It would be awesome if Ultrahuman could push sleep data to Garmin so that we could wear our Ultrahuman rings while we sleep and our Garmin watches during the day.
@@1BobCarter that would be sweet! Garmin could easily turn that on by pulling in sleep data from Apple or Google health. Then it would simply be Ultrahuman > Apple > Garmin.
Thanks for the updated review! My Epix is 24/7 device but every time I entertain a smart ring purchase UltraHuman is what I keep coming back to. Now with your 20% off link, I may just purchase myself "another, holiday gift" to save Santa the some weight. Thanks!
I bought this ring based on your review. Wore it for a year and slowly watched the battery life get worse over time. 36 hours before having to charge it again ultimately made me give up on it. I'm glad you actually mentioned this in your video. The claimed 6 days battery life is a complete fabrication and has no bases in reality even when I had it from new I got maybe 4 days. On a positive side there has been a huge improvement in the app. However having to charge it so often was the deal breaker for me so I've gone back to Whoop.
UH customer support has replaced my ring twice in a span of 5 months due to rapid battery drain on every replacement ring. I got tired of it and asked for a refund. I don’t understand how TH-camrs never experience this and claim they’ve been using it for a year wow! 🤷🏻
Another great video, very well done! Your ring videos have been super helpful. I ended up finding a very lightly used second hand (finger?!) Ring Air in my size locally at great savings. Overall very impressed. I'm considering doing the same with an Oura to compare, but the Ultrahuman and Oura apps seem very similar now, so the extra monthly cost seems silly. Thanks again, great work!
I have used the Ringconn 2 for around 40 days. Really like the size of the 2 and the battery performance so far. Also a very active forum community. Accuracy still remains to be decided. Also bought the Oura Gen 4, but returned it after like a week. Felt way too bulky compared to ringconn 2, was also disappointed with the app, was way too simplified and took too long to check steps when I tried to do comparison between Oura 4, ringconn 2 and Apple Watch 10. UltraHuman looks interesting, like you can see your many times you turned during sleep, might buy it and try it.
😂You must not have had the oura ring at all. The menu is not simplified compared to ring con. You just got caught in a lie. That thing has too much data. The ringconn is way too simple
After many recommendations I bought the Ultrahuman ring but I’m disappointed, the battery life is only 2 days but that’s not the issue. Many times I’d be on a walk and it would alert me to move!! So I don’t trust it anymore
I have just had mine sent out for review and I wondered how it monitors when you sleep, like do I have to activate it to sleep mode or will it do it automatically?
I'm very confused between Oura Ring 3 vs Ringconn 2 vs Ultrahuman Ring Air. I really like the ring Conn's charging case. Any suggestions between the 3 for my first smart ring? All are similarly priced right now.
They all provide similar metrics. The Oura Ring will end up costing you the most long term since you need to pay $70 / year to keep the subscription. Between RingConn and Ultrahuman it's tough because they're very similar. Hardware wise I prefer the Ultrahuman because it's slightly thinner and round while the RingCon has a squareish feel to it. I also find the UH app to be easier to understand but Ringconn isn't bad either!
I’ve been using OURA RING Gen3 for the past year or so. It’s been good, but I’m looking for a change, and I don’t like the subscription model! Which one has accurate data?
I'm waiting for a subscription to use your stove and to walk in shoes. Shit these subscriptions are going way too far. Out here in LA you can get a sub at your car wash. They can cost you hundreds of dollars a month.
I have a garmin watch BUT looking into buying the ring for a more dept insight. My garmin is more for running i feel. And i want to look more into my overal health
I think this video just pushed me over the edge of trading in my Oura for the Ultrahuman! I’ve been debating since the gen 4 came out literally a few months after I bought the gen 3 But not having to pay extra for gold and a 50 trade in credit really sells it. Thank you for such an informative video!
I keep thinking about the Helio... It's literally less than half the price and doesn't seem THAT much weaker a product?!? (I'm a size 10 so think it will fit too)
The black friday deal on the Helio ring is crazy! It's a good option if you also have an Amazfit watch. By itself I feel like it's a bit less impressive.
1. Have you ever had a problem that the ring cannot connect to your mobile phone? 2. In 1 year that you have been using it, have you ever had problems requiring a new ring replacement? 3. How many times do you need to change your ring within 1 year?
1.) Occasionally the ring disconnects but it will reconnect and sync any missed data shortly after 2.) No issues within the year I've been using it other than slight battery degradation as mentioned in the video. 3.) Hard to say. Like if you wear it daily then you need to charge every 4-5 days. There are 365 days in a year so I'd say you're charging the ring 90 or so times if you always have it on.
@@ChaseTheSummit My ring, which has been in use for about 7 months, has had a problem with the ring not being able to connect many times. But every time there was a problem, it was resolved by UHR's customer service very well every time by changing it for a new one without any delay. I can tell you that ้his after-sales service is excellent and he is very responsible for the use of the rings.
I'm currently in the market for a smart watch, and ring. The T-Rex 3 is getting good reviews, and I like the idea of having 1 app for both. The Amazefit combo seems like it would work well for that. They also currently have their Helio ring on sale for $149.99 with no sub needed. My wife has had an Oura ring for 2-3yrs now and likes it, but she was grandfathered in before they went to a subscription model. They also changed their warranty from 2yr's to 1yr. Her experience has been good, but I'm not into the idea of buying an expensive ring, and then having to pay monthly to use it. That leaves the Ringconn gen 1($169), or gen 2($299/314.99), the Helio(149.99), or the Ultrahuman Ring Air for $296.65. Any thoughts on those 3? Does 1 stand out, and which is the best bang for your buck?
If you're buying into the Amazfit Ecosystem it makes sense to get their ring as well. If you're not using an Amazfit watch the Ultrahuman or Oura provide a bit more insight compared to Helio in my opinion.
These rings are designed specifically for sleep recovery. They do offer workout tracking but it is not their strongest attribution. If those are your priorities, then I would recommend other devices like any Garmin or the Apple watch. Hope this helps :)

@@ScuuBdoo thanks for sharing! If you’re only getting a couple of days of battery life it might be worth contacting UH customer support!
Doesn't Whoop come with a subscription fee?
@@TheWeightedTooth It does. I pay up front for a year which makes it €22/month instead of €30.
@@ScuuBdoodoesn’t seem cogent to me. Paying more because of the two seconds it takes to put the ring on the charger every three days

Thanks for the informative video. Just bought my first smart ring.
I've tested a ton of these rings and this one really is one of my favorites. And now I've somehow lost mine. 🤦♂
lol! a "find my ring" function would be nice!
@ It’d probably be easy to fit a large speaker system into one of these. 🤔
Appreciate your transparency Chase!
You know typical diamond rings or even ring pops, they can use that space for extra battery instead of diamond or candy. Or maybe a solar panel.
That would be kinda funny. A ring pop sized smart ring with a giant battery hanging off the front lol.
Thank you for the review!
Totally agree, had mine for over a year now and great product but battery life is 😢 plus I’m thinking of buying a new one in the sale again cheers
