As of yesterday, I have Slideboarded more than any other person at the Wilderness in the WI Dells! It took like all day, but after 86 rides, my name is at the top of the leaderboard!
Those old abandoned tube slides were THE BEST. You could never control which one you would go down as you were at the mercy of the lifeguards at the lazy river guiding you along
The old slides under sun runner were called raging Rapids. It and sun runner were built at the same time, but raging Rapids was a safety hazard so it was shut down.
Ya I remember the old blue one, every time I pass it while going on sunrunner it kinda brakes my heart because it used to be my favourite as a child, although it wasn’t as fun when the lineup was super long, I still had some pretty good memories
I loooooved going on them but I could totally get it being a hazard. It was like tube rush hour with life guards getting run over trying to herd the tubes.
jordan cates not sure, my guess is that the drop at the end of the spiral was potentially dangerous. It's a fast drop and if you weren't holding on to your tube hard enough you could fall into the concrete like walls on the sides. I nearly hit my head against the wall one time and if I had I most certainly would have been injured.
Austin Drum its bc a lot of people go there everyday and lots of people love that me. I myself love that place. But the purple slide made me drown😱 and if they make new slide it would take them months and the people will bc really mad
Gilliane Fagel I'm not saying I don't like the waterpark but they could just clean it up and spend some of their billions on renovating it if millions of people are coming through there every year.
Austin Drum one of them thats beige coloured and its the highest slide thats kind of slow has brown stains all over it and its disgusting. On one part where you curve up the whole thing was just brown. I dont care tho lol
It’s so sad seeing the remains of the extinct slides because I remember going on them as a kid. The blue slide under the sun runner was another tube slide that was half in the dark, and the one on the other side of the park was one where you would take a board, slide down and skid across the water in the pool on the board, I know one of them was called raging rapids but I forget the name of the other one. I also remember the original sky screamer, which were replaced by the two very tall slides, one is now dark and one is now uncovered. They’re essentially the same slide still but I think they were renovated to be slightly safer. Plus the purple slide you liked is called Nessies revenge, it’s notorious for being painful lol.
That first abandoned slide you showed was the best! It was a slide that you were in like a cart and you would go straight down then level off then skip across the water about 50 ish yards. Probably isn’t there cause people were getting hurt
The slides under the sun runner recently closed. The slide tower by the tsunami used to have my favourite slide called the thunderbolt. You would go down the slide on a board and bounce along the water. Most of the slides that are wide you can use a tube if you want to. The blue bullet the enclosed dark blue racing slide is currently my favourite.
I think they removed the Thunderbolt because of too many injuries. I didn't get a chance to go, but when I went to WEM 6 or 7 years ago it was a blast seeing people go down!
ElectricMuffins ya. I never did get injured on it but one time I did hit the board hit the water hard and my back hurt for a bit. I also remember wiping out on it once. The slide was a blast to go on.
I hurt my self in the thunderbolt because I was going really fast and I slid right over the water and fell right on the tiles at the end and hit my head pretty hard
I went to West Ed when I was like 13 or 14 years nold and was flying out of Edmonton to The Netherlands where my dad lives. I got a Summer Attraction Pass which gave you un limited access to the waterpark and amusement park and a bunch of other stuff. I went like 5 days in a row before I left, and then another few days when I got back. Definitely made full use of that Pass. They even had Bungee Jumping there at the time, Although you had to pay extra for that. But at that age (13-14) that waterpark was badass. Even just the Wavepool was sick. I found out later that they actually have held Raves at the water park before. But someone died there so I'm not sure if they still have those... Apparently water parks and ecstacy don't mix well together. 😂
every public pool and hot tub in the states has signs that say shower before entering pool. do people actually do that? no, because they forget or its not convenient. if you are forced to walk through a shower then you remember. leave your trunks on if you are penis shy. this is to help reduce waterborne illnesses. then when you come back to change you can rinse the chlorine off and other things that were in the water. sounds like a great idea to me.
great video, now I know what slide boarding is. Just booked a cruise on the msc Seaside jan. 6,2018 and it will have those slides. Hope you and Molly can book soon, interesting ship with ziplines, bowling, and a 5d theater.
Fishy! 2:43 they have that at kalahari in ohio but sadly their is no music. Also what is the scariest slide? They should get a roller coaster water slide those are cool.is the water deep in that hamster ball ride?
Haven’t been there since Highschool. Sad to see some of my favourite rides gone. The surf board thing used to be this knee board thing that would launch you across a pool which was great. It was so much fun skidding across the water.
The first abandoned slide you showed was called like lightning or something and you went on a board on a chain or something and then went down super steep and skimmed across the water. The second one is called Raving Rapids it’s kind of like a lazy river.
Also one time i went to the front of the wave pool and i was actually getting sucked in and the life gaurds where blowing their whistles but i swam out because it doesn't suck much water in.
8:40 Not as hard as you think, to anyone thats like "wow that's expensive" come to Windsor's Adventure Bay, its 23$ to get into the park and the flowrider is free to use ( BODYBOARD ONLY) if you want to stand up you have to take mandatory 2 classes ( classes are 10$ and are about 2 hrs long).
I was on the zipline and as soon as I got off the platform I looked straight at the back of blue Thunder wave pool and it was the best thing I did in 2018
YO the water slides up by the sun runner used to be operational at the same time. So they werent stopped because the sun runner's construction. They were really dope, almost like dark ride water slides. I remember this tube further down with these crazy flashing lights, and i used to plug it up, and therd be like 30 people stuck behind me yelling hahahaha. Thats probably why they took them out
It’s the best even in the under the water park stuff there’s also a vending machine that you can get free drinks it’s just awesome blue boards and crew some thing but it’s just a
They used to have tubs you could rent and use in the wave pool and on most of the old waterslides like twister, howler, and corkscrew. Is that still a thing or is it mandatory now to go on them without a tube?
For the wavepool you can rent tubes, even though you can badly hurt people with them. For the Twister and Howler tubes are optional, and for the Corkscrew tubes are no longer allowed.
Just a little disappointed you didn't show where the cabanas are in relation to everything in the waterpark. I seen one over by the hamster wheel thing but do you know where the other ones are?
I want to go back there but this covid virus is ruining my plans! i was there in like 2003 and they had a red slide that dropped down almost vertical and i was going like 50 mph at the end of it.
heloo, can i use your video on my TV Program channel? i am a one of the creative team at KUY GTV and of course your channel youtube's name will published too i'm waiting for your feedback, thank you..

They were not built at the same time. Sun runner was built in the 2000’s. Raging rapids was an original slide when the park opened.
Thank You! 😋
Ya I remember the old blue one, every time I pass it while going on sunrunner it kinda brakes my heart because it used to be my favourite as a child, although it wasn’t as fun when the lineup was super long, I still had some pretty good memories
Raging rapids was my favourite!
I loooooved going on them but I could totally get it being a hazard. It was like tube rush hour with life guards getting run over trying to herd the tubes.
you can actually go on the green twisty slide(the cork screw) with tubes along with several other slides
I'm sad they got rid of Raving Rapids, it's the abandoned slide near the end
jordan cates not sure, my guess is that the drop at the end of the spiral was potentially dangerous. It's a fast drop and if you weren't holding on to your tube hard enough you could fall into the concrete like walls on the sides. I nearly hit my head against the wall one time and if I had I most certainly would have been injured.
It used to be my favourite as a child, the start was always my favourite
That was my fav
i always used to his my head when i went down the drop when i was a kid
Imagine if they did remake Raging Rapids as Raving Rapids, but with dubstep music all the way down
I remember the first time I came here I almost died lol
It is so much fun there I was there Saturday and my family stayed for 7 hours
My favorite one us The Blue Bullet.
MTN Dew Vlogs dont go on the blue bullet in winter,! It will freeze you!
VolfGang13 what do you mean by that?
Q the water is so cold on ur back that you can't breathe
But the waterpark is indoors
The music makes it so epic.
I live in Edmonton and you just pick some stairs and go down the slide
Same tho, I always have in mind what slide I want but I always end up at a different one so I just go down that one
Awesome water park, I love the music while you were editing
The raging rapids slide is the dark blue one but it closed
there isnt even a slide called raging rapids-
It's weird that they don't remove the old slides, instead they just leave them there. It makes the waterpark a little junky in some places.
Austin Drum its bc a lot of people go there everyday and lots of people love that me. I myself love that place. But the purple slide made me drown😱 and if they make new slide it would take them months and the people will bc really mad
how are you alive now
FS Mon bc the life guard helped me.........

Matthew Walsh why were the other ones closed
Are you guys going to do an overview review of the entire mall? A quick review on the entire experience of the mall?
+merf64 we do have some footage from the mall itself, that we might toss together
I went to West Ed when I was like 13 or 14 years nold and was flying out of Edmonton to The Netherlands where my dad lives.

I dont do it cause whats the point
its to wash off nasty stuff on your body so it doesn't get circulated in the pool.
@@ThoosieJP Hygiene, dammit.
Really great tour. Looks like a lot of fun.
I’m super exited to go there next week which is why I’m watching a lot of videos of it so I know it
I’m gonna go to the water park in a couple of days
How did it go?
the blue one under the sun runner was my favorite slid :( what a way to find out its gone
The old slides were goated
I live less than a block away but ive never been. I should go this sunday
Me and my friends were in that wave pool and the waves were so powerful we all went flying into other people and it was awesome
great video, now I know what slide boarding is. Just booked a cruise on the msc Seaside jan. 6,2018 and it will have those slides. Hope you and Molly can book soon, interesting ship with ziplines, bowling, and a 5d theater.
+Patrick9629 that sounds like an awesome ship. Slideboarding would be perfect for a cruise ship
That blue structure on the edge of the wave pool also used to be a huge rock wall climb there as well as the bungee jump.
The green one is a tube slide as well and that blue one is the best I miss it
Fishy! 2:43 they have that at kalahari in ohio but sadly their is no music. Also what is the scariest slide? They should get a roller coaster water slide those are cool.is the water deep in that hamster ball ride?
You can take tubes on the twister, the corkscrew, and maybe the howler
We rented our own private cabana last time we were the and it was awesome. Doing it again this summer. It's worth the price
I’m going here in 3 days for a birthday party!! I’m hyped
Haven’t been there since Highschool. Sad to see some of my favourite rides gone. The surf board thing used to be this knee board thing that would launch you across a pool which was great. It was so much fun skidding across the water.
So what , exactly

I would think it stays open
@@IntheLoopPodcast idk, with all that water it could be dangerous. I't would be cool to look at that while partying it up though
PikUpYourPantsPatrol it’s indoors

ElectricMuffins Interesting thanks.
Just a little disappointed you didn't show where the cabanas are in relation to everything in the waterpark. I seen one over by the hamster wheel thing but do you know where the other ones are?
Terri Wood kind of by the sun runner
How long does it takes To go on the major atractions?
Depends on how busy the park is
Nessie’s revenge is the purple bumpy one
You should’ve talked about twister and howler.
11:30 omg I miss that waterslide but not really cause I hit my head the first time I went down it :P
I went on the slide with the loop its so fun it dosent feel like you go upside down
