Wow what a powerful story!.I have watched all the videos of this Tsunami many times and wondered how some of the survivors were and how they might have gotten through this.I cannot believe that I would have been brave enough to do what this brave man did.I am a scarcity cat when it come to water.I am so glad he and his family made it.

自分のプライドだけは守ろうとする老害は家族の避難を妨害した事を決して公表しないだろう。その点、自分の失敗も包み隠さず警告を話す臼澤さんは偉い。

It's rather pointless putting Japanese subtitles on a Japanese video. Much better if there was an English option.
They added a translation to everything he was talking about.
