due to it I've looked into getting the book myself and trying it out since the hope of healing sparked had sparked even more while watching. You're a genuine inspiration! ❤❤❤❤❤
I love this and am going to have to read this book now. I “try” to do a Divergent Day once a week! It’s a day where I create and consume inspiration with no thoughts around “will this sell/is this good”. Unfortunately, I have been so busy this summer- I haven’t made it a priority. This is inspiring to get back to it because those times are incredibly important. Thank you for sharing yours with us!
I love that you're doing this Artist's Way series!! I've had the book for awhile & have only really done Morning Pages. It'll be really good for me to see you do more of it. haha. I think I'm gonna try it out again.
Just started this journey, too- thank you for posting so vulnerably & sharing your ideas! I found you while searching for artist date ideas, and it was exciting to see your fresh material!! Looking forward to more!
Thanks for sharing your art journey with The Artist's Way! I have dealt with a lot of fear holding me back from the creative ventures I want to pursue so after seeing your videos, I also decided to order the book and hopefully consistently keep up with it and lift some weights that I've been letting hold myself back. Here's to a new art journey!
Your first video had me taking a peek at the book! It's such a weird coincidence because a family member brought some food/drinks I've not tasted since maybe 12 years old when I finished this video. It was a fun match-up. The idea of artist dates is really exciting, since I have a lot of things I've wanted to try. I'm working my way through some of the smaller, easier ones to try out (like reading more of a fantasy book I have, or looking into fun things my college/community is offering for free). It'll be interesting to see you go through the weeks. Best of luck with it!
I love the flower piece! Also I like the childhood snacks idea but omg celery repulses me I just can't within the taste and texture. There are definitely better things to pair peanut butter with in my humble opinion :) hehe xx
Tiffany!! It is so nice to watch this series and to see your journey!! These videos have been so inspiring!! Thank you for sharing, you are teaching me so so much!!
Loved this one, gonna have to visit that gallery (didn’t even know it was there before now) also I wanna know how you’re having your cute little picnic outside because girl it is hot here in LV rn 🥵 I really get what you mean about not feeling comfortable in loud/crowded areas, I am much too anxious to do what you did, proud of you for going tbh, the strip can be intimidating!
I just watched part 1 yesterday and I thought this couldn't come at a better timing than now ! I think I'm also suffering from art block right now and I could relate to almost all the feelings and experiences you described. Thank you for being so open with your struggle and with sharing your journey of this different approach by doing the artist way (haven't tried it myself so I'm curious how it'll be for you =). I hope you can gain something valuable from it and inspiration and motivation will come back again to you, good luck and thank you for these videos ☆
On your last video you asked for book recommendations and I got you! I've been a perpetually blocked artist most of my life (the reason for it was much deeper than any of the books I bought. I had some serious trauma) ANYWAY book recs: And Then They Grew Up by Rachel Friedman. Craftfulness by Rosemary Davidson and Arzu Tansin. The Art of Aliveness by Flora Bowley and lastly, The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp. Hope you like them!
Hello! I recommend you The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Mandon. I love The Artist's Way and Big Magic, they are my favorites in the whole world. but that book gave me instant relief. It's really great!
I went to school for metalsmithing! It's so much fun (a little stressful too though, tbh!) Feel free to let me know if you have any getting started questions!
Hi! Love your art. Just out of curiosity what tablet pencil you use? I am in the process of getting a tablet and I am searching for a good tablet pencil. Thank you so much ❤

Just going to say it, the clip of the wind flipping your sketchbook is so good 🥹❤
i tried to match it up with the beat of the song too hehe
I know ryt🥰
i was thinking the same thing! the way it matched with the song and flipped rhythmically was so satisfying
By coincidence, I happen to be reading the artist's way at the minute so when I saw you were doing this video series I got really excitied ! It's nice to see others going through this process too. I might talk about my experiences on my own channel, you've inspired me !
somethings in the air, I feel like many are on the same wavelength

We will always support you. Keep working hard no matter what.
Ok, but those flippy spoons are magical. The first time I saw one I was so baffled by the ingenuity!
I love that you've turned this into a series! Inspiring me to start my own Artist's Way journey ❤
Thank you for your kindness! Love an artist date to feel in tune with my inner creativity! This is fantastic energy. The scenery is beautiful! Enjoy 😊
I have thoughts lol:
When you said if you want something to happen, you have to put yourself in a position to help that along…so true.

i wish i could give you a big, warm hug and thank you personally for the comfy and wonderful vlogs 💕
I've been doing The Artist's Way with a friend for the past 5 weeks so this vlog series is coming at the perfect time! I'm on week 6 now! The videos are coming out a little slower than the rate I'm going, but the media one really was SO rough
When you spoke about shame I felt like I was hearing my thoughts read aloud back to me. It was a really intense feeling! I’ve never heard another artist speak about it quite like this, so thank you. Your art and videos are beautiful~☆

agreed, the lists are surprisingly very nice to figure myself out~
5:32 shame is def a relatable problem that we let stop us from doing things and yeah lots of people make me anxious too

the whole time i was out i was thinking about my headphones, I'm never leaving the house without them again :')
I've had the Artist's Way sitting on my shelf for a year now - this is inspiring me to pick it up again!
Let’s work on it together :)
LOVING this series so far (tho all your videos are 10/10) I found this super interesting! :)
my boyfriend is going to law school at UNLV and I'm going to move out there with him once he gets settled, and it's been terrifying me. But you make me feel like there is a calm space for people to live and exist in vegas without partypartyparty
there is definitely space outside of the party scene in vegas! You just have to look a little and there's actually a lot of fun stuff :)
loving the series, thank you for sharing your experiences, thoughts and feelings
Loved watching you work through the painting process ❤
I just found your channel and binged a bunch of your videos. I really appreciate how genuine you are and all the little moments you share of your daily life. Love this series by the way, will definitely be watching more and may check out this book too! 😊
this is so chilled and relaxing, can't wait to see what you get up to in the next 9 weeks! and I'm gonna go buy the book ❤
your morning pages have inspired me to journal more again too! its helped already, jope i can make it a habit 🌸
Keep going Tiffany!! This is a really wonderful series and encourages me to be more mindful about my day to day artist life🎉
morning pages literally changed my life! I haven't done the whole course but maybe I'll do it alongside you!
the little assignments are the best part imo !

every video in this series is so beautiful + inspiring
EEEE
I'm loving this series on the artist way as I am also reading this currently😊 and resonate with your videos a lot!! ❤
You're soooo inspiring !
Omg!! This set-up is so cute and adorable 💜🪻

Thank you for inspiring, I always want to do some painting after watching your videos! 😍👍Greetings from Canada!
Celery and peanut butter giving me cooking with zefronk flashbacks to when i was little :)
Loved the artwork the girl with the green hair is so cute. I really like celery and peanut butter but put raisins on it so it's ants on a log.
i used to put raisins on it on girl scout outings to make them little ants too! fond memories
I love the flower piece! Also I like the childhood snacks idea but omg celery repulses me I just can't within the taste and texture. There are definitely better things to pair peanut butter with in my humble opinion :) hehe xx
maybe apples hehe
Yummyyyy 🍎🍏😆

that's so cool! I was thinking of maybe starting with wax carving and just outsource the metal pouring first until I get the hang of things >:)

How was the Art gallery show?
Hi! Love your art. Just out of curiosity what tablet pencil you use? I am in the process of getting a tablet and I am searching for a good tablet pencil.
