So no one is going to mention that transition from black and white to colour? :) And you’re right, at 9:33 it looks like you included footage from Ocean Beach haha
I love all your videos. I was in Korea for 10 years, came back to the States a year ago, and for some reason, this particular video made me feel so nostalgic for my time there. I loved going on solo trips and exploring hidden pockets of Korea. Again, great video!
I really enjoyed watching this video. Wow. You were at my birth place, Buphuan, where is hot spot for broadcasting on TV when typhoon comes. Saw you were at one of picking tangerine farm. I strongly suggest, if you’d be in Jeju sometime in November or December, that you visit the place where you’d have another good chance of picking tangerine at IEUMSAE_JEJU.
I loveee your videos so much, I rarely comment since I'm too shy but I just wanted to say that your videos make me so happy, I love all the things you capture in your videos, everything is so pretty; and you're also so cute and nice, I always look forward to them, thanks a lot for sharing them!. I hope I can go to korea soon and visit all those beautiful places as well :'))

oh my gosh the way you described yourself at the end (spending time alone, walking a lot, enjoying long bus rides) that is 100% me, and what a beautiful thing to know that there are more of us out there :)
OMG I guess I got really lucky. A couple days ago I found out about 제주도 and I thought about how cool it would be to visit. Now you made a video, right after I was thinking of it. 😭 Thanks for the awesome video.
I love all your solo trips. I never went anywhere far alone until fairly recently i went on a solo trip to Singapore and LOVED every moment of it. All the long walks and bus rides. Your solo trips made me want to travel more! Thank you!! 💛 Oh and your videos never fail to put a smile on my face 😊 Have a nice day Cari! 🌻
Several decades ago, a famous Japanese writer visited and traveled through Jeju Island. Hello Cari, it was such a wonderful video! i am Chinese and living in Canada right now. The pandemic has been really bad here and just working from home now. I was watching a lot of videos here time to time. Your video just popped up one day and I just couldn't stop watching! It has been a dream of traveling to Korea one day. Hopefully it will came true. :) I have heard that the situation got worse in Korea and hopefully you and your family is doing well.
I notice your channel is getting stronger stronger over time in a good way. comparing the numer of subscribers and no.of view and likes and once someone is hooked up to your channel it is almost impossible to get out of it.. wow
Torturously beautiful... I just got sent back a month ago when I was there for the first time and immediately had thoughts of returning and living there for a year (once I get a few things squared away). My dad is from Jeju, and it was just surreal imagining him playing in the untouched forest and walking along the volcanic rocks in this heavenly island in the 1940s. He passed away when I was 10 so I do quite a bit of romanticizing about his childhood. I remember feeling "this is my island, I belong here". lol. You really captured that intimate feeling of Jeju in this video Cari! Literally this is the best video of Jeju... it captures that side of Jeju that remains as an image in my mind. And! And! I didn't know kyul was available starting from November. I was like "what the heck, where's all the kyul?!" And now I know! Looking forward to smelling the fragrance in the air... Have much mucho fun tomorrow!!
I'm on a bus going home for thanksgiving and this is just what I needed. I think this is my fav solo trip of yours. You just looked so in your element w the tangergines and the ocean. Excited for the next vlog!!
Loved your choice of bgm for this blog made it so cozy and warm🍁 and you captured the beauty of those places beautifully, making me really want to visit it🧡 thank you for the blog🧡
This was absolutely gorgeous! I'm also one of those people who likes long bus rides and walking a lot, I would love to visit one day. Jeju reminded me slightly of where I grew up in England - the Isle of Wight, so I would recommend you visit if you ever travel to the UK (plus I never see any videos of vloggers visiting the Isle of Wight for some reason). Anyway, this was lovely to wake up to, I just wish I could smell the tangerines with you!
I can't believe how much I enjoy your videos and how much I appreciate the way you share your moments, it's just so calming and nice. I'll like to have thousands of those tangerines, it's all sooo pretty. Feels like talking to a friend, thank you! ❤️
Thank you for another soothing and sweet adventure 😊 And I think I'm also of those patient people. A journey is not just about the destination but also what you slowly soak in along the way 😌
Your videos are so relaxing 😌 I love how you perfectly capture the environment around you. Your videos make me appreciate the simple things that surround me on a daily basis that I don’t usually realize/acknowledge so I thank you for that!
I have no idea how to fully put this into words, but your videos are always just so lovely for the soul! Thank you so much for creating them, and for sharing your memories and journeys with us!
All the delicious sun riped tangerines… And how beautiful they are in the sun! The landscape is sooo beautiful and I Iove your descriptions of the smells and hearing the sound of the waves, seeing the interestingly shaped coast... Thank you for this beautiful vlog and you, completely comfortably and relaxed. :)
It‘s half past midnight where I live and I have a long shift at work tomorrow but I‘m so glad I didn‘t go to bed yet and watched this video. Such a calming and inspiring way to end my day, I‘m pretty sure I‘ll be dreaming of tangerines and sheep tonight, haha!
I always put my tangerines in the fridge before I eat them. 😅 The coldness somehow makes it more refreshing and the flavor pops a little bit more. 😅 Nice video Cari!
Tangerine jam sounds like the best thing in the world 😻🧡 also you sniffing the air for tangerine blossoms reminded me of how much Hawaii smells like orchids wherever I walked! this was soooo lovely and wholesome as always!!
omg that sounds heavenly!! i went to hawaii when i was 3 and my only memory is being chased by a crab and being traumatized LOL so i need to go back and make peace with the islands.
you are so peaceful, I love watching your videos. I hope I can be as brave as you and travel by myself and not miss out on peaceful experiences like these. sending love! ❤️
This video made me soooooo happy (mainly because you were so content throughout the whole thing) and also excited for tangerine season! And oh my gosh the fact that you know about My Father's Dragon(!!!) I still have my super old edition sitting on my bookshelf😊💜
@@caricakes oh my goooooshhh it totally is such an underrated classic...honestly I think that book is what inspired me to go on mini adventures growing up (and even now lol)
제주도 is very beautiful, how you show it is very great and wish to go there in the future~ Walking and taking time to see what you want too and enjoy it is the best way to travel☀️
I don't live in Korea nor have I ever been there before but I know I'm 'that kind of person' - I kept saying pretty or lovely throughout this vlog because the ALL of the places you went to looked like places I'd enjoy. I had no idea you could pick tangerines in Jeju Island so if my vacation plan allows me some time to go there I definitely want to do that, too. I will have to see the ocean while I'm in Korea... I grew up living near the coast and chose to move back near my hometown after I returned from the USA, so I know exactly what you mean about missing the ocean. I love the mountains but there's nothing like coming back to see the ocean and just have the wind blow into your hair and face :) I almost teared up when you were talking about it... I wanted to write more but suddenly, I'm all out of words. But thank you - watching this now made me think of warmer days (I saw the first snowflakes this morning on my way to work) ^.^
omg i highly suggest getting yourself to that tangerine farm! and ugh, right?! its scientifically proven that the ocean (just hearing the waves) decreases stress :)
Cari I love your aesthetic! The colors, the music, the mood, and your wonderful personality is just beautiful to watch. Have you ever thought about making a short film? Watching this video felt like a clip from a film. ❤
Wow!!! 5,000 Won is really cheap for that tangerine experience! And I loooooove tangerines. One of the few fruits I can eat (due to all my different allergies)💕 I‘ve been to Jeju 2 years ago....for 3 days I think?? It was a beautiful place, but unfortunately my family wanted to see/show me sooo many things in such little time that mostly I was super tired and couldn’t really appreciate all of Jeju‘s beauty.
Oh I've recognised a few places I've been to while visiting Jejudo ! 😍 we stayed in Seogwipo actually. Lovely place!! Can't wait for your video on Udo. Been there too earlier this year but arrived so late in the day that I'm sure I missed plenty. I realise how much I miss Korea now.... 😭 Thanks for sharing!! It was a pleasure!!
I legit said out loud "Yay! We are going on an adventure!" Lol. Today has been gloomy and I have been trying to perk myself up, to no avail.....until I watched this video. THANK YOU CARI CAKES!
I've read a comment mentioning that they are too shy to comment, can relate, also, love the work you put into your videos, the whole atmosphere and vibe i get, is so calming, thanks for this video 🌌
ahhh i hope you'll feel less stressed about commenting in the future hehe the main reason i make vids is because i love talking to you guys! and thank you so much!
it seems like its not that cold in korea yet! the nostalgia (tho it had nothing to do with my childhood) made me feel so cozy,, love the video as always
the little details in the improvements of your already perfect videos are just so great. i saw someone referred to you as wholesome and truly that's what your videos are. you're so sweet and just...a ray of sunshine lmao so cute and great. coolest girl i've ever met tbh. my lack of vocabulary is limiting me from expressing how cool you are Cari lmao
You always manage to capture the precious fleeting feeling that comes along with these beautiful days/trips, I love to travel alone too and your vlogs manage to make me feel like I’m reliving some of my fondest past days alone, but simultaneously are so new and exciting and interesting! I’m so glad you enjoyed yourself so much and you did such a beautiful job of editing that I thought the beginning was an advert hahaah
Thank you for your video. Something about your voice tone is just so soothing and charismatic. It will be good if you can share some tips on navigating around Jeju in buses.
I really love Jeju. I've been there several times with my kids. I am glad you to enjoy Jeju. Also I would like to recommend hills which is called Orum? And Halla Mt. The Mt has a breathtaking view. Have a great day!
I looove this video! I literally felt so relax and happy by just watching every single little clip✨ Love your style of editing and filming, as well as music!
Good morning Cari, It's 7:47 am here when I finish watching your vlog. I just woke up. XD Your vlog is always so lovely and relaxing, I can't wait to watch the second one :)
I've just bought a plane ticket for my solo trip to Korea from April to July next year and after binge watching your videos I know I've made the right decision! It's nice to hit the famous spots but I also love just walking, exploring and discovering new things (usually because I'm lost lol) I gotta work on my patience for slow transport though haha. Thanks for all the trip inspiration hehe
It's 12am in dubai and i'm rewatching this for the nth time already. I'll be visiting Jeju this year and am planning to visit the places you've recommended! tysm cari!
😍 I love that spot by the ocean. It's perfect to just sit and listen to the ocean and look at the seabirds and just be.. Oh! And that ending shot with the orange cosmos flowers is one of my absolute favorite spots in Jeju 😍 just a perfect little walk with the most wonderful view! 😄 Loved the vid! 😊
I always love watching your videos. You turned me onto the Glaciers music in your last video. I always get happy when you upload. 😃 I would definitely love to go to Jeju one day.
Isn't Jeju so beautiful! Jealous of your solo trip! I went with my friends and had the most amazing time, it's so tranquil and everyone is so lovely too :) It made me think of home since everyone in the north of England are quite friendly to each other compared to many of places in England haha! I love the transitions and your creative eye in this video :)
This was so lovely 🍊🍊🍊 the transitions at the beginning from grey to colour 👌 looking forward to seeing the next part of the trip. I wish smell-o-vision was a regular thing 😁
the anxiety i got watching the sheep barrel towards you 😱 i'm certain they're perfectly safe to be around but my heart jumped a bit at their determination 🐑
We always watch Battle Trip on KBS and they recently showed Jeju and some nice food, not the typical black pork or what it famous for, but some fish stew with tangerines...damn, I can't wait to go to Jeju some day and try all the tangerine products.
I just found Cari today, and I immediately subscribe to this channel because it is so fascinating! The video editing is super nice, I wish I could record and edit my own vlog like this too.
omg i was very excited for this video when you posted about it on IG! but yeah life got in the way and i only managed to watch it now 🙄 lol. i have always wanted to visit Jeju on a solo trip especially to places exactly like where you went because this girl hate crowds but with my non-existent Korean language i guessed that need to take a back seat for now. can’t wait for your Udo video!
Have you eaten roasted tangerine??Some farms make you roasted tangerines by wrapping some tangerines you picked with tin foil and throw them in the fire like you do with sweet potatoes. It tastes....umm different. Some really love it but most prefer just uncooked tangerines.
I’ve never seen this side of Jeju-do before, definitely adding this on a future travels trip list; gotta brush up on my Korean tho 😅 I love how adventurous your solo trips are and how much you try to get to “know” every new place, makes me want to travel more :) Thanks for another great vid Cari 💜
going to the more popular places is pretty easy with minimal korean but the buses/my map was alllll kinds of messed up so i had to figure stuff out on the fly which would have been really stressful without korean hahah thank you so much!!
We are pretty much alike, enjoying time alone and walking a lot hehe. Jeju is certainly one of the reasons i have to go back to Korea. The sheep made me laugh a lot and also it was cute and relieving the fact that i do not eat them anymore.
Haha we have the same tangerine bag, why am I not surprised! That’s so cute you actually got to pick tangerines with it...I’m here in Florida and everyone keeps commenting on how cute it is but thinks they’re Florida oranges lol. Also I love that you commented that you don’t mind long solo bus rides and walks, I always thought I was weird for being the same but wow you really do get to see some gorgeous spots of the world being that way. ;) lovely video chica!
If you like seeing cities other than Seoul, check out my Outside of Seoul playlist here: bit.ly/2wkkwlN
Omg, my tangerine-picking dream 😭💕
i really cant recommend this place enough! the ahjumma was so kind and the tangerines were SO DELICIOUS!
So no one is going to mention that transition from black and white to colour? :)
And you’re right, at 9:33 it looks like you included footage from Ocean Beach haha
Gah thank you for noticing! Im trying to up my editing game^^
I live right by OB. When I was in Jeju a few years ago, parts of it reminded me so much of OB as well!
That transition was awesome!!
I love all your videos. I was in Korea for 10 years, came back to the States a year ago, and for some reason, this particular video made me feel so nostalgic for my time there. I loved going on solo trips and exploring hidden pockets of Korea. Again, great video!
im so happy to hear that!! its my favorite part about living in korea too :) thank you!
you and your hair surrounded by tangerine trees aaaahhhh!!!! 😍😍😍
the sheep were so cuteee!!! ahahaha 🐑🥕
Heheheh orange overload!!!

The kind of content i was looking for. Thank you so very much.. I was looking for a vlog showing the "non-touristry" parts of Jeju 😉
So beautiful!
oh my gosh the way you described yourself at the end (spending time alone, walking a lot, enjoying long bus rides) that is 100% me, and what a beautiful thing to know that there are more of us out there :)

I could have eaten 100!!!
Ooohhh. My fave type of citrus is the clementine one, which we call kiat-kiat, because it's so tiny.

Good morning Cari, It's 7:47 am here when I finish watching your vlog. I just woke up. XD Your vlog is always so lovely and relaxing, I can't wait to watch the second one :)
Thank you so much! Good morning ☺️☺️
I like this kind of place..looks like so peacefull..you could unwind ..hope to be in there..❤❤❤❤
I've just bought a plane ticket for my solo trip to Korea from April to July next year and after binge watching your videos I know I've made the right decision! It's nice to hit the famous spots but I also love just walking, exploring and discovering new things (usually because I'm lost lol) I gotta work on my patience for slow transport though haha. Thanks for all the trip inspiration hehe
omg i hope your trip is amazing!!!
Loved the vid! 😊
i randomly found it on instagram a few days before i went and im so glad!! the flowers were gorgeous!!
I love this video i cried because is so beautiful thank you ❤🍊🌸
I always love watching your videos. You turned me onto the Glaciers music in your last video. I always get happy when you upload. 😃 I would definitely love to go to Jeju one day.
Omg yay!! I wish they’d make more, theyre really nice guys too!!
cari cakes they should.
I'm planning on moving to SK someday. And I'll visit the spots you go to.
At 10:04 i couldnt help but think about that old vine “look at all those chickens” lol
Isn't Jeju so beautiful! Jealous of your solo trip! I went with my friends and had the most amazing time, it's so tranquil and everyone is so lovely too :) It made me think of home since everyone in the north of England are quite friendly to each other compared to many of places in England haha! I love the transitions and your creative eye in this video :)
yes!! people are so much more chatty there hahaha my guesthouse owner was so funny (even though technically she was from busan haha)
This was so lovely 🍊🍊🍊 the transitions at the beginning from grey to colour 👌 looking forward to seeing the next part of the trip. I wish smell-o-vision was a regular thing 😁
thank you!! and right!? someone needs to invent that asap!
the anxiety i got watching the sheep barrel towards you 😱 i'm certain they're perfectly safe to be around but my heart jumped a bit at their determination 🐑
hehehe honestly, same!
awwww! The lambs were so cute! Especially that little baby lamb 😍😍😍
We always watch Battle Trip on KBS and they recently showed Jeju and some nice food, not the typical black pork or what it famous for, but some fish stew with tangerines...damn, I can't wait to go to Jeju some day and try all the tangerine products.
ohhhh that sounds so interesting!! i'll have to look that up!!
I just found Cari today, and I immediately subscribe to this channel because it is so fascinating! The video editing is super nice, I wish I could record and edit my own vlog like this too.
omg i was very excited for this video when you posted about it on IG! but yeah life got in the way and i only managed to watch it now 🙄 lol. i have always wanted to visit Jeju on a solo trip especially to places exactly like where you went because this girl hate crowds but with my non-existent Korean language i guessed that need to take a back seat for now. can’t wait for your Udo video!
i hope you make it there one day, its really magical!! thank you for watching^^~
I really love the intro and jeju suits your video style and aesthetic so well. Also the sheep!!!! ♥♥♥
right!? i had trouble narrowing down my footage hahahah thank you!
Congratulate on finally living the dream!
hahaha thank you!!
This was so magical !! I loved it so much ! Thank you !
thanks for coming along~
Have you eaten roasted tangerine??Some farms make you roasted tangerines by wrapping some tangerines you picked with tin foil and throw them in the fire like you do with sweet potatoes. It tastes....umm different. Some really love it but most prefer just uncooked tangerines.
omg i've tried roasted grapefruit but never roasted tangerines! i'll have to make some!
I just bought some tangerines and remembered about your video. So i come back just to eat my tangerines with you cos this video is such a mood!!
Oh my gosh that opening 😍 Cari, you're such a radiant being! Also, I read my father's dragon when I was in elementary school too! 🍊
Thank you so much omg and my fathers dragon is a classic!!
I don't usually comment but just wanted to say I love your vlogs, they're so calming and I love the way you shoot them! :)
thank you so much!
Wow, the editing! And THE SHEEP, SO MUCH CUTENESS!
The first time i came to korea i was so shocked by the jeju air prices!! Im really lucky i could make the trip😊
there is tangerines everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its like a dream
it really is!
What a lovely vlog. I hope to do visit Jeju soon too it's a dream of mine! Thank you once again Cari 😄
Cant wait for the next one!!!
Thank you!!!
We are pretty much alike, enjoying time alone and walking a lot hehe. Jeju is certainly one of the reasons i have to go back to Korea. The sheep made me laugh a lot and also it was cute and relieving the fact that i do not eat them anymore.
This is absolutely adorable! Ive been binging all your videos these past few days haha! You’re absolutely glowing girl🍊 !!! Love from Sweden ❤️
Thank you so much!!!
Haha we have the same tangerine bag, why am I not surprised! That’s so cute you actually got to pick tangerines with it...I’m here in Florida and everyone keeps commenting on how cute it is but thinks they’re Florida oranges lol. Also I love that you commented that you don’t mind long solo bus rides and walks, I always thought I was weird for being the same but wow you really do get to see some gorgeous spots of the world being that way. ;) lovely video chica!
yessss baggu!! hahah and hooray for long bus riders! sometimes thats the only way to explore :)
