Good insights on the fallacy of the modern interpretation of the abstract object that is intelligence. But don't fall into dualism. The intellect is a good servant, but a terrible master. If you are looking at the sacred and think it apart from the profane, this is not it. The spiritual is the ordinary, the intellectual is the abstract. ,
The soul splits into two halves at birth. About 80% souls when complete are about a 50/50 feminine/ masculine but 20% are either majority masculine or majority feminine. A majority feminine soul will split in to two female bodies at birth. A majority masculine soul will slit into two male bodies. 80% will spit into female male bodies. I don’t know why god designed it this way but I believe it’s part of his/her nature to create variety. God has feminine/masculine characteristics as well, we were created in the image of this.
You’re right we shouldn’t stick only to known religion. I would qualify as Catholic as I was baptized and confirmed, which has very conservative views on sex and sexuality. However, it’s got very open people and I have delved into Islamic mysticism and very into Gnosticism. Also, I have a Physics degree but believe my IQ as average. I take solace in doing highly technical things, because I can’t talk to girls. They make me nervous and confuse my brain. Anyway, much respect to you and finding out who you are and being attracted to girls.
If you get into many aspect of human history, anthropology, sociology and human psychology and many aspect of science, you will discover all religions are most probably man-made and this is not about whether there is an entity or entities that give birth to the Universe which is not necessary have any connection to the creation of religions, a man-made narcissistic geocentric, human centric claim how "We" and the world are created by "GOD" because "We" think we are so important and proceeded to give attributes to the "Creator". I don't hate religion because it is useful human coping mechanism for a lot of people, however it can definitely be problematic when human written "holy" scriptures and laws discriminate people based on beliefs. We can only hope religions continue to reform that goes in line with the progress of humanity and compassion which evidently it has if we look into history. That's what we can hope for but of course there will be sacrifices when pushing for reforms.
There are truths and lies in the Bible. The greatest gift you can have is a spirit of discernment to be able to discern truth from false. Many parts of the Bible were written through the person filters of men with big egos 200 years after Jesus died. There are truths as well , mainly the versus about love.
